If you want either one, just quest for it. If not, then skip it. Either way, the choice to grind is yours alone. You don't have to be a PVP god to get wins... just equip the current meta and practice until you're not giving away free kills.

luna has a comparable weapon.. TRUST. go get it. If you don't want to put in the time, then don't. Changes to comp have made it far easier to progress lately so put in the time.. might I suggest more than one match.. I went through a bunch of your history.. IN the last several weeks you have one match.. you lost. I don't see anywhere that you ever went up against a prominent streamer at all. Yes the one match you have the other team used luna, nf, revoker and jotun, service revolver and hammer head, however, your team had nf, revoker, wardcliff and crimson.. pretty meta to me.. the only one that wasn't using meta weapons was you. You were the odd man out on your team. Don't go telling me your playing partners had no idea what they were doing when their load out compared well to the opposition and you lost 4-2 all the while the top player in the match was on your team.

I like all the "no one is forcing you" answers. You are being forced to get the weapon if you want the title. I got Undying last season just to get it, won't be getting Savior because I can't be bothered going into "comp" or using a linear fusion rifle in pvp. Best of luck to you.

I got the Komodo using Line in the Sand and I got it by playing Comp. No it was not easy but I made a point not to use Arbalest for it to make myself feel a bit more...pro?(Can't think of a better term at the moment). The ritual weapons aren't hard. I literally did all 3 in about a week or two(compared to me not really striving for any last Season). The Title's are optional. I intentionally didn't strive for Undying last season as it didn't peak my interest(and I feel the same about other Titles I'm attaining casually). I like the idea of ritual weapons as it's just a small thing to strive for and you get some cool guns from it(not that I really use them. I completed them for Savior this Season). But really though, just go for it casually. I didn't always get heavy each match I played and I still got it. Just keep grinding if it's really that important to you but otherwise don't take away from others just because you're having a hard time making it work.

1. No one is forcing you to chase after them. 2. You're mixing up RITUAL weapons with PINNACLE weapons. The only RITUAL Crucible weapons are the Komodo and Randy's Throwing Knife SR from last season. NEITHER of those weapons are meta-defining....and you can still be quite competitive without them. 4 The PINNACLE weapons from last year-----Luna's Howl, Not Forgotten, Mountain Top, and Recluse----are a different story. Those weapons were best-in-slot God Rolls...and came to dominate the Crucible. They were basically the most powerful exotic primaries in the game....and were masquerading as Legendaries. So you simply were not competitive in high level play with out them...and even after they've all been nerfed they are still dominant weapons. Bottomline, adding them to the game was a HUGE design mistake by a Bungie that was DESPERATE to save a dying Comp playlist. So they did what worked in the short-term...and just accepted the long-term problems those weapons would create. ...and they are STILL dealing with those problems. When Bungie announced Luna's and NF, I said those weapons were going to be a disaster, and were either going to need to be nerfed or removed from the game.....and so I had ZERO sympathy for Bungie when that day came and players who had sweated their balls off to get them were understandably mad.

If you don't like it don't play it you are nit forced to get them you are forcing your self to get them so stop blaming bungie

Ritual weapons are not pinnacles...
