Look. If I get going this is going to get far too long. So I'm going to try to be as straight to the point as I can. We have had six seperate sets of Iron Banner armor in D2's life time. Not a single one of them looks good. I'm willing to let the first three sets slide. That was a new thing, you were trying to get more weebs into the game. But prior to Forsaken, one of the community managers said they heard us about wanting the old aesthetic back. Forsaken comes out, and we get a collection of clumsily strewn together sets that don't have the look of the knight/viking aesthetic, and don't have the conviction to at the very least stick with the tired Samurai look. You keep telling us that there is a limit to how much you can fit into this game and each time a new armour set comes out I am baffled. AWESTRUCK, by your design choices. If there is a limit, why do you insist on filling that limit with armor sets that look so god damn mediocre? Iron Banner armour is just one symptom of this. Iron Banner used to have the best gear in D1. The hunter had long gorgeous cloaks with elegant trees stretched upon the canvas, or a collar wreathed in flames. Titan's used to have plated armor embroidered with wolves, and the horns of bulls. What happened? Where did your designers go? Why is it the one armor set with an animal theme, sorry the one armor set that looks truly unique in this expansion, is eververse exclusive, while Iron Banner has us looking like a bunch of washed out janitors in a post apocalyptic world? Why do you keep aproving these designs? Are you struggling? Do you need new ideas? Because there is fanart that is infinitely better than whatever this cobbled together, sleeping bag cloak having, weirdly rounded, stupid boots having armor set is. I would take one good looking Iron Banner set over this entire year, rather than a low quality set every new season. But then, I guess I shouldn't have been surprised or even hopeful for the new set, considering the set we got in season of Opulence wasn't even a new set. But eververse sure got updated though. And just like that, it was not straight to the point. So I'll leave this here I suppose. [b]tl;dr[/b]: Iron Banner gear, and gear in general needs to stop being so god damned mediocre. There is a limit to how much you can put in the game, so stop filling it up with such ugly armor sets, and actually put in some work and creativity to make something that looks half decent. If you don't want to put in the effort, then don't bother with Iron Banner anymore.
