Trials of Osiris will have power enabled and artifact power will affect all activities. We are aware of the concerns around this and will be keeping a close eye on player data and feedback when the season begins.
Feel free to share your thoughts on this and if you think we should make any changes in the future.

There needs to be a power cap of some kind if you're gonna keep artifact levels enabled. Otherwise you just get players trying to crutch on higher power levels to make it easier for them to survive being outplayed. Can't say much about the mods since I don't know what next season's artifact mods will bring.

작성자: Backdoor Hunter 2/27/2020 1:39:30 AMI'm 990 and hate PVP with a passion and still get my rear end handed to me in iron banner, by people who are 20 light levels below me. So no idea why people are making such a big deal of an infinite LL advantage. You're throwing your toys out of the pram over an extra hand cannon bullet....

This doesn't work because no lifers will have an extreme advantage over people who have a job or go to school. They said themselves they want to make trials fair but then they have power enabled. If it's a gamemode that's about skill then power should not be enabled, or at least the artifact.

Skill? With jotunn, arbalest, ez mode snipers, mindbenders, coil, spare rations, etc, etc??? Better teams will still be winning. Maybe 9% of community, likely less will go flawless legit. And they will do it on how good they are with or without PL, because frostbolt is better even down 30 PL.

작성자: thatdudeEd54 2/27/2020 1:31:00 AMPlease here us out. Disable the artifact for Trials. Litterally this will kill the Trials experience when it goes live and its still active. Im pretty sure by the second or third week, It will then become a game of who can grind out the most xp within a week to have an advantage against other players. Max power cap should be what our armor can get to as high as it can. That means if we were to trully want an advantage early. We would have to grind out any pinnacle sources available to us first before entering trials, and then trials itself would drop pinnacle powered gear by finishing gold bounties and going flawless. Thats how it was back then, and we all accepted that. We cannot rely on the artifact for hand holding in trials, it will simply break the mode.

Please create a poll to see who wants power enabled trials or no power cap. Post it to the forum and reddit. Make it an official Bungie post. I will delete my account if 90% of the community doesn't vote to NO power enabled trials.

Allowing the artifact to grant an unlimited power cap in LL enabled PVP is a mistake. This makes the ability to succeed in Trials entirely dependent on constant, extensive, repetitive grinding of unrelated activities for the entirety of a season. If one of the stated goals of Bungie is to not have to exhaust your staff in order to deliver the game, that same expectation should be afforded the players. An unlimited power cap artifact means any player who takes a week or two off from the game will never close the gap on others who choose not take such breaks. This will only push the casual player and the high skill but time limited player away from even attempting trials the moment they fail to keep pace with the ever increasing cap. If the artifact must be enabled with LL, it has to have a pvp cap. The community also needs to be given a revised power scaling chart if this one is no longer accurate - https://twitter.com/_mantis_/status/1045757634425409536 Personally, I believe LL enabling should be a part of end-game activity, but it must be reasonable. Having a hard cap then a pinnacle cap of no more than 10-15 levels to me is a worthy reward for players engaging in WORTHWHILE activities and should provide a small advantage. Myself and many in my clan are far more likely to want to run raids and dungeons to gain pinnacle gear in order to play trials than to log in and rinse/repeat lost sectors.

It's a pinnacle pvp activity, there shouldn't be any handholding to make sure everyone gets to the lighthouse. I see what the thought process is in trying to give more opportunity to those that aren't as skilled but still play the game tons but if I get to the lighthouse I want it to be because I outplayed a really good team with my skill not my power level. It diminishes the accomplishment if the only reason I got there is because im 20 levels higher than the other team.
