You can tell how much a weapon has been a crutch by the reaction it's nerf gets here
Didn't see any outrage at all when Breakneck, another pinnacle weapon that was way harder to earn (that seems to be a classic fallback excuse), got nerfed way harder than recluse is getting.
That's because Breakneck wasn't a crutch. This isn't complex to understand why everyone is so upset about it.

1 답변I like how the more talented PVP players are calling it a crutch weapon and take no skill to use are now calling for it to be nerfed. But when they were the only ones that had it and could blow the rest of the majority out of the water it was fine. Now that everyone (or most everyone) has it and can now start to compete again it needs to be taken down. So the elite having the elite weapons is fine, but when they become available to all they are a problem. By the way there was a lot of discussion when the breakneck was nerfed.

1) the time invested by the vast majority of recluse owners (those of us that got it before comp was easy) are basically seeing their investment be flushed down the toilet. 2) recluse isnt OP. Hate to further hurt butts, but its not. Its extremely easy to out play in crucible because its an SMG, dont do like 99% of the community and ape and it cant hurt you. If you rush at an SMG you deserve that death, no excuses for that, ever tried to use recluse against a shotgun or erintil? Bet you lost that fight. Not to mention on console its impossible to control outside of 10m maybe 12 if youre extremely good. Its just so easy to use because 99% of PvP player have the tactical IQ of the poop emoji and dont know any other tactic besides aping. 3) nerfing something because of pve is about like putting on a condom and having sex then trying to claim youre still a virgin. You DO NOT have yo use it. And to the idiots that will say "well if you dont use the meta youre basically crippling yourself on purpose".....tf you think the nerfs doing bud? Its the exact same thing only with extra steps that make you look even more pathetic. Youre just crying because your favorite streamer or tuber told you to. If youd quit bouncing on their bologna pony youd be able to think for yourself for once 🤷♂️ 4) Bungie, in the entire history of thise franchise, have NEVER nerfed a gun and it still be useable. Everything they nerf becomes 100% useless and is never seen again (look at sidearms, how many of them you seen outside of momentum? 0. Whisper? Yeah never even fired mine, got it and dismantled it before the mission booted us back to orbit. Sleeper? They put that i D2? When?). Bungies record with nerfs is 1) to frequent and 2) so overly done they may as well just remove what ever they are nerfing from the game completely because once theyre done it becomes nothing more than a vault trophy. 5) and on top of all this REAL op weapons like shotguns and erintil go completely unchecked, warlocks havent had their melee speed fixed yet to be on par with titans and hunters (who have the exact same melee speed) hell it hasnt even been mentioned by bungie at all, massive connection problems (hell bungies own website went down for 2 days), matchmaking issues that havent even been addressed, P2P is still a thing for some reason even though it was outdated in 1990, and there are TONS of other game issues that continue to go unchecked...... But everyones worried about an SMG that ia truely not as good as they want to believe it is, i dont even use the thing in crucible because my trust is 10x better and 9/10 beats out recluse unless its got MoA prov'ed (which is a pinnacle perk so its supposed to be good, duh) and im constantly swapping it out for calus mini depending on the burn or bounties or simply because its easier to control. But yay, recluse is getting nerfed and all i got was 3 legendary shards and these terrible posts begging for the nerf to waste my time and effort. Thanks again bungie, ill never do another pinnacke type weapon again. Theyre just going to nerf it to "make other guns shine and give more variety" so why bother wasting my time when i could probably grind menagerie and get something better that wont get nerfed.

3 답변I always enjoy how someone who uses the best tool available for them or for the task at hand is using a crutch. Maybe all cell phones are crutches. Go back to using a home based rotary phone, earn your ability to communicate. Next time you need to cut some branches, use a manual saw since your chain saw is a crutch. Use that straight razor since your electric is a crutch. Wait for your dinner to cook since that microwave is a crutch. One could go on and on pointing out how stupid the crutch designation is.

5 답변People are rightfully mad because it's now bottom of the barrel trash, and SMGs were already nerfed in shadowkeep to begin with. Only SMG worth using is huckleberry. I'll be sticking with guns they haven't ruined yet.

nah you can only see if this weapon was used in crucible.. pve users mostly just take the next one in line.. regardless i would like to have my autorifles buffed by 15-20% pve damage.. then i can finally use it in pve content.. i am just a bit sad that we need a replacement for this high damage dealer again and we havent got a great replacement yet.. riskrunner maybe or huckleberry. but they are exotics.. which would leave the izanamis burden off.. which wouldnt be a problem if we could keep our special ammunition when switching..

1 답변Most of the weapons that have been nerfed are fine on console it’s just that pc makes it seem like the weapon is broken but no we have to universal nerf everything for each platform because it wouldn’t seem fair.

2 답변Imo recluse was fine. I dont like nerfs. I dont even have recluse just face it alot in pvp. Most mediocre recluse users arent unbeatable.

1 답변Shotguns are the biggest crutch atm making 15-20% of crucible kills but people are crying about Erentil which makes up less than 2%.

4 답변That's because in destiny guns make average players better. I have seen players struggle when they dont have "their" guns. They suddenly aren't that good. This is my major complaint with this game. It let's average players think they're actually good. Remove pinnacle weapons from this game and you could watch the entire destiny universe shift. From pvp to pve
