A new rumor indicates Star Wars is looking for a female person of color to play the main protagonist in an upcoming film based on BioWare’s Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR) video game.

The rumor comes from We Got This Covered who report, “Lucasfilm is keen to have a woman of color in the lead for its KOTOR movies.” They add, “It’s apparently important for them that the pics feature a diverse cast with a female person of color in the role of protagonist.”
Oh but it’s not important to be faithful to the source material?
They note that Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins and A Wrinkle in Time and New Gods director Ava DuVernay are up for the roles [of director].
If these rumors are true:
🖕🖕🏻🖕🏼🖕🏽🖕🏾🖕🏿 Disney.
🖕🖕🏻🖕🏼🖕🏽🖕🏾🖕🏿 Lucasfilm.

1 답변
Oh but it’s not important to be faithful to the source material?
Did you watch The Last Jedi? At this point it's blindingly obvious Lucasfilm doesn't care about the OT or the source material. If you honestly thought the KOTOR film was going to be different I don't know what to say. At this point I just want a good Star Wars movie. With the current management and creative direction it ain't gonna happen.

1 답변What? Why such an emotional response to something so insignificant? Any movie done well in the KOTOR Timeline is a movie worth seeing if you're a fan, regardless of casting choices. Also, if Bastila is the lead that would be a pretty interesting direction. To argue otherwise, well I'd love to hear what those arguments are to be honest.

작성자: Speaker 9/13/2019 9:03:39 AMI'm just not going to see any more star wars films, the crap way they handled Han Solo betrayed me, and the Last Jedi was just hot garbage, essentially Disney saying, "-blam!- you fans, Star wars is ours now" Ps: I thought the void had no emotions...

작성자: Dr. Hard On 9/13/2019 12:37:20 AMWhatever. Like, it sucks that they’re going down that diversity path that they’ve been doing lately. But at the same time, if you didn’t see this as a possibility, I wanna say your expectations were a little off. I was hoping they’d at least capitalize on Keanu Reeves’ recent surge of popularity with literally everybody and have him lead (canonical Revan (as of now) looked a lot like him), but oh well. I’m pretty sure that the choice of director isn’t confirmed yet though. Those two directors listed are just high on the list of possible directors, D&D are also listed to direct some Star Wars films too, so this could be them. Oh well, Disney being Disney amirite? Edit: I decided I wasn’t done yet. I am perfectly fine with the choice of a POC female lead, as long as they don’t shove it in my face. Even in the KOTOR games, the identity of Revan is an actual mystery, he just sort of shows up out of nowhere. Revan is assumed to not even be his real name, it’s just what everyone called him. So my point being, I don’t actually mind the choice of cast, if this is true.

I'm not mad. If they are going to continue the venture they started, they may. I won't be paying for it. So I don't really care. However, I must say that they missed a big opportunity to have Keanu Reeves play Revan.

3 답변Kathleen Kennedy has a massive clit hard on for females being the main character in every star wars movie she makes apparently. While this doesn't necessarily mean a bad movie (rogue one) it has led to one of the worst mary sue characters ever in rey and has turned half the fanbase off to anything besides the badass looking mandalorian show coming out

2 답변Did you ever hear the tragedy of Disney? Ironic. They could save themselves from death, but they couldn’t save star wars.

4 답변I thought Disney learned from the low galaxies edge attendance and outrage against the last Jedi and force awakens.

2 답변Did you ever hear the Tragedy of Darth Disney the fools? I thought not. It's not a story the Jedi would tell you. It's a Sith legend. Darth Disney was a Dark Lord of the Diverse, so powerful and so wise he could use the Theater Screen to influence the people to destroy movies... He had such a knowledge of the dark side that he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying. The dark side of the Diverse is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. He became so powerful... the only thing he was afraid of was making a good movie, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught the true fans everything he knew, then they killed him in his sleep. It's ironic he made terrible movies and no one liked them.
