I’m not going to target one country in specific because I know there’s a few groups in a lot of countries that are participating in it, but I think this is insanely dangerous and while trying to stop a very necessary lockdown is dumb enough; they’re becoming mass gatherings which means easy transfer of the virus and can cause the numbers to begin to rise again.
Do I understand why they’re protesting? Yes, as someone who’s considered a non essential worker, I get why they’re doing it. But that doesn’t excuse trying to get things back to normal before WHO or experts on the virus tell us that it can go back to normal.
That’s just my two cents, it’s subject to be wrong or disagreed with. What about you guys? Try to be respectful about it and not start flame wars, it’s just a thought provoking post wondering where a lot of users stand.

1 답변It's just shows that the world has lots of morons in it. Think about what they're protesting about....a virus. Some of the protesters have guns. What are they gonna do shoot the virus? Idiots all.

Everyone would like everything to get back to normal. I would like for everyone to still have all of their loved ones and friends still with us when we do get back to normal. I know these people are frustrated and want to get back to work, and I feel for everybody in this. There is no easy way back.

12 답변I genuinely believe that the people protesting think that what they are doing is the right thing, but the only reason they think they are right is because they lack understanding of science.
-
2 답변Personally I wouldn’t go out and do it. But those people have every right to do so as long as they’re being careful.

1 답변I kind of understand why some do it but it is also incredibly stupid and irrisponsible and selfish. A lot of people still don't seem to understand that is not about just their own health but about all of our health. You might not care if you get sick, but you most certainly will infect others. Then you have the idiots that seem to think it is all a ruse of the goverment and/or the cause of 5G. Sure buddy, the goverments all over the world risk economical crisis and shortages of goods just to keep you indoors and/or ptotect 5G. Those are idiots that should be locked up untill the crisis is resolved.

1 답변People will die either way. If the global economy isn't started again, we go into a depression and people can't work, and die. If people start working again, they'll die due to the virus. It's a sticky situation, and one that can't be solved easily. That in mind, protesting by mass gathering is stupid, going back to work with smaller groups of people is probably a good thing for the economy in general and doesn't cause too much risk. I think that's how people should protest if they feel they should (not advocating for it just my two cents).

1 답변작성자: Partisan 4/22/2020 2:32:37 PMIt is very noble and brave to want to prevent large-scale economic devastation at the mild cost of people dying more, but you could alternatively want to prevent large-scale economic devastation without the afterthought of people dying more, which also seems nice. But it turns out there are absolutely 100% definitely not any such solutions out there that our protestor heroes could champion, and so this is a very complicated and nuanced issue, phee-whewy what a toughie It's easy to be snarky about this stuff (see: me, all the time), but as stupid as it is to see TV hosts one-upping each other on the number of limbs they would sever to reopen the economy, the frustrating consequence is people believing you have to choose between jobs and human lives. But "the economy" is not a Lovecraftian horror that demands sacrifice at its altar, it's just like this thing that we can actually control, and what happens to it during a pandemic is our choice, not preordained judgment.

1 답변작성자: The Dragon 4/21/2020 7:48:18 PMThis is only a minor epidemic. There has been and surely will be worse outbreaks of disease. The Virus in question certainly has shaken and stirred up societies around the world in regards to strategies in how to manage these types of situations. However, as some in this thread have pointed out, there is more beyond the Coronavirus that should be concerning here. After all, there have been other leading causes of high death rates for decades that have only been dealt with relatively passively compared to those of this specific Virus strain. The deaths of CoViD is more tangible, and therefore seems most pressing. However, concerns that are more long-term, and therefore less tangible though just as important, if not more so, are economic stability and the livelihood of the majority, and the balance of power and authoritative reach a government has on its people. It is a complicated issue and balance with no pat answers or simple solutions.

I find it incredible that Americans who have excused police violence and aggression by those in charge deem responding to a health crisis to be authoritarian & crossing the line. Guess it’s just the natural result of people feeling empowered by their president to ignore science & shit on any effort to act based on science.

17 답변People have to make their own choices & live their own lives. You can make the choice to be as safe as possible or you can risk it all. I have seen the bs about this "pandemic" change numerous times. Once I am recovered from my injury, I will be back at work, whether I want to be or not & I can't wear a mask because it triggers my claustrophobia. I am not going to quit my job though, I have to risk it. So I will hope I can get hand sanitizer by then & if I can, I will be bathing in it pretty much. I watch people go to Walmart, put on gloves, buy their crap, come out, load their crap in the vehicle, then pull the gloves off. Your door handles are already coated & you just touched them bare handed, then touch your steering wheel, shifter, radio, cell phone, etc. You are not any safer. Stores are not taking any real action. Businesses are not taking any real actions. The whole purpose of this is to keep from flooding the hospitals, but the hospitals & doctors in my area are not even testing for it. So really, what good is getting online & getting upset & starting a fight do? Just vent & let it go.

27 답변... Honestly looking at Sweden, this may have been one of the biggest wastes ever, because as soon as we stop, it's gonna skyrocket again, if Sweden keeps doing as well as it is we're about to look like morons for the whole shutdown, but yeah, the people protesting aren't doing it right, if they wore masks and socially distanced it would be fine, and I'd have no problems with it, but they do have a point, this bs in New York about reporting people outside, or in Cali filling a skate park with sand, is stupid, or you know, stopping people from taking a drive, no reason other than to exert excessive power... TLDR: I don't necessarily have a problem with the quarantine but it might've been pointless, also the WHO and China are at fault for everything.
not included in the DLC
