High impact fusions like Erentil is a big problem on console. Only people who defends it is either in bottom 50% in crucible and doesnt know what they're talking about, gambit mains or an Erentil users themselves.
The only argument I've seen for the erentil is that "you only hate it because you shotgun" This has always been the main argument for the Erentil and has ALWAYS been coming from a low tier players. Yes, I do run a shotgun but I barely even use it. I'm highly primary focused and the only situation I use my shotgun is when someone comes too close.
If you play on console and is BELOW top 10% in the crucible please don't even comment in this post. Due to skillbased matchmaking and lack of crusible experience lower tier players wont understand how stupid Erentil is. I'm sure it's easy to outplay at lower levels but I ended up top 1 to top 0.5% in crucible in the gammodes I played last season. In my lobbys people rarely miss or get baited. Unless you're at a similar skill level you cannot understand how cancerous the erentil actually is.
I totally get that fusions are suppose to be shotgun counters and I'm fine with that but when a fusion rifle starts to push within or even beyond pulse rifle territory it's gone too far. I have a god roll Spare Rations with a whooping 66 range plus rangefinder. I can 3 tap people at 29 meters. It has longer range than an ace of spades yet I ALWAYS get outranged by the Erentil and I even flinch it harder since I've got high caliber rounds... Do you not see how stupid this is?
FFS bungie they're suppose to counter shotguns. Max range on shotty is like what? 8 meters? 10 maximum. Wouldn't it make sense that the Erentil and other high impact fusions would have a maximum KO range of like 15-20? Right now any erentil can KO far beyond 30 meters. With the God roll you can kill up to 75 meters... that's further than most pulse rifles.
If they're gonna have a KO range like that they should be projectiles and not hitscan. Make them the way they were in D1 and the problem is solved. Either that or reduce the range drastically because the only way you can compete right now is if you sit at the back of the map with a scout rifle or sniper and most of us doesnt want to camp all game just because there's an Erentil on the enemy team.

The real problem is players don’t want to have to adapt their play style in a match where someone else can counter it with a weapon. So instead of changing their playstyle they come here and beg for nerfs. Just watch the top competitive players stream. They don’t cry, they don’t beg for nerfs, they use the exact same loadout and change the way they play engagements. Then they win, then they move on.

I used to support the call for a nerf but I got fact checked and I tested it myself with the best rolls and even useless rolls just to see the guns full potential and its fine. If you are challenging erentil with spare rations than that is foolish because 1.) Erentil has way more dmg than spare rations and 2.) Even if you try to play range remember handcannons got and effective range nerf and without rangefinder they are garbage past 25m. I didn't come here to kick your camp down and I can't change your mind but you are wrong in your claim about bottom 50% only not agreeing with you. People think lord of wolves is broken but I just say use erentil and then they laugh at me. Gun balance is fine. Matchmaking, resources, and loot rewards is not.

4 답변It seems like you’ve gotten your ass handed to you by erentil users. Ever tried baiting shots and using cover effectively? I don’t find that going up against high impact fusions is a problem for me because I listen for audio cues and use cover. The only time erentil is a problem for me it’s when it has backup plan and even then I manage to bait users. You’re obviously doing something wrong.
