1 답변The ending would have been better if Rey had stayed dead and Ben went on to reclaim his heritage instead of what happened. The ending would have had to deal with loss, redemption, suspicion, and finding ones place in the universe. Instead we got the no-conflict "feelgood" ending that made no goddamn sense.

1 답변Eh. Either way would have been fitting, but I personally like how Kylo (Ben) went out.
baited
No. The ability to heal is only possible with the Light Side of the Force. It was a way to show that his redemption was complete. Though that kiss they exchanged felt so fake and so forced I almost choked on it. Though watching her ignite a gold lightsaber at the end was satisfying. That scene nailed down a lot of important ideas: 1. The choice between Light and Dark is personal and not determined by destiny. 2. In current cannon the color of a lightsaber isn’t determined by the kind of crystal but by the wielder’s connection to the force. (Red is created by the Dark Side, which is why Kylo threw his old lightsaber away...after Rey convinced him that he was worth redeeming). 3. Rey was the Chosen One. The Sith were created in a spilt within the Jedi Order over the Force and a Jedi’s relationship to it. Ultimately Rey destroyed the Sith by killing Palpatine, and redeeming Kylo..... .... but also correcting the mistake of the Jedi Order. Instead of suppressing her emotions as was the teaching of the Order of the Old Republic, she made peace with them. Thus restoring the Balance....

1 답변Now that I think about it, it would be a more powerful scene is Ben would have buried the lightsabers and claimed to be a skywalker rather than Rey.
No. After The Force Awakens, I kind of expected Ben/Kylo Ren to die, after all the new trilogy seemed to have been about his redemption, and after killing Han Solo, his story arc was only going to end one way, with his death. Episode 8 hinted that the trilogy might be going somewhere else, but when J.J. came back to write and direct Episode 9 ( and retcon Episode 8 ), it pretty much sealed Ben/Kylo Ren’s fate.
10 답변Spoilers ahead:
I have a friend who wished Rey died. Im torn as to who should’ve died though. I’m not sure. I do think Finn should’ve died on that ship though. It would’ve been a great finish to his arc and and been a redemption from the last movie, since Rose ruined that. It also would’ve redeemed him in that movie. Finn was kinda lame throughout it. 4 답변I am currently still speechless on just how awful the movie was........dare I say 9 had so much potential. But I guess congrats to them. My expectations (I set them super low) were “subverted.” There were a lot of individuals that should have died or some that should have stayed that way 😑 It’s just sad at this point. I’ve been a fan all my life.

4 답변Ehh, both should have survived. They were both extremely strong in the force, why did only one survive?
Sorry, all out of salt.
