I get that its supposed to be a sweat fest. but the average player, 970/980 will have no chance. There's a reason a ton of people won't even touch Iron Banner. They'd get destroyed even with good skill. Some people have work and life to think about, and can't get on to grind to 990+. It becomes a power level contest, who-grinded-more event. It REMOVES skillful play. If you really care about an experience that is as fair and balanced as possible, disable power bonuses for the game mode. Please see this, Bungie.

2 답변The level advantage isnt that great. The last two Iron Banners I have played at over 1,000 light. Over xmas I played when I was literally 40 levels above some of the players. I still wasnt able to two tap or anything like that. I would see maybe, at best, a 3 or 4 point difference in my damage numbers. The only noticeable difference that I experience is that I can tank a titan shoulder charge (if he is running arc - solar will still burn me out).

1 답변The shoud remove light level advantages, but have a light level entry requirement. i dont want cheaters and DDosers flooding trial on burner accounts on very low light levels of 62.

5 답변I saw a play with 1005 power in Iron Banner end up last in the lobby with a .29 efficiency. I played at about 974 and finished the week of banner at around a 1.8 k/d and 2.3 efficiency. Power level doesn't always equal an advantage. Just saying.

1 답변Wah.... I’m 47, 2 kids and a real job.... my artifact is plus 21 this season.... grind you baby... I’m assuming these posts are all high school kids who can’t play until after school and have to goto bed early..

3 답변Trials has always had power advantages....which is a damn good thing as it prevents smurfing to boost players. Plus it’s not like the power difference will be that big, you’ll only really notice when you’re at least 10 light lower, and that’s not too big a difference. Trials is an endgame activity...it should be treated as such

I tend to doubt they will change their mind trials forces pvp players into pve content which extends their play time and overall hurts the casual player that enjoys playing other games or having a life outside of destiny.

I agree 100% reward players for having actual skill not for grinding, some of us have real lives, jobs, wives, kids, I feel I am a fairly above average pvp player and I prefer playing pvp over pve I don’t want to grind out bounties I want to play pvp and have fun.

So any cheaters who get banned can just create a new account and hop right back in cause power level doesn’t matter. Ya gotta have power enabled and it needs to be behind a paywall. Hell there should also be a very lengthy quest just to access trials. Or we could just tell everyone to behave and not cheat ... cause yeah that will work right? Smh

Agreed, maybe the answer is to remove the artifact for trials. Who knows maybe they have this planned already. Or maybe they have a power level cap that anything above won't make a difference. Or they should. Honestly I would think that they have internally discussed this to some degree.
