I feel like they need to figure out how to get D2 in a good state before they even think about announcing d3 if they're already working on it (which I really don't think they are). If they were to announce a d3 today I absolutely would not think of buying it until I was certain that it was worth playing. Seeing as both D1 and D2 were thought to be pretty awful at launch (personally I loved D1 at launch despite how bare it was, I still really loved the game).

I hear they are going to bring out a new destiny controller. It’s going to have a credit card slot built in for your convenience. So next time you throw money at the screen you will also be throwing your controller.

If there was D3 which don’t think there will be. Would be interesting to see if the same people who are ripping Bungie apart on the forum will then go to play D3 , fully knowing what they went through with D1 and D3 .

2 답변As much as I would love to see Activision or Bethesda come and pick it up, Bungie has their claws into their baby, as its all they really have going for them, especially if their new IP tanks. Wishful thinking, but they probably won't do it unless they start making serious stacks with their new games, then I'm sure they'll "partner" with another studio who wants to help with Destiny, but will be the main shot caller and it'll still be Eververse first content second.

2 답변작성자: Dray 4/14/2020 4:18:48 PMWhy should we even bother with a 3rd iteration? Serious question. Look at live service games, how many actually work, and do they work? Destiny 2 for example, terrible launch, DLC were to be blunt a f*cking joke, the XP lies, people seem to have forgotten that little gem, Forsaken got it back on track, Shadowkeep was solid if a bit bland, story beats to dangle a carrot, but overall ok. Seasons, where do we start? This is a difficult one, it's subjective, what some will like others will dislike, me I'm on the fence I like the some of it, some of it ok and some I dislike, the whole powerful and pinnacle drops is a turn off, and grinding power levels to lose them is definitely a negative for me, making progress to have it taken away is a bit paradoxical to me in a game about power fantasy. Last two seasons have been poor, in my opinion. At the moment Destiny is in a bit of a mess, it's like it doesn't know what it wants to be, but what it can never be is all things to everyone so it needs a focus, can it be focused? Personally Bungie has a big problem, whilst the game numbers may be dropping they are healthy and there's a lot of studios out there would kill for Destiny 2's numbers, that said Netease is into them for 100M to make a game for the Asian market, this is their focus, it has to be, so even if they come in here telling us about how they have enough people working on Destiny the progress made so far, to me, is making liars of them, yes I do think their lying about how much effort they are putting into the game, this again is my opinion, based on the quality of output and the sheer amount of bugs, I played vanilla with 2.3k hours invested, over 3k with 2, I like this game, this franchise, even when it gets stale the game play always pulls me back, of late though it's becoming harder to enjoy, but with this in mind the bugs, oh dear god the bugs, it was never this bad not even close, broken exotics, glitches, and clipped add hunting is my favourite end game activity atm, it seems the game is getting away from them it's becoming to unwieldy and they are struggling to keep it all together, think a fat guy in a shirt that's just a bit too small, something has to give. That's just Destiny, look at the Division 2, a mess, 4 years of the original and they did a Destiny 2, the launch was positive, but that all changed once people started to hit the endgame, now it's a bit of a shit show. Also I'm going to bring up streamers or as the industry likes to cal them "influencers", tells you everything you need to know with that description right there, and what I see as the problem with them, firstly I'm not anti streamer, I watch some them but not a massive viewer if I'm honest but I will watch some and there is some good content out there created with a good intent, but ultimately I believe that too much influence comes from them, intentional or accidental, as I've pointed out in other posts they are catered to way too much with regards to money invested in flying them out for exclusive play time and previews of up coming content, money I believe could be better spent investing in the game directly through development and testing, once again an opinion but too many streamers are happy enough to fuel the hype train, which publishers have learnt is a great way to push a title, over what might be money and time better spent on the actual game. Anthem, less said about that the better, but a lot of big Destiny streamers were all over that, EA game changers, you know who you are. Also with streamers you have to remember, in some cases it's their job, and when it comes to the crunch, you do not bite the hand that feeds you, when you have to pay the bills all bets are off, I'm not judging, I would do the same in their position, either way, this is something that has to change, genuinely good content creators will be fine only the dross will die off which is no bad thing, the TWAB and the now infamous "watchable" bollocks was a stand out for me and a lot of the community, for me streamers, influencers, call them what you will have led to a check box mentality for publishers with regard to whats good for hyping a game over whats good for the game. TLDR Netease 100M is probably the reason Destiny is in the spot it's in, it has to be their focus, you don't take a big investment and then go back to what you were doing, unless you're Randy Pitchford of course. (allegedly) Streamers by accident or design are way to influential for the wrong reasons. Live service games may not work, we as players are like locusts on crops when it comes to consuming content and it is a nigh on impossible task to feed that beast, the current state of gaming in this regard seems to indicate that.

People with fire in their belly don't want someone else's franchise. Especially when it drastically needs a new engine. They have their own dreams. They want to make their own game. People who take over 6 year old games generally tend to be hacks working for a paycheck. No, Destiny is Bungie's child and they're the only ones who might care enough to fix it.

23 답변Pass it on to Sony It could be the PS5 exclusive for a while (next gen reboot with a release on Xbox Series X & PC) looter FPS shooter (with some light MMORPG elements) Sci-Fi to rival Halo Naughty Dog overseeing the Quality, Story arc It could & should be epic Dedicated top end servers (on PS5 at least - Steam & Xbox Live can pay for their side) for both PvP & PvE (with separate stats & maybe even standalone DLC’s for both - which will still interact with either side of the game) Hand it over QC to Naughty Dog, hire a top quality team, game director, bring in Joe & Marty, (let’s not forget Dave) & let folk like Byf/Myellin “consult” & delve into the lore, find some amazing backstory ideas, iconic characters, multi threaded Campaign, Hire the Bungie Gunplay & Art/Audio teams (lose ALL those in HQ/Management), & maybe Chris Barrett Lift the content, make it a damn sight more threatening, pre/post apocalyptic, fill the enemy to create immersion & Tactics/AI that can truly push the Guardian (not just bullet sponges/silly mechanics) - differentiating enemy types, styles, tactics Cut back on Eververse (make that type of loot into rewards) ....if the game is fun, immersive, slightly addictive & made with passion, a detailed eye by a team that truly gives a shit, then it will always make money! D1 started off being a great idea, with some fabulous story, lore, premise - that was killed by a greedy HQ at Bungie seeing 💵💵💵 & Activision’s insistence in carving it up into DLC’s Then fast forward to the release of D2 Vanilla, the push the reboot with Forsaken, the loss of good staff Now we’re here D2Y3 is just a disaster!

What they actually need to do is team up with a larger developer with clout. Someone who's games are virtually cheater free bc they actually care about their PVP community. Someone that can help make a version of the crucible actually competitive. Someone they can benchmark with and that will MAKE THEM DO BENCHMARKING ACTIVITIES (bc it sure as hell doesn't seem like they do any.. .)

As someone who actually quite enjoyed Halo 4 and 5 I nonetheless have to point out that they were quite widely hated, Halo 5 was pretty void of content for at least it's first year, never had much replayable pve anyway and MCC? I do not think I have ever felt so ripped off as I felt when MCC was released with utterly broken matchmaking and wasn't fixed at all for many months. 343 are not a good precedent for suggesting what you're suggesting, I'm afraid.
