What is there to address at this point. He said it’s something that they’re going to bring in for the future and when they have more details they’d let us know. I’m guessing they may retire some weapons in September but who’s to tell.

And the game is getting way OP, and bungie can't release good content if all the other old content overshadows it. Last season we got a BUNCH of weapons with Feeding Frenzie/MKC, and they were easy easy godroll farms, and they are going to make all other guns look like trash for a long time. They also can't keep dumping resources into balancing this game if it keeps getting exponentially harder to balance. If they don't retire guns, then they're going to have to keep nerfing and buffing things to help balance. I'd much rather they put their resources into make interesting seasons than worrying about how the new gear is going to synergize with gear from 2 years ago and break the game.

37 답변
we dont want weapon retirement still
*some dont want weapon reitirement* There are some that have looked at the logic behind it and accept it. More and more by the day are realizing weapon retirement is necessary if we want changes to the overall game state. Unless weapon retirement is brought it, end game gear will forever be worthless and hurt end game activities.

1 답변Dude theyre gonna retire weapons just so they can sell them back to you for 10 bucks in a years time. All wrapped up in a bow labelled new content in the season of the dumb -blam!-, cant believe youre still buying this shit from us. Scheduled for fall 2021

1 답변That’s because Bungie is going to do it wether we want it or not. Once the great glorified blogger, Luke -blam!-ing Smith, has one of his brilliant ideas, it doesn’t matter what the community wants.

19 답변I thought it was obvious that bungie has made up their mind? The only way this will change, is when the playerbase tanks after it is implemented.
-
3 답변Because it was brought up as something theoretical that might happen in year four or beyond. Idk how people got “weapon retirement s definitely happening and it’s happening soon” from that director’s cut

It's still at least 9 months from now. That's a very long time with plenty of TWABs left to go through. You probably shouldn't expect them to bring it up every single time a new one comes out. If they have something to say about it like a news update or something, they'll let everyone know. I'm just saying that based on the title of your post. If you want to keep this topic trending, that's understandable. I still think it's going to happen based on a lot of things, but we could all be proven wrong still.

29 답변They aren’t going to back down on that, so you’re just setting yourself up for disappointment. They’ve tried everything else over the last four years and it hasn’t worked. They finally accepted that they have to do this for the game to survive.

4 답변Whats funny is if you hover over the infuse button on any legendary weapon even the stuff that is new this season it says the max light level it can be infused is 1010, but if you hover over exotic weapon infuse button it does not have that text (because they said exotic's would be free of retirement). This makes me think that everything we have this season will end this season at a max of 1010.... maybe im wrong but it just seems weird that the wording is different on legendary and exotics.

2 답변I don't like the idea but they're clearly going to do it, so what should they say? "Yeah we're still doing that."

2 답변작성자: Cheesy_Quesadila 3/13/2020 7:07:55 PMPeople arguing for this retirement to be implemented is because of limited options? So you want it to be even more limited? I'm confused about this reasoning... maybe if they retired weapons during a big expansion to introduce more options like the taken king expansion then it makes sense?
