What do you think is the biggest problem affecting the quality of the game right now and why? Please be respectful of others and their opinions. Might as well not waste your time with responses just calling Bungie a -blam!-. Feel free to comment other problems you think the game has (big picture things, not nit-picking) and also suggestions to fix these problems. See Spoiler for my opinion [spoiler]Right now, I would really like to see armor 2.0 addressed. Masterworking is very expensive, especially considering the lifespan of seasonal armor (a related problem IMO). I’d also support making all armor ornamental. Lastly, having minimum caps for stats that armor can drop at for certain activities (to ensure you don’t get 50s from endgame content) would be nice. (Xur should also sell higher rolled armor).[/spoiler]

      • If they are going to insist on bounties that you have to fly to the tower for every play session at least they can add some for raids. I hate having to pick between raiding with friends or progressing my season pass. I usually play once or twice a week. Don't really have time to do both.

      • seasons! its shit! i dont want to just run bounties after bounties to get to level 100. i want something else to actually play the game for! if the ingame loot was better maybe that would help, but for now seasons is putting me off playing like i used to :(

      • Simply put there’s nothing “hard” to grind for right now so it’s all easy it’s just time consuming. I don’t wanna see ascendant shards getting to easy cause that’ll just add to the problem. Instead take off that seasonal armor mod nonsense people hate

      • Imo, the biggest problem is bungies stubbornness and their greed. They nearly had the perfect game at the end of D1 and completely ruined it with D2.

        I voted armor 2.0 [b][i]However[/i][/b] Right now I'm getting a good amount of bright dust from doing the Eva Levante holiday event bounties. That double XP is hard to resist. Once the holiday event is over I'll be noticing the bright dust drought a bit more.

      • I really think there is a management problem and a greed problem. Yes everybody should make money and they are a business but there is or should be a limit as to how much you screw your customers over and lie to your customers. Luke Smith I really think is a huge problem I mean really who in the world says doing what they get paid to do is hard to do to all their customers and still has a job. My boss would say if my job is that hard maybe it is time for me to start looking for another job as I would say the same to the people under me.

      • Everything you listed but my biggest gripe is how expensive it is to fully masterwork gear and how rare the materials actually are, it honestly wouldn't be so bad if seasonal mods were universal but they aren't.

        I'll be honest, I did not pick one from the poll as I believe it's a mix of all. The bright dust/ Silver economy is a complete joke at this point. They took away our main source of bright dust and replaced seasonal armor that we could have earned before behind a silver paywall.... Yes I get this is to offset the free edition of Destiny but I feel like it's at the expense of people that have put literally hundreds of pounds/dollars in ( Yes this includes me ) and A complete lack of respect to paying customers. This might sound a little entitled but to be honest, after putting so much money in after buying everything on PS4 and PC ( when they where full price! ) from the BETA onward and now they expect me to sink even MORE in for things that we could once earn... NO just no, I think this is a step too far! Armor 2.0 is a compete fail also.... I DO NOT want to have to re-grind for a set every 3 months... Make the seasonal mods universal.... It's the whole "leave everything behind in Destiny 1" all over again, just on a much smaller scale.

      • Serious lack of build diversity. Like pick any pre determined subclass and any combination of purple weapons and armor, proceed to clear anything in the game. I guess bungie doesn’t feel like gear should matter in a looter mmo, which to me says their target audience age is 8-14 and 39+

        For me it comes down to Story, Gear Rewards, Eververse, and Seasons. Their plan going forward with Seasons does not seem sustainable to me. Sure a one time payment of $10 is pretty cheap for what you are getting but that doesn't make the fact that the game mode Sundial, the only major activity that the season offers, is going away after it is over. I think that people, such as myself, would be more satisfied if Seasons added other permanent activities and not just primarily a temporary 6 team game mode. Imagine if they added a permanent 1-2 Strikes & Dungeons that had a connected story and unique (as well as cool looking) gear to grind for, along with the temporary 6 team event of the quarter. Bungie has publicly stated that cosmetics of the game will, more or less, be put in the Eververse. Sure the base game is F2P but it still has paid Expansions and DLCs so it is still mostly a B2P game. There are B2P online games that do a good job balancing game rewards and store cosmetics. [u]What Destiny could do for example:[/u] Take a Dungeon or Raid, not only does it have unique armor and shaders, but they also reward unique ornaments and if you are up to the challenge; a unique ship and sparrow. People like Gear with good stats but they also love to do content to earn COOL looking gear. [b]For example:[/b] The Pit of Heresy should have had unique sets of Red Hive armor that players could grind. Another problem to address is gear becoming useless after a Season has passed. This is terrible for people who invested dozens to hundreds of hours into the game. The way armor 2.0 is set up and with how gear progression works people feel like nothing they get is worth anything and nothing they do values their time. They don't want to spend any resources because there is little benefit to mod, let alone masterwork, something that might become useless in three days or three months. Another example: One time use shaders doesn't encourage gameplay, it just made people less likely to want to use shaders at all because now it feels like there is no point in customizing gear that you aren't 100% sure you are going to be using later within half the year. This is a notable flaw of the seasonal artifact system To spend who knows how long to make a perfect set of gear only for it to become moot is not enticing for players. When I say Story I mean something that has a beginning, middle, and end. Alot of people were peeved when Shadowkeep abruptly ended just when it was getting good. "Curse of Osiris" and "Warmind" were guilty of telling half baked stories that should have been longer. (Although I will admit Escalation Protocol is one of my favorite events in the game!) Other online games manage to have each installment tell a partially self contained story that is also part of an interconnected narrative that spans across 1-2 years. When playing the smaller DLCs in ESO I never feel like "That's it? What about the rest of the story?" ESO does a good job telling a small self contained story through its Dungeon expansions. Destiny Seasons could tell smaller stories and Expansions could tell much larger stories. People just want the storytelling we saw from HALO.

        • I would argue it's between the armor economy and crucible. I don't neccesarily think armor 2.0 in and of itself is a fail (though affinity on exotics NEEDS TO GO) but rather the economy is suffering. The only two ways of getting enchantment prisms and ascendant shards are from Banshee for a LUDICROUS cost or from Legend and Master Nightfalls. At the very least enchantment prisms need to be spread out much wider, given to high end non pinnacle activities (such as resetting valor, completing weekly missions, or finishing weekly rituals) while Ascendant Shards should be available from every pinnacle source (GoS, PoT, Master Nightmares, and Master Nightfalls) though only the Nightfall should be repeatable. As for crucible...well that's a complex problem. I much prefer SBMM to the Stomp/Get Stomped way it was in Forsaken so I don't want that to go away. The problem lays where's its always laid, the ammo economy, the abilities, and the huge disparity between weapons. Special is running rampant, OHKO abilities are everywhere, and more than two thirds of the games legendaries are literally unusable. Combine that with a shit tier rewards system and you get one of the worst PvP shooters on the market.

        • Lack of adult narrative. Way too repetitive. Too much focus on team-based activities. The content is based on factors of ‘bare-minimum’ economics. The most attractive loot locked behind a pay-wall. Artificial ‘extender’ activities. Lack of dialogue. No differentiation between PvP/PvE load-outs (a major and significant problem that they still pedal as a ‘feature’ of the game!). Replay-ability=repetition. Did I mention repetition...? With the character/weapon mechanics, art-work, music, lore and (ever hopefully) the addition of some engaging story writing the game is still, after all this time, on the brink of being the game by which all others are judged.

        • They really need to make some changes to the Armor 2.0 system. It was made out to be amazing and giving more freedom for builds, but it's far more restrictive than the old system. And masterworking costs far too much for how little it pays out. At least the old system would give you damage reduction when you masterworked armor.
