This situation is gonna need some explaining.
Back in high school, there was this substitute teacher. We’ll call him “Mr. T” as to avoid real names.
Mr. T is well in his 80’s and is a kind old man. Before subbing, he was the principal of the high school I went to.
Now when I say everyone loved Mr. T, I mean it. He was the one sub that everyone would without question obey and listen to and no one ever even tried to use the normal tricks that folks would use on subs to do whatever they want because he was that well respected and liked. And he always had a story to tell, with each one having a very important life lesson. Normally, this sounds boring, but this man just had a way to where he got us hooked.
Mr. T really is a great sub and overall wonderful person. And he is so nice and gentle that he doesn’t even harm a fly.
Yesterday, my friend gave me some news that one of the freshmen at that high school made Mr. T cry. Mr. T was starting to tell one of his stories when this kid apparently yelled at him “Shut up! No one cares about your story!” Mr. T did nothing, he just stopped and quietly went to the teachers desk. But many people saw that he was silently crying.
And word got around fast.
But I reviewed an update today. And you wouldn’t know just how happy this new bit of news was to my ears. My friend told me today that a big group of seniors at the school jumped the freshman and beat him up. I know it’s probably not good to condone this kind of violence, but that little punk deserved it for hurting Mr. T like that and he needed to be taught some manners.
Morally of the story is to respect your elders. They have years of wisdom and experience and can happily share it with you.
And if you happen to be that kid who made Mr. T cry:
F*** YOU YA LITTLE SCUMBAG!!! LEARN SOME SOME GOD D*MN MANNERS!!! YOU DESERVED TO GET YOUR A** HANDED TO YA!!! YOU DON’T DESERVE PRAISE FOR WHAT YOU DID, ONLY HUMILIATION AND PAIN MOTHER F***ER!!!
Update: Kid who got beat up is fine. He just got slapped a few times, got a couple of kicks to the shins, and a 1 hour long lecture on how much of a d*ck he is, and got suspended (something unrelated to this incident). People who jumped him all got lunch detention for a few days. Mr. T appreciated the thought the group had and how they cared for him, but wasn’t very supportive of the violence and asked that the students apologize to the kid, which they did out of respect for Mr. T.
New lesson to learn: Karma is a b*tch.
Also, I dont condone what these guys did, but I do think the brat deserved it to be taught a lesson. Also, let’s be thankful this was in a school and not the real world, where this kid could’ve p*ssed off the wrong crowd and gotten far more than a few bruises and a lecture.

1 답변It has nothing to do with him being an elder. Always meet someone with a level of respect for them. Then, judge whether they deserve that respect as you learn more about them. Whoever this Mr. T guy is, it sounds like he clearly deserved respect.

The punishment did NOT fit the crime and escalating to violence sets a horrible example. As a fellow teacher, I feel for him. I really do. Kids can be real asshats sometimes. But he did the right thing. He took it on the chin and didn't lash out at the kid. If Mr. T is as great a guy as you say, I'm sure he's very disappointed in those seniors and anyone condoning what they did. While it might hurt when a kid calls you boring, it's nowhere near as devastating as realizing everything you've tried to instill in your students has been a failure. What those seniors did likely hurt him more than one comment from some random punk. Decades of your life spent trying to educate and raise young minds to be better than you, their predecessor, to learn from your mistakes, wasted. I'm usually a pretty chill guy, but this "they got what they deserved" attitude REALLY pisses me off as a fellow educator. tl;dr I'm sorry and I feel for you, Mr. T. Disrespectful all around.

2 답변... Yeah, I strongly doubt that someone who has been teaching for that long would cry over some words from a teenager, also those seniors are worse than the kid is...
not included in the DLC
작성자: Ogma: Destroyer of Worlds 9/12/2019 4:15:26 PMRespect your elders. Unless they’re terrible human beings that don’t deserve respect. Mr. T being an elder had nothing to do with it. That kid just sounds like he’s a -blam!-. Even then, people jumping him for it wasn’t a good thing to do either.

작성자: Ty’Riis, Kell of the Hood 9/12/2019 2:46:46 PM
Suppose that you were sitting down at this table. The napkins are in front of you, which napkin would you take? The one on your ‘left’? Or the one on your ‘right’? The one on your left side? Or the one on your right side? Usually you would take the one on your left side. That is ‘correct’ too. But in a larger sense on society, that is wrong. Perhaps I could even substitute ‘society’ with the ‘Universe’. The correct answer is that ‘It is determined by the one who takes his or her own napkin first.’ …Yes? If the first one takes the napkin to their right, then there’s no choice but for others to also take the ‘right’ napkin. The same goes for the left. Everyone else will take the napkin to their left, because they have no other option. This is ‘society’… Who are the ones that determine the price of land first? There must have been someone who determined the value of money, first. The size of the rails on a train track? The magnitude of electricity? Laws and Regulations? Who was the first to determine these things? Did we all do it, because this is a Republic? Or was it Arbitrary? NO! The one who took the napkin first determined all of these things! The rules of this world are determined by that same principle of ‘right or left?’! In a Society like this table, a state of equilibrium, once one makes the first move, everyone must follow! In every era, this World has been operating by this napkin principle. And the one who ‘takes the napkin first’ must be someone who is respected by all. It’s not that anyone can fulfill this role… Those that are despotic or unworthy will be scorned. And those are the ‘losers’. In the case of this table, the ‘eldest’ or the ‘Master of the party’ will take the napkin first… Because everyone ‘respects’ those individuals.

YOU WILL NEVER REACH TRUTH
3 답변If we all referred to our ages as levels then i bet this generation would respect their elders a lot more.

2 답변... I mean, that’s just two losses tbh... One for the freshman, one for Mr. T. I’m sure Mr. T wouldn’t have wanted to see the freshman get beat up. I mean, there are other ways to teach a lesson. But I digress. That’s just my “usual Cell” two cents.

13 답변While I agree with the moral of the story, I do not agree with the idea of everyone ganging up to beat the kid up over it. I feel bad for both the teacher & the kid, now.

3 답변yeah, no... a group of seniors beating the kid up in Mr. T's name is far more disrespectful that telling him to shut up. i imagine that's not the first time a student spoke to him like that in his 60(?) year career. the real tragedy is when the freshman kid snaps because of the bullies and unloads is father's arsenal into his fellow classmates. but hey, nobody puts Mr. T in the corner. 🤘🏽
