Unfortunately, Bungie cannot program their game to allow for every contingency concerning disability and the like. There will always be someone that needs a different workaround because of special circumstances. Bungie will not individually allow aim assist for specific Mouse/Keyboard users because of the fact that they cannot do so for individual users. It's an all or nothing, and giving that advantage to M/K users isn't something Bungie wants as a design choice. It's not specifically targeting you and your disability, it's just simply that your problem makes it more difficult for you to enjoy the game as it is. Since you have difficulty using a regular controller, then look into the controller made specifically for your circumstances. Please bear in mind that while a medically-necessary modification may appear against the CoC because it's modified hardware, as long as you go through an officially licensed modification company or purchase the Microsoft Adaptive Controller (mentioned above) and the controller doesn't grant you any special benefit such as macros, then you should be good. Bungie does understand that many people have to use adaptive controllers in order to enjoy their game, so as long as you don't take advantage of that understanding, you should be fine. If you have an advocate to help you, such as through care workers or through a disability assistive agency, you can also discuss with them as this being a medically necessary endeavor to assist you in not only improving your quality of life with entertainment and mental well-being, but can also point out many of the studies that show that playing games can also improve manual dexterity and assist as a physical therapy in addition to a mental and emotional one. Such an advocate may be able to either assist you in purchasing it or be able to discuss it with your insurance to get insurance to help you purchase it. Through such, you may even be able to enjoy many other games outside of Destiny 2 that you previously could not that required the use of a controller, making it difficult or impossible for you to even play them in the first place.
