Awesome Exotic -Guess I'll wait for Xur in 5 months
Really cool new exotic heir apparent. But I have zero interest in getting it. I'm burned out on bounties. I'm burned out on doing the same thing over and over again following recipes of boredom.
Would have been nice if completing all the bunkers and legendary lost sectors gave this as a reward. I might actually then feel like experiencing all of the sad content Bungie made this season.
Guardian Games is a cool idea in concept, but there is no meat. There is no novel activity (2v2v2 pvp etc) There are no new temporary gameplay mechanics (modifiers, verdent forrest buffs etc), no new mini story mission with lore. Literally any of this could have justified Guardian Games, instead it is a cool idea, stripped of anything to do, so Bungie can market for more Ever-verse Loot in a season.
I earned the arbalest last year, wasn't particularly fun, but I did get it by playing something different than my usual grind. I'm deeply saddened by how hard it is to mentally muster an attempt to get Heir Apparent.
I also want the seasonal warmind mods because they are dope this season, but again I am just getting so burned out on bounties, repeating the same task lists daily to level up the bunkers. And now the public events are harder to complete, so fingers crossed I can get the mods from there. Such a disappointment of content delivery. The bunkers look dope, the loot is worth the chase, but the attainment mechanisms are just aweful. The season pass has utterly failed to keep me interested.
(Don't get me started on a 1 raid year, thanks for the same content drought as D1, except now i pay $30)
Woops sorry this turned into a rant. Forever and always, a fan of this franchise.

1 답변I would love to get this Exotic, however, the amount of time I would have to spend grinding bounties puts it out of my reach. Not that I wouldn't mind too horribly doing it, I simply am not able to play the game enough every day at this point to get enough bounties (oops, Quests) that would be necessary to get this done in only 3 weeks. 5 or 6 weeks maybe, but not in 3 weeks. As a result, I am not even attempting to get it. Maybe it will show up at some point in Xur's inventory. Or, how about this? Change the "quest" to be something meaningful with the in-game story and lore and make it available on an ongoing basis instead of time gated to a ridiculously small 3 week window.

BUT the gameplay in both is dull, literally zero replayability, and bounty and mod overdose. Champions as the centerpiece of EVERY seasonal activity was a Huge mistake. Very limiting, unimaginative and punishing solo-play too. But, yeah, I feel for the teams who did a great job when the strategic decisions were way off.

4 답변I took one look at the convoluted mess and it was an instant no thanks for me. Just waiting for the day they have something fun to do, in the meantime I'll stick to playing crucible once in a while. Honestly at this point I'm so sick of quests for everything I actually would prefer just good old fashioned RNG drops while doing things I actually enjoy. This even though the RNG gods hate me, I would prefer that frustration to the absolute boredom of these grind, grind, and more grind activities. To this day, one of the best days in my Destiny life was getting Gjallarhorn just playing a normal crucible match. That was awesome, or actually looking forward to seeing what Xur had, I miss that.

1 답변Its like when arbalest got released, I never bothered with the grind though so I waited and it eventually dropped I think 2 seasons later. I am so happy I waited because I got to enjoy the gun for a few hours, dismantle it and go about my day.

1 답변Imagine complaining when there is no content, and also complaining when there is content. Sure, Guardian Games is not all that interesting, but it is not a bounty grind. I'm playing only 1 character and just doing the daily bounties and medals by playing many of the same activities I would already play anyway. I haven't farmed the daily bounties, I haven't farmed for laurels, just played the game. I'll easily get the exotic either today or tomorrow, meaning playing minimally over the 3 week period would result in getting it done easily. Bunkers on the other-hand, I'll agree with you, the Warmind bit payout is definitely focused around bounties over activities, which I think is an issue. Fortunately, many of the perks from the bunker offer Warmind bits for playing game activities, but it requires a bunch of bits before you can even acquire those. Lastly, although I think the roll-out of content this year could have been improved, we are no way near the level of content droughts from D1, not even close.

It hits like a papercut from a 5 year old. I tried it against guardians and in gambit and woooooo no thank you I guess it gives an overshield if you are full health so they make sure it throws pebbles made of styro foam oh by the way bungie. Nice CASH GRAB !!! When you get the Heir apparent you get an EVERVERSE notification that you can BUY for REAL CASH the cool new look for it. WTF IS UP WITH THAT??!!!

LMBFAO you mean this weekend from XUR or wait for it .......... you will be able to purchase it like the thorn in D1 just b4 they tell you oh next week is the beginning the move to Xbox 1/X and you can't have it when we port your characters over to the new system and drop all support for the old.😂 But we have some very nifty HC or ( enter weapon here ) with slide and opening shot that we want you to use diligently.

8 답변I’m having a break from destiny until something new is added. I know it’s time to have a break when I load In out of habit then sit in orbit with zero enthusiasm to do anything. I usually skip a season or two then jump back in enjoy the game for a bit. I don’t know how the die hards play this all year every day, like living a Groundhog Day.

Couldn’t agree more. I saw that gambit and forges were a requirement and immediately said nope! Not doing that. Which is a shame because the gun looks fun. Just not fun enough that grinding this even is worth it. I’m max light so now it’s basically just pvp from here on out. In a side note I’d you want the seasonal mods and weapons just upgrade the Edz bunker to get free bits from crucible. I’ve upgraded all three bunkers and now have over 5k bits all from crucible.

1 답변The bounties, the stupid triumphs (x amount of points from bounties & 25 super kills in Rumble etc) The stupid [i]class[/i] war (not to mention the algorithm used to calculate active players class) And then there’s the absolute lack of ingenuity, fun & worthwhile loot to acquire The Guardian Games are atrocious....the bottom of a very shitty ladder - probably on an equal billing with Solstice Y2 & the Holiday Oven Bungie have really lost their way

It's no wonder why the Red Legion almost won, Guardians are too busy doing dumb shit to notice a real threat. Not to mention that researching and doing quests for guns that are missing parts or understanding in how they work is fine, but why TF would a useful tool against the enemies of humanity be kept locked away as a prize for a competition? I understand that the story doesn't always work because special events wouldn't really exist, but damn! With there being one city remaining and humanity still on the edge of the extinction blade, assets that could save the world wouldn't be locked away as prizes for competitions. Even these recent "oh, I have this weapon back in my vault collecting dust" quests from Banshee and Zavala don't make sense to me. Maybe, I lost a weapon I valued a long time ago and found a lead on where it may be. But not, It's been sitting in my vault the whole time. Or maybe this is actual humanity, seriously. People can't even agree on simple things like keeping the only planet that sustains life within any reasonable distance healthy or whether or not we should overwhelm hospitals with an unchecked pandemic and kill people who might have otherwise had a chance with proper medical assistance. Maybe we would still be this vain and greedy and stupid.

Burnt out you say ? Looking at your activity history tells another story. You don’t even play every day and skip 2/3 days 🤣. You only do 5/6 activities when you do play! unless it’s trials. My poor darling you must be so tired.

Same. I hate doing bounties more than my weekly pinnacles (and I have to force myself to even do those) but when games got released I was pumped to represent my class. But when I saw it was just bounty simulator in an entire season of bounty simulator I decided nah. That exotic ain’t worth it to me, in fact nothing would be worth mindlessly grinding bounties. Except for my precious Thorn catalyst...
