Trials isn’t Fun for the Majority of Players
With out the majority of players participating, the mode will wither and die.
Forbes even wrote about it and articulates the situation very well.

I've actually found more fun in regular crucible and Iron Banner during Trials. You guys drag all the sweatlords and tryhards with you into that arena so we can actually get away with oddball/goofy loadouts. So I thank you all for your sacrifice!

10 답변It's NOT supposed to be. It's the PVP endgame. Made for ambitious PvP players. Just like raids not everyone is entitled to EVERYTHING! That's what players need to realize. I freakin hate PvE especially raids (who really enjoys learning a choreography?) so I will never be able to get the loot. I am willing to accept that. I would never whine about not having access to the gear attached to that "hell" and demand it by changing the "rules/mechanics".

Haha haha. Trials is already dead because of the minority who play it. It will die just like it did in destiny 1. But much like destiny 1 it will be the reason why many weapons and abilities get nerfed and screwed over. Much like all the other pvp experiences. Pvp is what is,was,will,and has been killing this game since it’s offset. I also called that trials coming back is going to be the nail in the coffin that puts this game in the grave. I have half stopped playing destiny 2 for the time being. Finding more enjoyment of modding my Skyrim game on my new pc. Might come back to this game when the season days hit about 50 days left to grind through the season pass crap. If bungie had or has any integrity left they would award trials of the nine armor and weapons along with trials of osiris armor and weapons for those who didn’t play it or didn’t get to play it because they know the bullshit cancer that is destiny pvp. An I do mean for everyone who has three character that may or may not differ on character classes.

8 답변While I agree that this particular iteration isn't very good, I still just think of what Bungie designed the game mode for, and it sure as hell isn't the majority. That's literally the whole point of the game mode. I got my carry week one, and will run casually for a bit while the boys are still around, other than that, I won't be in there much as it isn't a place for me. Honestly I'm over trials not being for the majority. I was over it the first week it was available in D1. The only thing that really bothers me about it, is that once again, the entire game is going to suffer because of trials and its particular... "Balances".

1 답변Paul Tassi writes about Destiny all the time for Forbes, so an article appearing there is not in itself news. What is unusual is that even when Tassi is supposedly being critical of Destiny he still largely loves the game. This is about as strong an article from him as you will read in that regard.

Unpopular opinion. Trials shouldn't have came back. Not because the norm of what's been said about it, but because just trials by itself the small team that has control is in way over their head. I'm not a trials player but I don't need to be to see how frustrating this could be for some. I believe this was a last hope to try and boost up the player count for this season. It might have for pvp but at what cost?

13 답변Why do u wan the same reward for doing less? Cant win 3? no reward. Cant go flawless? no reward. Why do everyone want participation trophy so much? You should aim to win. that's the point of the mode. Instead of asking why am i so bad, they ask why am i not rewarded for being bad? "I can hold my own" Dude you cant even get 3 win, so you clearly can't.

I know it goes against the whole sweaty ToO... thing, but it truly needs a freelance option for it to succeed, at least to succeed among a large number of players. This mode has always been a suck on the game and it continues to be that with this version. I won’t touch it, haven’t, and have no plans of doing so because it’s not fun, and I refuse to play a mode that caters to the sweaty neck beard basement dwellers exclusively. Also, what’s with Everworse selling ToO themed stuff? What a joke.

16 답변Trials isn't meant for the majority of players. this has been known, or so i thought, since it came out in D1. its the PvP equivalent of a raid. its endgame for PvP. since only around 5% of players do the raids, its safe to assume only around 5% of players will play and enjoy Trials.

If trials isn't doing good right now. It's cause there is really no incentive to play it. It's all D1 loadout. There is nothing special about the lighthouse and the armor/weapons aren't that good. If you are a collector and just want to collect the stuff out of sheer boredom. Than it is something to play. But this whole season/trials is pretty pointless. It's something. But nothing worth writing home about. For me, I am happy trials came back. It gives the game a very minor reason to play and trials can be intense at times. It for sure plays out better than D1, the lag isn't as bad. But there is still some cheating ass people on this game that need a ban.

Yeah. "Git gud" us an appropriate response when you are not succeeding in a very low teir of competitive. Trials is meant to be the very difficult PvP activity for players. That's how it was designed. The only thing rhing wrong is the lack of incentive to go flawless. But if you are struggling, that's on you. You should practice and get better, and if you aren't willing to, either stay out of trials or play and accept it.

Pretty much agree with the article. Would take a minor miracle for me to ever go flawless, but I’d expect to get to 3 wins maybe even 5 on a good day. I was utterly schooled on the Anomaly and came out with nothing other than wasted time. I didn’t play trials this weekend. (Also aren’t the rewards at 3/5/7 wins still broken?) I would like the hunter gear, it’s one of the only nice sets in the game, but unless Bungie introduce random drops after games, or tie loot to weekly bounties, I’m not going to play trials again

Trials is only fun for those who actually have a clan or friends to play with regularly. Trying to play trials as a solo player is hard. Even if you lfg it people only want others who have already been flawless and are willing to sweat the hell out of it

Most and even those who enjoy crucible never even bothered day one as they remembered what it was and likely would still be. Then those piles of newer players that went in to be cannon fodder realized that was their role to play in the first couple of weeks and now it is where it will stay with the sweaty fighting for upgrade materials.

My opinion, I don’t enjoy crushing hopeless teams and I don’t enjoy playing the people that crush me. Trials is the best mode in the game when it is an even (skill wise) series of matches. Second the amount of recoveries and network manipulation is appalling on Xbox. I won’t name and shame but feel free to look at my Xbox clips if you wanna see some ridiculous and blatant cheaters. Yes it is cheating when you are up 3-0 and all of a sudden 1 player on the other team becomes like fighting neo in The matrix.
