Now that snipers have been nerfed, how are players supposed to use alternative high burst dps weapons, shotguns for example, if the boss stomps every time you get close?
Sure you can melee to cancel the push back but not the damage, which is huge, and it needs impeccable timing.
Getting close to any high level enemy is almost guaranteed death, which is why players use snipers. Boss stomp is not the only issue, in general close combat for high end activities is next to impossible and should also be addressed.

A steaming flood of vile ogre puke.. Eye blast can remain. Taken bosses: stomp animation but an enveloping cloud that acts like the taken blast from knights. Effect and radius increases the longer you are in it. Add Slowed debuff for more difficult content. [b]Strike Specific[/b] Servitor: do exactly what it does when it opens. Burning, blinding, etc.. Brakion: circuitry stems from his feet and envelopes the floor around you. Syarts blue, glows red when youre stuck. And you do get stuck. Teammate has to shoot you out of it. Does damage, etc... Protheon: same as brakion Thaviks: if you're there in close proximity too long he stabs you with a blade causing paralysis and electric shock similar to the shanks, but this also causes the floor to become engulfed in annoying electric crap that ticks damage if you dont shoot off Thaviks' dagger. Bracus Zahn: one of the most annoying stompers in the game. Have him just start releasing warhounds that have a venomous bit and cause a small amount of paralysis so team has to focus on them. Upscale damage at higher difficulties. Grask: honestly Id be ok with swapping the stomp mechanic for a devastating shield bash. That would make sense. Tree of Probabilities guy...: have him grab and lift you up into the air choking the life out of you. Team has to shoot his arm to put you down. Causes all of the above. Nokris: one of my favorite strikes... He already has a 'summon' kind of thing where enemies rise from the flames. Have him create a similar effect maybe a ribg of fire that closes in on anyone standing beneath or close to him. Thrall continuously crawl out of the fire.. Maybe add 'searing heat' as a damage modifier for difficult stuff. Insight Terminus Yuge Psion: OBVIOUSLY give him Mind Control. Maybe even the longer youre in close proximity, the less control you have over your Guardian. Maybe your Guardian shutters, turns, and begins to shoot or use abilities on fireteam members..that's a stretch. Maybe something as simple as picking you up and trapping you in a stas1s cube etc.. Scarlet Keep Wizard: easy..green symbol thing with flames and does all of the above damage things..

WHO NEEDS A SUNDIAL WHEN OUR NUTS CAN JUAT SWING US ACROSS SPACE AND TIME.!? WHO NEEDS THE VEX WHEN OUR NUTS ARE THE VEX!? This conversation totally changed into something I did not intend.

3 답변I understand why the mechanic is there. And it really doesn’t bother me [i]that[/i] it exists. What does bother me is when its given to enemies that don’t make sense... like, captains, colossuses and hydras for example. Shoot, even some of the minotaurs have them. Like, how can an enemy, that’s barely bigger/taller than we are, create a shockwave that powerful? Makes no sense. And I won’t even begin to understand how servitors used to do it in D1 .-.

5 답변Bosses don’t stomp immediately. Get in, pump a few shotgun rounds and dip out again. Do you seriously think it’s a good idea to have to deterrent to melting bosses with shotguns and swords? Not a condescending comment but with all honesty. Bosses are already getting wiped hard with literally everything else.

It just makes sense that a boss will get you the -blam!- away if you're trying to crawl up its ass. What would it do instead, try to no-scope you?

4 답변Are there any bosses that don't have the bump mechanic I mean seriously how many times has Bungie going to dip from that well. And then now they're wanting to to start using swords what that's a joke. You're going to Nerf all the range weapons and then tell us we need to go in close to get damaged on the boss with swords but every time we do we get bumped off the map stupid really stupid.

4 답변The sorry thing is that not even guarding with Sentinel Shield blocks it. But there is one saving grace that only Titans can use. Stronghold. Not only can you negate the knockback, but you can actually make it heal you. Doesn't that sound fun? Well... it doesn't. Too niche.

4 답변Uhhh..... How about that new sword change? I use stronghold with a throne cleaver and counter attack. It completely negates knockback, and I’ve been doing it since the stronghold was released. I don’t think they need to take away a game mechanic just because YOU haven’t found a way to mitigate it.
