With how much Master of Arms buffs body shots it's almost like getting precision shots constantly, but you're not because precision shot damage is ramped up as well. With how ridiculously dependable the weapon is, there's no reason to NOT use it in pinnacle activities such as dungeons, raids and master nightfalls. If you have it but don't use it for those activities you're deliberately gimping your damage output. Master of Arms is simply too strong, too easy to proc and too easy to chain. Get a single kill with any gun to proc it and it multiplies precision damage by 33% and body damage by 130% (making them both deal 25 damage in PVP) close to if not the same amounts in PVE. Getting a kill with it active to refresh it to its full duration of 5 seconds. That's an exotic tier perk and you've slapped it on a legendary. I should not be able to pop a dreg in the head with a hand cannon then switch to recluse and shred anything that I point it at until there's nothing left or I'm out of ammo. One could say that "it's a pinnacle, pinnacles were supposed to be strong" but you'd be arguing in bad faith, because: Crucible -Redrix's Broadsword/Claymore, Luna's Howl/NF were all nerfed either a while before or at shadowkeep. -Revoker is strong because it's unique and doesn't punish missed shots by refunding ammo, but for a sniper its damage isn't godly strong -Mountaintop was strong because of Rally Barricade/Lunafactions, and the changes made to these brought it in line with what it SHOULD be: a special pocket rocket launcher, and not an artillery cannon. Gambit: -Breakneck was decent to pretty good until shadowkeep, where it got nerfed into the ground with the changes to rampage. -Hush is fun and changes how you play with bows. Hip-fired precision hits grant a draw speed bonus, and normally you wouldn't hip-fire a bow. When I have more time I'd love to grind this out, because I like bows. -21% Delirium is good for ad-clear, reigned in by the fact that it's a power weapon and power bricks don't drop like candy like primary bricks do. Vanguard: -Wendigo GL3: Again, power weapon, so reigned in by the fact that it needs power bricks, AND by the fact that you can only have 6 charges of explosive light at any given moment. It also doesn't have spike nades, which is probably what's keeping it from being disgustingly good at dealing absurd damage for those 6 charged shots. Oxygen SR3: It's a scout rifle, and even with their buffs they went from feeling horrendous to feeling not awful. Perk is unique, probably good for ad clear if you have a boss to tank its precision hits. -Loaded Question: Very fun to use, good for ad clear. It's a very strong, with the first kill of a mag dealing more damage and making enemies explode, but only the first shot. Nerfs to rally barricade/lunafactions tamed this animal (not quite a beast since it's a fusion rifle and fusions don't have high reserves). Nerfing Recluse would open up build variety, because its contenders (Exit Strategy, Subjunctive, Huckleberry, maybe Every Waking Moment) are a mix of exotic and legendary, kinetic and energy.
