It’s really fun! If I remember, he has a double jump that acts as a screen wipe, in addition to just being faster & invincible.

Nice. But I just thought of something. You think Metal sonic should have won in Heroes? It’s random I know, but look at him. He becomes a literal -blam-ing dragon. I feel like it should have taken at least Hyper sonic to defeat him.

There’s still Chaos. Sonic beat Chaos solo. And while Chip helped out a lot during the first phase before Sonic went super, after going super Sonic did most of the work. Not to mention Devil Doom. Sure, Shadow took care of this one, but it was still a representation of the Chaos Emeralds’ power, and Devil Doom was pretty flippin’ scary.

Chaos wasn’t just the protector of the Chao, he’s also the protector of both the Chaos & Master Emeralds (and most likely the Super Emeralds, too). I’d say that puts him pretty high on the power scale. The power difference between Super Sonic and Super Shadow is relatively small. Not enough to make a difference in most fights.

He does. But the Chaos Emeralds provide so much raw power that you don’t really need to be in control of them. Shadow has a couple extra abilities, but not enough to really make a difference. Knuckles is the guardian of the Master Emerald, but he wasn’t always. Chaos was the original guardian, then the echidnas tried to take the power of the Emeralds for themselves. Chaos responded by basically wiping out their civilization, but a few of them were saved when Tikal sealed both herself and Chaos within the Master Emerald. Probably realizing that if he ever got out, Chaos would very likely kill them all, they took it upon themselves to protect the Master Emerald. Knuckles descended from them, and inherited that duty.
