Show some respect. You don't know who you are vs in PvP
PersonallyI lack the same vision that a lot of you have. I only see out of one eye. Have done my whole life. It means I have a slower reaction than most, and I rely solely through single vision for everything. It makes playing PvP hard. Yes you don't know that, but its stupidly insulting to get messages abusing me to 'get good' when I know I never will be. Hey I'm ok with not being the best. When I play crucible I enjoy myself. Surprisingly the lack of complete vision and a slower reaction still puts me at pretty good odds to out snipe other people.
I understand many of you are good at what you do. Congrats. Good work I applaud you for having the skills to do so.
What I don't respect is the way some of you treat other people.
You don't know the person you are playing, so play with some respect and play right.
Sending salty messages, being a total jerk and what not doesn't prove your better. It only shows you have no class.
For all you know you could be vs an older person with poor reaction times, a person with a disability, a person who has social anxiety. If they aren't good at crucible then they are doing it just to have fun, earn some rewards, have a laugh and just muck around.
Yes I have managed to earn my way to getting the Recluse and the Revoker and Mountaintop. It proves some of us can do it. But again it's the lack of respect from the PvP community that angers me.
I'm not sensitive about it, win or lose I don't care. I just think attitudes need to change in a game where you are meant to have fun. Not be insulting, and behaving like a classless foul just to show off.
You might be good at PvP but nobody outside would know you from a bar of soap.

These people feeling the need to comment on something to stroke their egos. Don't like the post because it is pointing to truth, its' very easy to just keep on scrolling dudes. Ah but they can't. Too much of an itchy backside. Hey now, keep on with your trolling cause your doing exactly what I expected. Showing you have no class. I feel sorry for those of you who have to be negative to look cool. Your lives must be very sad. Also, it is duly noted, all the trolls and negativity comments are pretty much from the PC and Xbox players. haha!!

What you're experiencing is what is referred to as "equal treatment" crazy concept I know, but those people who are sending hate mail, and bagging, and emoting don't care about you, your disability, or your feelings, any more than they care about anyone else. You are playing an undead warrior that fights back the Darkness. I happen to believe that my guardian would trash talk other guardians. I think most of them would. To play your character with 'class' may not represent your character at all. Those guardians that sided with the Drifter are certainly not the paragon types. Its a game. I refuse to play according to anyone else's moral ideas.

Respect. I think it's really cool to see or read about people who have some sort of disadvantage still playing games or getting out and doing something and enjoying themselves despite it. I wish the community (and reality is the world if we're being honest) was more accepting of this kind of thing. Things would be a whole lot better than they are. PS: Petra Venj for as long as we've known her only saw out of one eye and even so she made a name for herself in the reef, the royal awoken guard and the Reef's royal armada. Then she had to make a name for herself once more after returning from her exile.

Read most of the posts. Not disappointed by the LARGE % of haters posting. Knew it would be so. Proves to the world that with the amount of CORE players that left the game and forum; those players who are left playing and posting on the forums are the avid defenders of Bungie, and are a vile bunch of people. And there is a small, very small base of players left who made up the CORE player base before the exodus. Things will get worse.

1. Having one eye really shouldn't affect your ability to play as depth perception is kind of irrelevant on a 2D image. Not unless there is a separate vision issue you failed to mention. 2. No, you don't know who is behind the screen, and that's exactly why people are asses. Anonymity makes people mean. I’ve only ever teabagged or emoted to wankers who had already done it in a match. Never sent messages. Have received some though. I appreciate good skill when I see it, but each person can only get so good. Everyone has different hand eye coordination or reaction times that will just naturally never be as good as someone else. That’s like giving someone grief because they aren’t good at maths but you are. Some people are just douches.

I have a certain condition which is currently blurring my vision, so PvP is harder for me too. I feel where you’re coming from. But then again, I wouldn’t really get upset over a lousy message. It’s not that big of a deal, just get over it. People suck. I doubt that’ll ever change. Never take what they’re saying to heart. If they knew, they wouldn’t be saying that kinda stuff.

Only time I ever messaged anyone was once a guy killed me half a dozen times and I never saw him coming, so I sent him a message complimenting him. Don't get me wrong, I yell at the screen relentlessly... but sending a hate message is just infantile.

So this post is about something that happened maybe once in a lifetime? And if you care so much about others’ opinions on the internet then maybe you should stick to single player games or disable chat.

Is only seeing out of one eye deterring you from setting your messages to private or something? You're only a "victim" in this case if you continue to allow yourself to be one. You, and many others, just care way too much about what strangers on the internet think about you -- in a video game nonetheless.

Good point well made OP. I haven't bothered to grind for any of those weapons myself mainly because of shitty experiences of comp in the past and I suspect little has changed. Shaxx even says "Respect your opponents" Unfortunately not all of his instruction gets applied when it comes to PvP which is a shame imo.
