There should obviously be rules and restrictions for how this is done.
I hope the devs will be seeing this.

1 답변작성자: Duardo 4/18/2020 5:38:00 AMI understand that this is frustrating for you, but it won’t be changed. We know cheaters suck, but posting names/videos on our forums of people who you think are cheating isn’t the correct place to post them because our Security Team hardly ever visits our forums, and our moderators aren’t equipped to handle them. For these reasons, posting suspected cheaters only creates witch hunts and does nothing to actually remove them from the game if they are found to be cheating. That’s why we created this Contact Form that our Security Team does monitor. If you want cheaters removed from the game, this form is how you do it.

7 답변I think that anybody who has absolute, undeniable proof should be able to post up the proof. Anybody that posts what they think is proof and it is found that the accused actually wasn't cheating... 1 week suspension from the game and 2 week suspension from the forums.
-
No, This will lead to a witch hunt. This forum (not all) has become a toxic cesspit of let us point the finger regardless. Bungie's Code of Conduct is in only the same as all other forums that do not allow naming and shaming. Naming and shaming if incorrect is Slander and Defamation of Character which is covered in law and is punishable both in the USA and the UK and I would think in all other countries as well.

17 답변This is an ignorant poll that is clearly biased as you are hoping everyone will agree with you. Doing this opens people up to “name and shaming” people that may not be cheaters based on them feeling like they should’ve won. It’s these false accusations that result in the name and shame policy. The security team is likely flooded with thousands of these “I got beat so he must be cheating!” Reports that they probably can’t get around to investigating ACTUAL blatant cheaters. Maybe people should stop reporting everyone for everything simply because they get outplayed or their internet is garbage, and maybe bungie can investigate the real cheaters.
-
Absolutely not. While I also cannot stand immature and unskilled people who cheat at games so they can feel special, this forum is already full of toxic spewing dicks who would witch hunt that person into oblivion. There needs to be an anonymous way to report someone for cheating WITH VIDEO PROOF that Bungie actually investigates and updates the reporter on, so long as they don't post their names on the forum or subreddit or wherever they might.

작성자: TheArtist 4/15/2020 3:03:19 PMNo. Because people have a tendency to want to find something to blame to soothe their hurt feelings and frustrations at not winning. Then throw in a little internet mob-mentality....and you have a recipie for disaster. Where someone gets wrongly blamed for cheating because someone who is a sore loser can't handle getting outplayed. Or can't tell the difference between hackers/lag switchers/Ddossing.....and what is simply a bad connection. Next thing you know that person is getting harrassed or (worse) getting SWAT-ted by some crazy person. The restriction is in the CoC for a reason. A good one.

2 답변The problem is defining what a cheater is... not with Bungie, but with the community. What a cheater is NOT: - Someone who just unstoppably killed you 10x. (More Skilled) - Someone who lives across the country or globe. (Latency... Bad matchmaking) - Someone who just happens to make me mad. (Rage) The problem in the Destiny franchise is the P2P connections that account for some portion of the "cheating" (e.g. players teleporting, players invincible, etc). If you take a simple example of two people, one in WA and one in FL, both on 1gb fiber from different ISPs, they can still have a bad experience because distance and the number of network hops, i.e. latency. I know first hand. When I lived on the Space Coast of FL, I used to have the best internet available at the time, but I'd still see a minimum of 95ms to anything on the West Coast. Tracing the route, my connection for FL to WA would route to Georgia, then up to Washington D.C, then to St Louis, then to Vegas and then to CA, before finally getting to Washington state. (I'm leaving out a good 15 more hops for some kind of brevity.) Each stop in the route adds to the latency. This is why CBMM is important. Point is... it's not always cheating when it looks like cheating. If the Code of Conduct changes, people would be accusing other people left and right. We need something better than what we have, but the suggestion to allow naming-and-shaming isn't it.

For some reason the thread disaapeared from trending when it was 1st page. But nevermind that. I just played 2h of iron banner and I could share quite a few clips of blatant cheating. Cheaters are running this place it seems.
-
They'll never do it with good reason, mistakes or witch hunts could possibly open them to litigation, maybe a list of partial names of the banned so the community can see results? Honestly don't see or expect any change from Bungie on this ever. I wouldn't trust a company with netcode this archaic not to make errors.

4 답변Voting no to this poll = protecting cheaters and defending Bungie's incompetence, even when every locked post on this thread about cheaters has VIDEO PROOF for all the kiddies crying about "ProOf? SouRce Bro?"

1 답변Yes and no Yes-because black ops 4 sub reddit allowed you post cheaters and hackers for them to get banned No-because it lead to a witch hunt since you couldn't really tell if its just lag or really good skill
-
2 답변I voted yes but would rather just have a pinned topic "Click here to report a cheater" that links you to their form thingy.
-
This won't do anything. Bungie doesn't care about us. they care about making the game "watchable" if you need to complain, complain on a youtube channel or twitch. I hate that that is more effective than being on Bungie's own forums, but at least the Ninjas aren't there!

Absolutely. To expand on this, posting a video by itself isn't naming. You're not naming anyone. You're just linking a video that happens to have their IDs in it. You didn't perform the act of "naming". THAT should be allowed.

15 답변작성자: Lull9 4/13/2020 9:30:52 PMIf someone has a video that shows suspicious behavior then it's not "naming and shaming." It's DOCUMENTING REALITY and FACTS. Yes. Also, Bungie should maintain a database of all banned cheaters (regardless of whether temp or permanent) that is publicly viewable.
-
4 답변One of the more relevant polls ever on the forum. Bungie scared about people being named but a more effective system has to be put in place. With bungie crutching on us the players to report suspected issues then they need allow video and captures to be posted, most after the fact reporting is too late.

2 답변The other day my internet turned off during a comp match and I tried to look one of the people up and realized that I couldn't find any info on the person for some reason. I got really pissed and told myself that after I went to the grocery store I was going to come back report someone for the first time ever. Then when I walked outside I saw that the cable company had three trucks out there and it was them who had turned my internet off. Naming and shaming should not be on the forum, there are enough people on here accusing other people of stuff without having any idea what they are talking about as it is. Plus, what does posting it on the forums really do anyways? Its not like its going to get them banned any faster.
-
yes and no, thats why i will not vote, many people will upload just part of videos not whole match and that can be manipulated, also this can turn into witch hunt, i also many times thought guy is cheater cos once he didnt lost his energe, but later i managed to kill him. with current state of game that could be hit not registering, could be lag, bug in game, and also cheating. only upload and naming should be only for things impossible like guy is self reviving himself, and we seen such stuff. still i think best solution will be close free destiny 2, make with guardian games 1 week where you can add destiny 2 to your library, and start playing any time, when is that gone, people will think twice about cheating, cos no more free game. then once per year let people get it for free again.

3 답변작성자: Sweet Lew 88 4/13/2020 8:52:26 PMIf anyone can be flamed. People could start calling Dalsheel a cheater. You could possibly be harassed by thousands of people for a false accusation, does that sound reasonable? Bungie will punish these people if they are discovered to be cheaters. Just report them and move on.
