I think it’d be awesome if there is an optional matchmaking for every activity. So, everyone can try and play all the content in the game. And it’s going to be much easier for us than using a third-party website/app to find players to play this content such as Raid or trials.
And it’s our choice if we want it or not! (OFF/ON).
If people don't want to use it they don't.
If people want to use it they do.
That’s it.

I know this is an old topic and has already been discussed to dead but as a returning player i think ALL activities except Raid should have the OPTION to matchmake or not. Just give the fireteam leader the option to choose to matchmake or not.

14 답변Last I heard on the subject, Bungie admitted that their community is too toxic and elitist for Raid matchmaking to work. Personally, I think it should be an option, but Bungie aren't going to change it

40 답변Any difficult activity that wouldn’t work with matchmaking would only have people whining for a difficulty nerf when they fail with a matchmade team. So far this week the GrandMaster ordeal has had 612 people complete it(as of me making this). A matchmade team would fail 99.99% of the time. Garden of Salvation has a 21% success rate as it is now. That would drop well below 1% with matchmaking. If something is obvious to not work, there’s no point in adding it.

2 답변작성자: Blaxsun 5/4/2020 4:47:32 PMFor everything but raids I’d tend to agree (they’re a special group of sensitive snowflakes). The LFG app is absolute sh*t, and it’s ridiculous I have to use my iPad to find players for things like public events.

작성자: SwankyButters 5/4/2020 10:00:46 AMI think I'm going to slowly back away from this game. I think I'll play a little more with my friend and his kid but that's about it. When they come out with their next DLC, I'm out. I can't do this anymore. This locked off content, I just can't.. Makes me want to scream, that is how annoyed I am with all this. I thought by this time they would have come to their senses but no. I mean, not even in D1 have they opened up match making. This tells you everything you need to know. They are never going to do it, ever. Well, I'll stop asking and then, I'll stop playing. I would love to say "Hey bungie, it was fun" but it wasn't. It was a drag and it didn't need to be. It had it's moments but none of them made up for the lack of match making... NONE OF IT. It will forever be a footnote. A "what might have been" had they kept the normal humans running the show, those who actually understand what fun is. I guess we'll never know.

1 답변They tried that with Guided Games and it’s still in BETA. It’s been like that for like 2 years. I think they’ve given up on that idea.

1 답변Omg. Do you not know like how awesome and like elite this game is for us that play whilst having totally fun engagement. You must be like totally not committed to achieving gold baboon status like the boss did in wow. You probably like a working class person or something. Bongo out.

6 답변작성자: Sonnabirk 4/29/2020 6:43:55 AMThis is also game breaking for me and one of the reasons why I also left. We live in 2020 and bungie can't even add matchmaking to live service game, that is just stupid especially for us console players. So... I play all my games on the console, but with Destiny I have to remove myself from console to go to the computer and then look for a fireteam, when I finally have found a fireteam 20 minutes later it is back to the console to invite players from that fireteam into a party on my console and then 40 minutes later start to play the activity that I want. Lol there's a reason why I chose to solo play Destiny 2. Lol thinking about it is just stupid, might be a reason why everyone likes the opulence activity lol. And seasonal content being made for fireteams just makes me drift away from the game even more. And btw, pvp should have been separated from pve years ago. If you separate pvp there is no reason why you shouldn't make everything in pve matchmade. If they also separated pvp you could do stuff within that genre, more than what we have now. You could add lots of modes, more than we have now.

작성자: Sweet Lew 88 5/2/2020 12:47:17 AMYes it would be easier to get a team together, but way more difficult to complete. When you find a premade team or make one, you can hand pick who you play with, make sure they have a mic, know what to do or full team of noobs if that's who you want to play with and have the right weapons. When you matchmake, you will play with the other people that don't want to find friends or lfg, the ones that can't beat forges or turn public events heroic, or know how to toss the ball around in the corrupted strike. What happens when someone leaves because of frustration or because someone is yelling at them or someone doesn't communicate because of no mic. Will the whole thing fall apart and start over again? Do they put everyone in orbit to find that 6th person again? Will all 6 people match made into a raid committed to playing for 6+ hours as people try to teach each other and watch videos because no one knows what to do? Will there be successes? Sure, but most of the time it would fail epically. I say bring it on so I can tell the complainers that they should find a team if they want better success. Just like I do when people complain about PvP, Gambit, strike, public event matchmaking.

Regardless how many times you put optional and can be turned on or off... still does not make this a good idea! And it still affects the whole player base regardless if we want it or not. While I agree the higher end strikes and quest strike stuff should be match made as well as ep/seraph towers... that is basically it. Raids (newest raids), trials and grandmaster nightfalls do not need match making! Reason this would still affect everyone is you're pulling dev's off other things to make and put the sustene in place for match making. It's also just down right a bad idea in that people would go into things under experiance looking for a carry... under skilled again looking for a carry or just down right to farm things. It would not go as well as some think. Although there may be good experiences I think they would be heavily out weighed by the bad ones.

2 답변작성자: Ricochet 049 5/4/2020 3:27:21 AMI like the idea. Especially the optional part. So say i wanted to raid with randoms I could. Or I want to solo the strikes playlist I can. Optional is the key part that nay sayers ignore

23 답변for years this has been a request. for years it has been explained to death of why it will not be implemented. yet still for years people pretend it's Bungie's fault they don't do an activity. week in and week out players complete nonmathmade activities, the only thing stopping you is you.

3 답변Why do people think raids are like strikes or story missions? Why do people think trials is like quickplay? Bro nobody, and I mean nobody talks in my team when I matchmake. What makes everyone think that will change if maatchmaking was available to these communication heavy activities? Garantee someone will leave the fireteam within the first few wipes of an encounter. Which will screw over the whole team

1 답변This same thread gets made every so often since D1 release. If we ain’t got it yet don’t hold your breath.

3 답변So even though you have 182 up votes, you're post is no longer on top... Well, seems like there's a reason for that, hummm, I wonder what it could be? Bungie loves to see stuff like this disappear ASAP.

3 답변작성자: Striker_R18 4/30/2020 10:09:30 PMI’m going to vote yes every time I see something like this, because this community needs to come together and make this a reality. This game needs more accessibility to all activities, more player choice. Bungie needs to adjust, when I sign into a game there is a 0% chance I want to spend any of my play time glued to my laptop screen sorting through a third party website just to get something like Towers, exotic quests, or trials done. Every real friend I have will never touch this game again (and I say again cause they’ve ALL played it) because it’s not MM accessible. F2P didn’t do a thing.
