In the end of the vanilla Destiny 2 campaign is literally the only time we have actually seen the traveler do something ever. Which was break free of its cage the cabal put in it and sent a shockwave of light throughout the galaxy and made contact with The Darkness. That is the only recorded action the traveler has done beside move from planet to planet, besides the book of sorrow because it might be incorrect according to lore. During the start of the collapse, one of rasputins seraphs was caught in the eye of a great storm and spotted the traveler moving and moving fast and couldn’t keep up. And in the EDZ there is the shard of the traveler and that got there during the collapse and is said to have been shed off by the traveler. The Last City is actually somewhere in South America according to many sources/lore and evidence. So the traveler has move a whole lot during the collapse, why? Doing what? Did it use the light to try and defend humanity or itself? Is that why it’s still alive and sent the darkness to the other side of the Milky Way? And now the traveler is awake and the speaker is dead, and no one is listening to it. The mask that the speaker wore, the mask the counselor stomped on in the campaign. It was amplified and would let the wearer have dreams from the traveler itself, before the mask was made the travelers voice was raw from crying out. Maybe the traveler would warn us if we had a speaker and help us prepare for it’s greatest enemy. Hopefully in due time the traveler helps rasputin fight the pyramids when they arrive.
