Maybe we won’t all agree but imo they had a good formula. It was engaging and the loot was good.
Can we get a weapon refresh yearly? I liked the system, wear the emblem, put on the shader, equip your gear, and go hammer bad kids for hours, and go...

1 답변Efrideets spear Skorris revenge Felwinters lie Radegasts fury Jolders hammer Finallas peril Bretomarts stand Nirwens mercy Waylorans march Tomrods bellows Silvered dread Clever dragon Distant star Not to mention the Y3 banner sets which gave you build focus such as int/dis hand cannon/sniper or other builds with max stats. All worth grinding. A boring quest for armor we earned in Y1? No memorable weapons other then swarm for pve? Nah

1 답변My overall frustrations with Iron Banner just come down to other players and the cheap meta strategies that are mind-numbingly frustrating to deal with. Hardly anything is a straight gunfight anymore and the quest demands heavy kills only compounds this issue.

D1 Iron Banner suffered from very poor loot drops for the better part of its existence. Players were not rewarded for their time playing IB in D1. The guns were better no doubt. Hell you could even re-roll them in the early days. Yr 2 in D1 was when IB was at its absolute lowest fun factor. Improvements came in ROI. Total regression in D2 first with the token system and then with the pathetic quest lines we’ve recently experienced. Having Control be the only game mode in D2 for IB is also pathetic.

1 답변Mostly good. The very first Iron Banner was a bust because the gear wasn't anywhere close to endgame-worthy and IB Rift was hell on earth. But once the issues were ironed out and we had great weapons to pick up, IB was definitely more worth looking forward to in D1.

1 답변WARNING: MY REPLY IS POSITIVE OP, this might be my most favorite Iron Banner of all time ! I’m not good at PvP, honestly for years I was a strikes and raid only guy. But at the tail end of Destiny 1, I would push through Iron Banner just for the Triumph Book (remember those?). But with Destiny 2 , I would try IB once each season, one character only. But this Iron Banner I completed the quest on all 3. Completing the rocket challenge felt like I climbed a mountain 3 times. The fact so many were angry and fearful of it made me feel like a PvP God! All 3 characters on mine have a full suit! It was guaranteed this time ! Some Iron Banners players didn’t even get one armor piece! And we earned Dawning points, Iron Banner tokens, Crucible tokens, Crucible Rankups concurrently! No other Destiny activity has been this rewarding! I’m having a blast this week, and I am not a PvPer.

2 답변Generally agree with your comment although there was some pretty awful looking IB gear. There was one group of weapons that looked like a mad medieval monk had cobbled them together with string and glue(they worked though!).

2 답변The season pass makes PVE tryhards and any Destiny2 no lifer have such an insane advantage in iron banner. It's so annoying being focused on pvp and only playing the pve content I enjoy, so I hover around 967-969 for most of my setups, only to be taken down by a 980 shotgun from beyond any range ever before seen in destiny history. Nevermind the added range to fusions because of the light level difference. Honestly, the season pass additional light levels makes me want to vomit.

2 답변Those Clever dragon days. I miss them. Made iron banner worth the grind trying to get that HC rounds / Handlaid stock and counterbalance roll on the CD. Even the other weapons were pretty good (looking at you distant star) and they all had a uniqueness to them.

4 답변Iron Banner in D1 got me playing PvP. I played for the loot...particularly weapons. These days, I don’t even bother playing it.
