Step 1.
Complete X amount of matches
Kill X amount of guardians
Capture X amount of zones
Step 2.
Complete X amount of matches
Kill X amount of guardians with kinetic weapons
Capture X amount of zones
Step 3.
Complete X amount of matches
Kill X amount of guardians with energy weapons
Capture X amount of zones
Step 4.
Complete X amount of matches
Kill X amount of guardians with precision final blows
Capture X amount of zones
Step 5.
Complete X amount of matches
Kill X amount of guardians with supers
Capture X amount of zones
TL/DR:
If Bungie wants to keep a quest system in IB; instead of specific weapon types make them overall kills, kinetic, energy, precision, and super kills. The games completed and zones captured can stay as is since they help ppl play the objective and progress concurrently.
Edit: Thanks to others pointing it out but if we have to use specific weapon types, we should be earning cool new guns of the same type just like the pinnacle system. Overall, the rewards vs the grind needs to be re-evaluated for IB/crucible in general. I got some great feedback from this post, thanks everyone even the trolls.

2 답변Would make far more sense. The point of games like this is to find your build. You shouldn't be forced into using weapon types you hate

1 답변작성자: Mudcat33 12/27/2019 4:16:30 PMNo it should go like this (In new I mean new iron banner weapons we never touched or seen before) 1. Get 25 Pulse Rifle Kills Reward- NEW Iron banner Pulse Rifle 2. Get 25 Hand Cannon Kills Reward- NEW Iron Banner Handcannon 3. Etc 4. Etc 5. You get my point Unlike your route, mine unfortunately forces players to use certain guns but the rewards for doing so is very worth it and it give the mode much more intiative. We don't want armor as much as weapons. It's a crucible event. I can slap on any set of armor with some perks and it'll be just as useful. Unique iron banner weapons made the event thrive. Now we just get armor and half of the time "revamped". Your route is also good because it allows you to play the event on how you want too. Both special and kinetic weapons should be used during matches if you are competant. To be honest though, the way they are doing this now is terrible. It's useless. Why have a crucible event where we need to play a certain way. And on top of this once you complete the quest you earn 2 year old iron banner weapons and revamped old iron banner armor. The person behind this needs to be taught, trained, or transferred to another unit to make the only crucible event we have thrive again.

Thank you! I think this is the first post I have seen since IB started that has actually had some level of ADULT positive criticism in it. Way to go there! Hopefully others can follow suit and offer a possible/their idea of a solution instead of just BEWHOO-ing about it.

7 답변작성자: Swiftlock 12/26/2019 9:41:52 AMForget that. Hear me out. IB. Ritual. Weapon. Bring back one of the greats like Jolder's Hammer or The Clever Dragon. That's how you get players to become interested and excited for an IB quest.

Highly Disagree. It should be -capture X amount of zones -get x amount of kills with void weapons. -get x amount of kills with arc weapons. -get x amount of kills with solar weapons. - get x amount of kills with kinetic weapons. - get x amount of super, ability and grenade kills. (Primary ammo weapon kills gain extra progress, super multikills grant extra progress) Puts more emphasis on primary gunfights. is one continual progression no steps. No completing matches bullshite.

An alternative would be to increase the number of bounties and make them item specific ie want a hand cannon do the hand cannon quest etc. Adjust the algorithm so that quest numbers are limited so that you can only pick three or four per character. For armour pieces allow them to be earned by doing x kills with a weapon of choice with the number of required kills varying depending on the weapon you choose.

Those sound like bounties to me and we have enough of those. Needless quests used to lock out content/gear is why I've all but stopped playing this game. I was planning on playing Iron Banner until I found out they did it again. Seriously... what's the point behind locking out gear other than to give the illusion of more content by forcing you to do these boring quests. Maybe if I didn't have to do it for each character I'd bother but honestly, it's clear Bungie doesn't want it's casual player base anymore. I don't have time in my life to play this game endlessly just to satisfy their content illusion, I used to be able to hop on a few times a week and still progress my characters doing stuff I enjoy. Now there's always something in the way and it just doesn't work well at all for me anymore. Frankly when something that's supposed be fun starts to feel like a chore it's time to move on. That's what I did a few weeks before the end of last season. Grind, grind, grind only to get reset. No thanks, not anymore. I used to love this game, 5 years and 4500+ hours but IMHO it's never been as good as year 3 with AoT... I keep hoping but it's clear they're moving in a direction that excludes casual scrubs like me. Too bad I paid for this year of so called content I'm not going to play... Oh well... :( My grips aside, for everyone out there that likes this stuff, by all means, enjoy :)

Jet Set WillyIt’s all going concording to plan 😂🤣 - 오래됨
All steps should run as one concurrently. No more of this complete X then complete Y then complete Z that you already completed passively while finishing steps X and Y but the progress wasn’t counted because you hadn’t reached step Z yet. -
6 답변You know very well no matter what the devs do, people complain right? While your suggestion may be better for you, someone may just say that you're nuts. It's best to just roll with it. All 20 people on the forums are complaining about 10 rl kills they can't possibly make with tracking...

Yes this is perfect. Cause I never use primaries in this game, they are a joke. I only shotgun. Whatever gun holds my primary ammo is just a place holder. (Not joking). Kinetic shotgun, energy shotgun, heavy? You guessed it! Rocket launcher. You see I play in the land of controller players. Where 1 shot weapons are king and hitting your optimal ttk is impossible.

1 답변I have an addendum to that, how about don't put engrams behind the quest either. I don't really like PvP but I don't mind playing a few matches for tokens to sink into engrams for mats or the occasional good rolled Last Perdition. I don't want to do this long tedious quest to be able to turn in the tokens. I really don't care about the IB armor, but I don't mind farming for the weapons through the tokens for good rolls.

3 답변This suggestion is in a good balance. Doesn't force poeple to play guns they don't like, can be done on the fly and allows people to stick to the objective. You, sir, know what Iron banner can be.

8 답변No it shouldn’t - if it’s going to be a checklist it should at least have everything on the checklist in 1 step: Step 1: •Capture (X number) zones •Kill (X number) guardians with kinetic •kill (X number) guardians with special •kill (X number) guardians with abilities •complete (X number) matches in the iron banana Once complete talk to lord salamander 👍

2 답변작성자: zJDz 12/26/2019 12:14:45 AMIt should be more like the pinnacle/ritual weapon quest where you can do them all at the same time. Play 30 matches. Capture 50 zones. Kill 300 guardians.

Bro, Bungie knows exactly how to make the IB Quest better, but it's not about the quality time you might have, it's about how they can keep you playing the game as long as possible. BUNGIE is a multi million company and there aren't ANY accidents. Gamers somehow still think that Bungie operates out of a garage with a few "gamer dudes" that got lucky making money with what they love. Errrr....nope!
