At least for that week. If a player went flawless that week, then they should only go against other players who’ve been that week also.

1 답변But then trials wouldn't be such a toxic cess pool. Heck they have a toxic emblem that ticks up every time someone deliberately stops a flawless run out of spite. This whole atmosphere of toxic gameplay is deliberately designed that way by Luke Smith himself.

6 답변I cannot agree more. And I cannot stress enough how much Bungo will never agree to this. Who's Gernader Jim going to farm if they change it?!

3 답변They won't do that. A ton of people asked them for the past two years to do that if they bring trials back. Instead, bungie made an emblem that says "hey, i'm trying to stop you from winning". Bungie is so disconnected from it's player base.. Wish everyone would stop playing the game, even for a week so they'll take note. But there are enough idiots that enjoy the suck, they stick around and support it.

8 답변작성자: BraddyBo 3/20/2020 7:06:41 PMThat would make the lighthouse a joke lol. But i agree that a character should be locked to “flawless” matchmaking after going flawless within any given weekend (max of 1 normal run per character per weekend). People that go flawless 25+ times per week just kills trials for everybody.

2 답변
At least for that week. If a player went flawless that week, then they should only go against other players who’ve been that week also.
Agree. This would make the playlist more enjoyable for the average player to spend time in. You will get a lot of push back from players who are high end/ streamers / account recovery sellers. They should have to play each other after going flawless for the week. They don’t want that, they want easy wins so they can make money for playing the game against players they shouldn’t be matched against.

I don’t expect to go flawless every week (I’m not that good), but I do expect to get to like 3 wins OCCASIONALLY. I went flawless 100+ times year one. I can barely get to 3 wins now. Granted, my skill has sharply declined as I quit playing for a while - but my point is I feel as though I’m constantly getting matched against elites, either that or my skill has declined more than I thought ha.

2 답변You just gotta keep playing until you rng 7 teams of potatoes lol. I was doing win 1 lose 1 all morning Cuz I was getting 2 unbroken player teams non stop at 0 wins lol.

Speaking purely as a software solutions architect, if they want Trials to be more than a temporary novelty, they need to draw and keep average players. If that’s not going to involve balancing matchmaking, then the bounties need to be participation-based and reward desirable loot. Without rewards, most of the population will choose to spend their time elsewhere, at which point the mode dies because the low population causes A) longer matchmaking times and B) 100% of matches being “sweaty” for even the PVP streamers, so even they stop enjoying it. I think Trials has a lot of value if you can keep the content creators happy and give the PVP pros their feeling of achievement and validation. Were this one of my software products the compromise I’d choose is the participation-based loot, coupled with an extra “last man standing” perk or some such for Flawless-only armor. In that way more average players will stick around and take their licks while also providing an extra reason for the top players to complete their runs rather than reset early.

1 답변작성자: Jeidd 3/22/2020 6:47:42 PMWho else thinks that the magic of trials is kinda gone because I remember in d1 there was always hype for it even for players who weren’t good in pvp is it because adepts are gone? Is it because you can’t get random armor or guns after winning or losing a Trials match is it just me or does anyone agree?

Luke Smith was a WoW guy, but evidently he hasn’t bothered to learn anything from Blizz in terms of the benefits of getting more people to play your game mode instead of less. You make tiers and create mechanisms for people to play in their appropriate tier. Who complains about this? The elitists whose opinions should have absolutely no bearing whatsoever on your business decisions anyway. These folks are addicted to failure.

1 답변Bungie loves having a toxic video game of players constantly at each other throats. It’s gets them off.

1 답변Wouldn’t really help. A lot of people do account recoveries after they get their own flawless. So you’d still be facing them anyway.

6 답변This is how you make everyone happy and fair. You create trials legend and trials heroic. Each week we are in trials heroic. If you go flawless and get trials flawless legend emblem you are moved to trials heroic for that weekend. In legend the weapons only get the trials perk if you go flawless. The guns are shaded gold. When playing in the heroic version, all weapons have the trials perk and are shaded black. If you go flawless in heroic, the weapon will have additional perk options in column 3 &4 with the trials perk. The heroic weapon will also be shaded platinum. Now people will say not enough players, that is bull. Why? If casual players know the can get three wins without facing top players all weekend, more will play. In this system, to go heroic flawless, everyteam or player you meet must be flawless. Now we actually have an elite flawless trophy. Your are not elite if you win two or three games facing non elite or non flawless players. This is fair and balanced.
