Something has changed recently, I was getting completions on the first few days.
Getting to the final wave isn't an issue, the problem is as soon as the final nightmare boss hits an immune phase, the 4 nightmares are sprinting to sacrifice and the timer runs out.
Ogres will run right through a towering barricade completely unphased, none of the 3 types of nightmares are even slowed down by a tether either.

There are less people lately which doesn't help, several attempts to play it I was the only one there... fast travel away and back again, maybe 1 or 2 people there.
This activity is meant for 6-8 people but I only saw that on the first day or 2.
Same problem, different occurrence

1 답변I'd hate to see them nerf this event when it seems to just be a case of the 'git guds'. I get that alot of blueberries will be there underpowered and a completion will never happen, but at the same time I've completed the event with a total of 4 random guardians that obviously knew what to do.

10 답변I actually agree with this. Out of my 10 boss wave attempts I've only been able to complete it twice and never without any sacrifices. I'm sure if you had 9 players in the area it would be much more reasonable but that just doesn't happen naturally. Normally you will have 4-5 players in the area under ideal conditions which means each person has to be able to take on one of these nightmares solo, but if each person doesn't have any heavy ammo or super to deal with them quickly they're just going to rush to the portal. Any yes, chances are players won't have any heavy or supers because they used it on the first wave or the boss itself. These enemies have a lot of health. Possible solutions? -Spawn less nightmares per wave. -Stagger the spawn rate, not all at once. -Spawn nightmares together so as to not force players apart. -Significantly slow down the nightmares. They really don't care about players and rush the portal.

Don't even forget about Knights and their janky physics. Hit them with a blade barrage and watch them go flying through the air, accidentally sent one into the altar that way. I found the best thing to do since they focus on running more than fighting is to just keep punching them. I've stun-locked them with combination blow and liars handshake, plus it does some decent damage at 3 stacks.

3 답변Oof. The Wizards especially. Though it would help if people looked at the bloody giant markers on their screen instead of camping the immune boss.

6 답변I don't mind the challenge. A little chaos doesn't hurt and I like that you can't always complete the event without enough players working fast. Otherwise it will feel old quick.

Altar of Sorrow should be a matchmade activity like Menagerie, how did bungie fail at doing the exact same formula for another new activity, which lmao why don't we get to choose our rewards? BUNGIE WHY DON'T WE HAVE A CHALICE 2.0 ? Make something but don't learn anything and push out content without doing what people praised you for in a prior activity...

2 답변Lol no, you just need to get gud. Not every activity needs hand holding... This game SHOULD be difficult. I personally found the difficulty of AoS to be pretty much perfect.

6 답변Try this. Don’t worry about the bosses sacrificing. I’ve witnessed runs where almost everyone focused on ads, letting bosses sacrifice. Once they sacrifice, you are able to attack the big boss. It was successful every time. And the runs where the sacrificing bosses were targeted? Failure. Every time. But getting the group on the same page is the trick

1 답변Agreed this is EP all over again, Bungie clearly never learns from their mistakes. First week I tried it there was 5 of us around, we got to the bosses first immune faze. Then it was all over in a flash, the timer in the later waves needs to be increased as well

Wizard spawns, floats directly towards the sacrificial plate faster than Knights or Ogres Bungie: working as intended Only way to do anything about it is to use a Pike and get in their way or push them with it. Also i dislike that they spawn nightmares everywhere all at once when the tier 5 boss decides to go immune, there's absolutely no way we can defeat them all without a single one sacrificing, therefore that triumph for doing so cannot be completed Also why is this activity set at a absurdly high powerlevel bungie? I'm 950+15 but these nightmares feel like MASSIVE bullet sponges, even the weekly powerful nightmare you can summon isn't that tanky...

3 답변I actually got in a random group yesterday who could hold their own. There was a hunter there just outright beating down nightmares quickly with melee attacks. I should have looked at his setup to know his secret... I actually earned the triumph from killing all nightmares before they sacrificed as well. Felt good, and I think it was like only 4 other people. I haven’t turned in the triumph yet. Is there a reward from this one?
