The never ending feedback loop will end when Bungie gets its lazy ass together and make better boss encounters. No amount of nerfing us will ever hide the fact that they create shit boss encounters.

I need to clarify that better. I don't mean to call the developers lazy, because parts of this game are amazing and the passion pierces through enough for us to see it's there waiting to come out. Management decisions affect what the developers probably really want to focus on and put out. I think the developers themselves are working their asses off.

As a player, I've never seen a game with so much fluid action and artistry, and simultaneously so much unrealized potential. My single biggest issue with Destiny has been the blatantly obvious mismanagement and investment in marketing (and public relations, but that could be rolled up into marketing). If they were to focus on the player experience, it could have become something incredible. I'm hopeful the "gamer" side of Bungie comes back... but I've been hoping for that since D1 Y2. I enjoyed RoI (D1 Y3), but that was the last REAL time I played for enjoyment... My fear is this new model comes out and they abandon the old gaming side, and Destiny just moves from fiscal quarter to fiscal quarter (or season to season). Too many other entertaining franchises out there to tolerate the negative effects of D2. I'd rather get back into Destiny. Bungie, to me, is their own biggest obstacle. We'll see. I hope I see you back here in the future talking about the game itself, and not discussing reasons to like or dislike it.

I have a fear about them abandoning the game side as well. I really hope I'm wrong and someday find myself playing again. Even if they do end it, I hope it at least goes out on a high note. If not, I will treasure the memories and friends I made along the way. I will always give the franchise that. It helped me cross paths with people I probably never would've met and I got friends out of it. I did hop on the other night to help a friend run through the new exotic quest. It was still fun to shoot, but it was so weird not caring about what dropped. I helped and then signed off. I think I can still play in small doses like that to pal around with friends. For now though I'm backing off my solo grinding until I see how this all plays out.
