Error Code: Weasel > Account Banned

Hello Bungie Team, I was playing regular Strikes and had a WEASEL error code. After trying to reconnect, I now have the Message that my Account got banned. Could you please resolve the issue. Best regards Starstripe

    Your account was banned for using a known aiming cheat made specifically for Destiny 2 on September 26th. Your ban - including game access history - has been reviewed and upheld. When receiving a ban or restriction, players will be disconnected from Destiny services and receive Error Code Weasel as part of the process of applying the ban or restriction. For information on behavior that can lead to a ban, visit https://bungie.net/bans

  • If you got a perma ban, it was apparently due to using an aiming cheat tool as stated from Bungie's Tweet. If this is the case then good luck as bungie wont really tell you, so the likely hood of getting unbanned is small. I would just request a refund then see about making a new account.

    • After the release of the update, many faced such a problem that they were banned for no reason. I've been trying for two days from Bungie to get a reasonable answer, so nothing happened. As many respond that with this nothing not do and exit from this situation only one create a new account, but I believe that this not quite the exit from such situation so as after year game and purchased seasonal content all anew undergo and buy this already quite not the exit. So I offer to arrange the Bund and gather all those who are banned for no reason after the last update.

      • Same error here, was able to play fine for a few days and now after logging in today I've been banned.

        • is also in the same prohibition situation for no reason and nothing, was playing pvp and I was disconnected

          • Sadly, I still have no answer from Bungie yet. But I had time to read the complete policy of Bungie regarding bans and allowed background software. And I am 100% sure, that I did not violate any of the rules. If the support team needs any system-logs or more detailed information on my machine, I'd be happy to provide it, to narrow down the problem. Could a moderator please reply to the issue? Thanks in advance.

              • Weasel can occur if you are online when a ban is placed. Typically, pc bans are due to software detected by Destiny 2 while running. These include but not limited to, trainers, aimbots, auto-fire, mods, graphics hacks, anything that injects code into games, debuggers for programing, even some viruses. any of these could cause a ban, [b]even if not destiny 2 specific[/b] [b]Restrictions are temporary, and will not be overturned or undone before they expire. Once an account is banned however, that ban is permanent. Account restrictions and bans are only done in extreme cases; if actions were taken against your account, then it was with reason.
