Star Wars Movies
I firmly believe that the prequels are miles ahead of the sequels. The sequels had no direction, story, not even 1 new character we even care about. At least it is a tragic story with some crappy dialogue but we feel during order 66 and Padme/Anakin literally/figuratively dying. Revenge of the Sith is an A tier movie and the others at least feel like Star Wars. The only Disney movie that comes close would be rogue one. Leave thoughts below...

4 답변7, 8 & 9 were all trash. 7 is just a rehash of A New Hope. 1, 2, & 3 were bad because of the CGI and painful acting of Anakin. While 4, 5 & 6 are good they aren't necessarily great. They made monumental strides when it comes to special effects and the time they were released but the Star Wars franchise still thrives on the original trilogy alone. There's some good books out there. Thrawn is fantastic. Some really good games but overall the Star Wars universe is immensely overrated.

The prequels are nothing more than scenes of exposition with terrible dialogue in blue screen rooms, awful characters and acting with the exceptions of Ewan McGregor/Ian McDiarmid, god awful CGI that was immediately outdated, and ruined the origins of The Force/Jedi Council. The only good things to come out of the prequels were the games and shows like The Clone Wars.

5 답변Prequels. I thought they got an unfair rap when they came out 20 years ago. But they are so much better than Episode 7-9.....which just felt like directionless patchwork by comparison.

1 답변The only "good" (And I use the definition of the word VERY loosely here) character in the entire Disney trilogy is Ben Solo/Kylo Ren. He actually struggles, has setbacks, and doesn't even really win most of the time. Especially compared to Marey Sue.

I actually like Rise of Skywalker, it’s not fantastic and I don’t love but it was actually enjoyable. It has dumb plot conveniences and plot holes and such and weird character motives but so does Revenge of The Sith so they’re both on equal ground when it comes to quality. I prefer ROTS though because I like Hayden Christensen, Ewan McGregor and the general storyline of the Rise of the Sith. Force Awakens is a crappy reboot of A New Hope with more forgettable characters and TLJ is an abortion of a movie and a masterclass in shitting on everything the fans have loved about the franchise since the 80s. The Phantom Menace is full of cringy dialogue and ass storytelling and AOTC has such a bad reputation I don’t think I need to explain why it’s bad, but just in case your interest is peaked, go look up “I don’t like sand”.

1 답변As far as the era, I like the prequel movies better, and the concept of their plotline is better. But I feel the sequels are written better, so they get my vote. (Disclaimer, haven’t seen episode 9)

Prequels are a good story told awfully, and sequels are an overproduced story with 0 direction. I'd take prequels. At least there is content about that era that [i]is[/i] actually intreguing and well produced to have me interested (clone wars)

Honestly, I prefer the Prequels since it actually stays consistent. Disney should have only left it to one director, or at least have a general idea for where they want to go with it or have a plan of some kind, because it just feels like a jarbled mess that can't get its head straight.

2 답변The prequels gave us...Jar Jar Binks. Maybe it is just my age, but 1-3 AND 7-9 pale in comparison to the original trilogy.

5 답변The sequels had a lot of problems. But I don’t know how anyone can legitimately and objectively think the prequels are good movies. I think maybe nostalgia plays a part - kids that grew up watching them probably rate them higher than they deserve.

1 답변The prequels because I remember watching it in my car all the time. Of the Sequals, 7 and Rogue One were the only good ones TBH. Nine would be third for the Sequals.
