Or had something to do with their creation. Biggest reasons I say this are as follows.
EDIT: I'm adding some thoughts to the end of this post that came up in conversation with a friend IRL.
The basic Ghost, when seperated into it's different pieces and reduced to it's primitives is made up of 8 pyramids/tetrahedrons and a single sphere.
When boarding the pyramid ship, the Darkness takes over our Ghost with practically no effort once we are in close enough proximity to it. Not another word is mentioned of this ease of assumption of control.
While it is believed that the Ghosts were created by the traveler, there is no evidence of this. What we have is hearsay passed down from generation to generation. In the lore it is stated that the Ghosts were made from shards of the traveler but again, there is no concrete evidence that I can point to, to show that this is indeed the case just some stories with abstract descriptions. There is also no real understanding of how the Ghosts use the light to raise guardians from the dead. Though in the lore it is speculated by a cult in the City that Ghosts resurrect their guardians from a template taken from another timeline. If true, time travel is something that the Darkness is quite adept at as made apparent by the Vex's abilities, that is of course assuming they got their knowledge of time travel from the Darkness and not by means of their own volition.
Another reason I think the Ghosts were created by the Darkness is that in one of the Ghost Stories lore a lecture is being given by two Guardian-less ghosts named Balthazar and Peach. Balthazar describes in metaphor what it believes it experienced before being born. The other ghost, Peach, says that it does not remember anything and claims that Balthazar is lying. What is most interesting about Balthazar's metaphors is that he describes being in a dark place filled with points of light, a description similar to stars in the black of space.
All of is this is pure speculation of course, but it's something that has been bothering me since I boarded that pyramid ship and having recently 3D printed a Basic Ghost shell for myself to decorate and seeing it's individual shapes in my hands. What bothers me most of all is that there isn't even a second thought by your Ghost or anyone else as to how or why the Darkness was able to just assume direct control over our Ghosts. And looking at the Unveiling lore book, I'm half tempted to say that Traveler was the new rule created by the Gardener, and that this new rule got out of hand. This new rule would help those who drew strength from heterodoxy (established beliefs/standards) and reward those who make space for new complexity (variation/life maybe?). Something to ensure there is someone always building something new.
The Winnower, (to winnow means to separate with air (Eliksni whirlwind comes to mind)) dislikes this new rule and claims that things that should not exist will come into existence and that regardless the ultimate outcome will be one final shape that overcomes ALL others (sword logic?). That those things that exist, exist because they are stronger and therefore have a right to exist.
Where the Gardener seeds life, the Winnower prunes it back letting only those things that were strong exist. But once this new rule was made, things changed.
EDIT BELOW--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If made by the Darkness, it's possible that the Darkness uses the Ghosts to raise guardians from the dead, who are intimately tied to the Traveler. Why do this? Well, so long as humanity is draining the light of the Traveler for it's own purposes, then Traveler isn't going anywhere.
But, if the Ghosts really were created by the Traveler, then Darkness' ability to assume direct control is an impressive display of power.
However, a third possibility came to mind. What if the Ghosts were made by Golden Age humans who saw the inevitable end. Ghost Fragment: Future War Cult talks about a Golden Age device that would allow the users to glimpse the future. Interestingly, some of those who used the machine spoke of meeting a stranger who was also themselves (Shadowkeep ending comes to mind). Rasputin doesn't seem to see the Ghosts as a threat, nor does it acknowledge they were created by the Traveler.
So the idea here is that the Ghosts were genetically paired with someone in the Solar system before the collapse. The collapse happens, and the Epoch Strategy that Ghost Fragment: Rasputin 5 speaks of goes into effect once an ALL CLEAR is given. Ghosts are then deployed all over the solar system to find their registered users. Now, according to GF: Rasputin 5, departure of the Traveler would put this at stake. If the Ghosts were created as a sort of paracausal weapon, then it would be safe to assume that they are capable of using the Travelers light. They may even have a piece of the Traveler built into them for the purposes of ensuring they have a connection to the light. After all, the Witches on the moon needed only a shard of the Traveler to drain it's light.
I might have started this discussion, but y'all are keeping it rolling. Thank you to everyone who has joined in the conversation. This is proving to be some really interesting stuff.

1 답변Important thing to note. There’s a scannable or adventure on Nessus that the ghost mentions the vex want him to “come home”.

3 답변작성자: HammelBreu 11/7/2019 4:35:17 PMI think the answer is more simple than a conspiracy theory. Both Traveller (Light) and Darkness are the sides of the same Medal and can be - at least from my point of view - considered as twins following 2 extreme contrarious philosophies. Their origin is the same entity. [Similar to Vorlons and Shadows from Bab5 with difference that both are from the same race] In this case it is totally normal we are dependant on the traveller and the Darkness can easily access our ghosts. Its the same technology... I tend to think their "war" might be our biggest problem because in order to survive, humanity would need to embrace both light and darkness. This approach would be a massive problem for both vanguard and most guardians cause they consider themselves as the "Good" and the Darkness the pure evil. /edit: Furthermore Light and Darkness consider themselves as their natural enemies. They will never be able to come to peace and their war will burn the solar system to ashes (see the fallen civilization as reference) What was this saying? There can never be light without darkness and no darkness without light.

2 답변It's interesting that you mention the triangular shapes that make the ghosts, since there's also a sphere in the center. And when the ghost uses its powers, the sphere emits light that pushes the pyramids outwards. This light is similar to the light that the traveler sends at the end of the Destiny 2 campaign. One possibility is that the ghost is some combination of light and dark. Somehow the two powers came together to make a hybrid. Before I get spammed with "you're wrong" messages, I want to say that this is just fun speculation. I'm not trying to prove anything about the lore.

4 답변작성자: Duhawk1 11/7/2019 3:26:40 PMThe original story plot to Destiny, written and put together by Joe Staten one year before the release of the first game, had a plot twist in which the traveler deceived the Vanguard into believing it was the "good" guy, when in reality the Traveler was the bad guy, and hence all of us Guardians were the "villain." This was to be revealed at a later date. Then Joe left Bungie and the story got mangled, changed, peice-mealed out, and is now being made up as they go. This is the real reason it is near impossible to make any sense of the story, or to have a good debate about what any of this means. The story is fragmented, and the Grimoire shoehorned into the game by someone else at the last second. I would not be shocked to see them throw this plot twist back into the mix toward the end of the franchise's life. So OP's topic is probably right on point!

6 답변“The We Before Us” entry of Ghost Stories https://www.ishtar-collective.net/entries/the-we-before-us#book-ghost-stories The Ghosts were birthed from the Traveler as sparks of Light with no shells, and they built their shells using the scraps of humanity’s world leftover by the Collapse.

2 답변Except the speaker has said “the traveler made the ghosts” in like the first few minutes of D1....

1 답변The Vex don't control time at all. They didn't have true time travel before we destroyed Atheon in the Vault of Glass, and they REALLY don't after we did. Keep in mind, Atheon split off from the Vex Collective. They're the only Vex to actually control time in any capacity. And they got very thoroughly destroyed.

1 답변작성자: W33DEDPLAGUE 11/7/2019 4:12:00 PMSeems possible to me. Maybe guardians were stationed on Earth by the darkness to wait for the traveler to awaken and destroy it? When it did awaken, the ships obviously noticed and started sending in backup. Being created/resurrected by the darkness makes sense with the final cutscene of the campaign too
with the representative of the ship being our guardian, maybe that is actually the true form of the darkness, looking just like us, its meant to make us think it merely cloaked itself to look like us, but maybe thats really what they look like
. If the whole dark guardian theory comes to pass in D3 or whatever, it makes sense. Im still more interested in the Nine talking about hkw we can leave the game and stuff, still wondering how that fits in here.

2 답변I think the traveler and darkness are fundamentally joined which is why the darkness can connect with ghosts in the first place. They’re like siblings constantly fighting.
-
6 답변Interesting idea but I don't believe it's true. Mainly because in the red war when the traveler was cut off from us that directly affected the ghosts. As for the darkness being able to take direct control of our ghosts, that has been a power of the darkness that has been mentioned before. It's generally how the darkness likes to communicate with others.

7 답변작성자: Shockwave 989 11/7/2019 1:25:14 PMIt would make you begin to question why Destiny 2’s base story opens with a vision given to you my The Traveler and why the Ghost finds the Shard feels so familiar. But that’s meaningless, push that back into the ‘I forgot’ corner. Any argument that the Darkness created Ghosts because it can overtake a Ghost so easily is flawed for one reason. You’re talking about a singular ghost entering a Pyramid ship, the closest thing to the Darkness we have yet encounter. We know the Darkness can suppress the Light, we see this with Hive sorcery and especially in accounts from the Drifter. There’s also the fact that despite us Guardians utilising the Light The Traveler has been recovering from the start of Destiny 1 to now. So the point about Ghosts keeping the Traveler here seems pointless....

Ive always assumed Destiny stole the concept from Transformers lore. Darkness is Unicron. Traveller is Primus. Unicron went into hibernation into a planet and then became giant god robot. Primus went into hibernation but created the transformers...or ghosts.
