Just had a game with half the lobby from either Korea, Australia, Russia, or China. I live in Canada.
I was on a half bar for the whole game and bullets were taking at least a second to register. I was trading kills and getting killed through walls left and right.
SBMM in this game sucks. I know people like it for fair games and improvement but you wont get any better if you are in such laggy lobbies.
edit: It wasnt this game that made me make this post, but here is another example of the same thing https://twitter.com/duckyone2mini/status/1211716740826222592?s=21

4 답변작성자: Haunter 12/30/2019 4:18:56 PMIt's from bottom tier players that are entitled enough to believe by virtue of being unskilled they get to dictate whom they should or should not match Remember though, majority hate sbmm as shown by Y2 D1s unprecedented protest right here on the forums #removesbmm

4 답변Pretty much. Even classic mix has sbmm. Messaged a couple of players to ask where they’re from. UK, Chile, Germany, Finland... the list goes on. Trash cans love SBMM and most players are trash so we gotta deal with it until bungie finds a reasonable solution.

There is no SBMM in Classis Mix. The problem with classic mix now is that 90% of the players stay away from that and just play SBMM playlists to get their quests/bounties/weapons done. That leaves the top players going into classic mix hoping they dont have to sweat the whole match against other top players running meta loadouts. The numbers are very low on classic mix so chances are that youre gonna run into top players from across the world right now. There are too many SBMM playlists now, that I can give you. I myself dont usually play pvp unless im doing quests/bounties so I prefer SBMM for that so I can actually get them done without being demolished and taking 10 matches instead of 3. I am sure a lot of people share the same mentality. I would be fine with just one SBMM playlist like control for example.

46 답변SBMM is -blam!-ing awesome. I'm a trash PVP, playing against other trash PVP players is REALLY REALLY fun. If you feel like the people you play against are too good at the top, imagine how we feel playing against you. Yea. Sucks. So @Bungie. GG.

8 답변Agreed that the current iteration is bad. Pure CBMM and SBMM are both bad with the p2p as is. More below. TLDR is that we need a properly implemented hybrid. Disclaimer: copy/paste snippets from my older posts because not a first time discussion: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SBMM was a good addition too. Average players are having balanced lobbies and good time. Low and high-end players are having balanced lobbies but suffering from queue times and off-hour lag. The issue isn't SBMM, it's S+CBMM not being implemented properly. What bungo needs to do is take low-average and high-average players from close enough locations and mix them in more with low and high ends. Problem solved at least on paper and relatively balanced lobbies remain. Stomping is bad. Anyone telling you otherwise is selfish and that will always end up tripping the community down along the road. I hated CBMM in previous seasons because team balancing often paired my very high ELO with 5 very low ELO players from that lobby. The rest go to opposing team and then we got stomped on team level because only Frostbolt could carry that. -------------------------------------------- Saying higher level players should deal with this because majority are in the average and having a good time is selfish and lazy. Saying SBMM should be removed and put CBMM back in, to effectively remove the consistently balanced lobbies from being a thing is selfish and lazy. Pvp should be enjoyble for everyone. This is most consistently achieved by making the lobbies at least somewhat balanced.

1 답변The issue i have is that only one playlist is CBMM, so if I don’t want to face hyper sweaty players and want too mess around with some buddies I am forced into a ironically sweaty playlist because there isn’t enough choice. That’s why I advocate for choice based matchmaking, as it would allow anyone to match make in the way they want.

I find IB is the worst. I've mostly plated comp but it feels like bullets don't even register in IB. Even when they do, it takes about a second for it to register. Crazy that we prioritize matchmaking when the connection breaks the game.

1 답변I have thoroughly enjoyed 5500 matches all season long in quick play. Also I didn’t know everyone was unbroken Except me in my lobby which is big fun(actually it’s not so bad I like the competition, unless it’s 6 of them against me)

5 답변your math is terrible.. how can you have half the team from 4 different countries.. further more, exactly how do you know they are from those countries? If you were on a half bar, that means your connection was bad. Your bar shows your connection not others connection.
-
1 답변I used to play classic mix a lot, gave up with it when most of my lobbies were Chinese and Korean.... two countries I’m thousands of miles away from... honestly I feel it’s connection based to a point then when you reach a skill threshold it heavily prioritises skill over connection...

5 답변Sucks man, most of my PvP friends are gone. Classic mix is infested with sweaty unbrokens and Control/Clash is infested with Laggy players from across the globe.
