This season is going to be a very strange season. The auto rifles are not taking over the crucible and it is looking really grim. Loading up into any crucible playlist was already a headache due to the fusions being overpowered with backup plans and mapping players across the map. It was such a carry weapon and anyone could easily pick up the weapon and do good with it, no real time at all. Now being in crucible I have a issue, not a auto rifle is OP issue but the fact that the weapons I took hours to grind, hours to get the perfect roll, grinded to 5500 to get my Lunas and NF is now being beaten by a weapon be given away for free with twitch prime.
I don’t understand the sandbox, I don’t know who is coming up with these ideas but they need to stop. We’ve seen the Bungie streams and we know they do not play crucible or pve a lot either. I have been 5500 over 20+ times last season alone on different accounts that I personally made 100% Solo Queuing because I wanted to understand how matchmaking works but in my understanding with sandbox changes, Bungie is giving casuals a better way to keep up in PvP. I do agree that casuals do need a way to keep up because not everyone has the time to grind or just aren’t into the game that deep to do what a small fraction of Destiny players actually do. I do believe in SBMM and casuals shouldn’t be hard stomped because good players wanna have a good time, but what I don’t understand is why am I being punished for being good at the game?
Let me further explain without me sounding like a true PvP elitist. The recent changes to PvP made a lot of players weapons they grinded for obsolete. Having 3 players shooting me with a Hardlight is an extremely hard counter unless you counter back, that was also a thing I had to deal with in the fusion meta as well. There is only so much you can do against a weapon that shoots 600RPM and does double damage off ricocheted. Now I get PvP is perfect but with this game, it is very hard to get an understanding of what this is really is. It lacks personality and with D1 we all knew the game was broken but you felt that you could use anything and do damage but with this game it feels as if you either use this or lose with this current meta. Any other wanna top player percentiles want to chime into this conversation?

작성자: ZayOsiris Gaming 3/14/2020 7:44:23 PMThese weapons became a problem because not everyone “earned” these weapons, for one. Two, they shifted the sandbox towards a very toxic play style in almost every game type. Why use an auto rifle or Sidearm when my Not Forgotten & dust rock will blow out any team? “Hey kid, wanna pay me to carry you through comp? Only 499$ for your mountaintop, recluse, & other pinnacle Weapons.” The whole thing about having desirable weapons shouldn’t be because the perks make them busted. They should be chased because they’re unique & strong for the right type of player. A good example would be Trinity Ghoul. It’s strong under the right circumstances. But on average; it’s no more powerful than a normal bow. Personally I would’ve made LH & NF only gain their substantial damage bonus when an ally dies near you, for about 6-8 seconds. Turning your 180 HC from a 4 tap to a 3 tap. While also making NF an Ornament for LH, instead of an entirely different gun.

You people have had plenty of time with Lunas and NF. Just because it took you a while to earn these weapons doesn’t mean that you didn’t have plenty of time to dominate with both weapons. It must be such a sin for anything else to dominate or at least compete. Suros and Hardlight are both exotics and exotics should have a special place within the game and that special place isn’t the vault. Both have been absolutely useless in PvP for such a long time. No issues whatsoever until hand cannons have competition 🙄

작성자: Artisan 3/13/2020 6:14:36 PMFusions were never remotely as much a problem as no-skill Shotguns. But they listened only to those (shotgunners) whining about them and now they're demolished Shotguns eith little more than a 1m tickling are set to increase on their existing overuse. - The destruction of nearly all Pinnacles is a terrible move in that it destroys the trust that things earned will retain value. Non infusible loot will take that to whole new levels - I'll pass on this game at that point (after THOUSANDS of ACTIVE HOURS). - Meta change is somewhat different. Some players are excellent only at one type of play: hand cannons with melee and shotguns, typically on Hunter but also Titan, being the absolute meta. That doesn't mean those players are necessarily the 'best' players at all rather that meta-game advantage privileges that particular gameplay type. So a change here is no bad thing at all.

2 답변PVP should never have had custom weapon load-outs, and should have forced you to fight other players with the exact same weapons, and stats.

2 답변Mhm. More evidence that PvP definitely ain’t perfect and should never have been in this franchise ever! Man, I can’t wait until Trials! I’m practically gonna SEE the bloodstains on these forums!

1 답변I'm nowhere near the top 1%, but I agree. Other primaries need to be brought up to compete in the meta, specifically 140 and 110 rpm HC and pretty much all the slower firing scout rifles. SMGs could use a little love too. I don't really know where they fit in this game. Side arms, the Randy's archetypes, and 150 RPM HCs are great right now.

2 답변Are you talking about all the weapons that are running about destroying you with team-fire or something? The issue with that is pretty obvious and has been a thing for a while. For starters, exotics. Encountering exotics is not that rare in this game compared to Destiny 1. People use them more because they usually offer something extra that legendaries don't and balance is much more finicky in this game than it was in Destiny 1, so that makes them see even more use. Specific ones tend to be used more because sandbox changes can make them very strong choices like Ace of Spades and Telesto in their primes. Right? Now ever since the nerfs to things like Last Word, shotguns and fusions, a lot of players are spending more time with their teammates teamshooting than ape-ing with one of those weapons because their easy-kill options have become less reliable and it takes more planning to engage enemies than shoot-once-and-kill. And because auto rifles like Hardlight (being commonly favored as an exotic with its advantages) are strong now with players wanting to teamshoot more, you're seeing these weapons running around and stomping in groups. This hardly has anything to do with the Twitch Prime rewards. So many players that have been playing for a while have owned these weapons for a while and simply just pull them out of their Collections if they need to. This is a common thing with sandbox changes and all you can do is adapt. Something becomes stronger and something else feels weaker. Easy options get pulled out and things get vaulted. Always happens.

6 답변The meta change doesn’t have anything to do with casual players or skill. Skilled players can see a new meta and adapt their play to succeed in it. Casual players who are not skilled will not be able to succeed against skilled players. If you’re a 1% player you will stay one by not letting people spray your head with a bullet hose. That’s the only way ARs can have a lower TTK than burst weapons which can be used to peak shot.

3 답변We got someone here clearly but not in as many words admitting to doing recoveries lol. 🤨

9 답변Appreciate that you soloed that does take skill. However many people always play on a team that puts them at a huge advantage. Do agree that autos as they are know really takes the skill away from aim and positioning. Maps are too small and ttk is too quick .
