[i]Sitri, Akuma, and Okobach sat at a campfire in the woods. A thick fog concealed them from outside view but it was apparent there were several figures standing guard nearby. Poking through the embers with a short stick, Sitri glanced over at Akuma, who was eagerly munching through an uncooked rat they had captured. Sitri’s mask sat atop his head and without it on, his form looked more of a human than a demonic entity. His dark brown hair was offset by his pale face and the only thing that remained recognizable of his typical demeanor was his glowing red eyes. [/i] “Damn it Akuma, are you going to eat everything you catch raw? Your manners are about as civilized as those maggots ” [i]Okobach let out an involuntary giggle as Akuma slowed their eating and looked up from their tiny meal, swallowing the bite they just took in a massive gulp. They gave Sitri a wide grin, showing off their jagged teeth.[/i] “Who do you thinksssss we learned it from?” [i]Sitri grumbled something under his breath and went back to poking the fire. Akuma took another bite out of the rat. From a distance, another figure hurriedly made their way towards the fire. [/i] “Sire, we still do not have enough Kuollot to wipe out the humans.” [i]The figure knelt and said in a submissive tone. Okobach giggled again as Sitri let out an angry roar and pushed at the fire, sending flames and embers flying everywhere. Akuma let out a surprised yell, dropped the rat and jumped away as the fire spilled in front of them. [/i] “Collecting Sliver hosts was supposed to be Zepar’s job. Where is he, maggot?” [i]The figure quivered slightly at the outburst but remained kneeling.[/i] “At the Citadel, Lord Sitri.” “Send for him. Him and I have a conversation we need to have.” [i]The figure quickly stood. [/spoiler] [i]As the figure left, Sitri’s gaze flicked over to the surrounding trees. It was difficult to see through the haze surrounding the group but he could have sworn he had seen movement.
