The F2P update shouldn't have dropped at the same time as Shadowkeep. If they had to delay SK further to get the huge influx of players stabilized then people would've (probably) been more understanding, and it gives the new players a chance to at least get through the free story. Also would've given Bungie some time to iron anything else out that they may have caught just a bit too late.

Naw, double delays are not good. Gives the assumption they are having major issues. Also, to delay just for new players to get accustomed is going to irritate players who’ve been waiting, and have already invested money into the game.

There wouldn’t have been a double delay though. Depending on whose version you believe (Bungie’s or conspiracy minded community members) the delay was either because shadowkeep wasn’t ready for prime time and needed tweaking or they wanted to avoid BL3 launch. They could have launched new light on time and there wouldn’t have been a delay for the new people to experience. Most people jumping into a F2P game would not compete with BL3. Not that it’s not the same target but if you’ve never played a game and you’re interested in 2, you’re likely to put off the one that costs $60. It’s only when both cost money that you’re truly competing.

작성자: Emurinus 10/22/2019 3:03:28 AMA good point, but Bungie's confusing decision to forego old content for new light players in favor of pumping enough people through seasonal content still feels just as ridiculous, if not jarring and confusing for new players. There should have been some better way to handle this.
