You clearly interpreted my post wrong.
[okay, I’ll let you clarify then.]
And digital dlx versions of games are for morons.
[I agree, I was just being a bit hyperbolic to make a minute point.]
I already refuse to contribute to eververse, why would I pay for a digital dlx version (where did you even get that idea) with more useless cosmetics when the games armor systems already so broken.
[I got that idea because you said you’d pay $100 for base game that (IMO) is worth at most $45 if I’m giving it more credit than what’s due. Also, I’m pretty sure sure eververse makes up a majority of bungie’s income now that they made New Light the base game, but I digress.]
I’m saying the game obviously takes an obscene amount of money to create, obviously $60 base games are not working anymore.
[well no shit it costs a lot of cash to make and upkeep, because a company has to make more money than they lose to generate profit. As a side note, if bungie charged $100 for the vanilla version of either destiny the fans would be pissed beyond belief.]
Increase the price as well as the quality of content along the way.
[well content takes time to make depending on the funding for the content and the size of the content’s dev team. So a smaller dev team with bad funding can make excellent content, it will just take them a really long time.]
It’s simple economics
[yeah, it’s simple economics that a game with about a third (give or take) of it’s permanent content being F2P and the other two thirds being completely optional paid content (both in regards the base game and playing each other) needing at least cosmetic micro transactions break even on development and upkeep costs.]
But I wouldn’t understand the fortnite generation to understand what quality content is in the first place.
[I’m not even the fortnite generation, Halo 3 was literally half my childhood.]
Seasonal fomo and lack of qol changes desperately needed for the game is the problem.
[First off, I’m not gonna get into FOMO because that shits a rabbit hole. Secondly, bungie went on their annual holiday vacation during this season, so naturally the QOL updates won’t come as fast at the start of this season, not accounting for the fact that bungie doesn’t have the support of two studios that probably cared about destiny less than bungie.]
Activision was also nvr the problem and bungie should just crawl back.
[really? So a studio that’s finally trying to go solo and has had about 4 months to try on the boots of self publishing should “crawl back” to a publisher they just got away from? Sounds like some major bullshit, but alright.]
Wall of text I’m not reading all of, you completely missed the point my friend.
I’m talking completely hypothetically here, as in a game two to three times larger than vanilla D2 was with a more thought out quality type of replayable content.
You know, the actual destiny experience that was advertised
Obviously I don’t believe D2 vanilla is worth $100!!! R u high??
Either way I can not waste anymore time conversing with such s negative wit that tries so hard to be smart.
Later.....
