I think it is bad.
A small% of Destiny 2 players have beaten raids.
A tiny% have beaten last wish, 3.2% have the trophy on ps4.
These numbers will drop.
Bungie wants raids to matter again. Wow, that player has 10 higher light then I do, They beat the raid. What really... Who cares if the gear sucks.
Does light really matter, artifacts are going to be unlimited light, and damage, given and taken is capped at 20 levels over max light.

7 답변If the community would actually take the time to teach, those percentages would be way higher. I’ve noticed way fewer chill groups/sherpas in D2 than in D1. We were all new to the raids once and probably learned the raids from someone in some way (sherpa, guides, etc) Pass on your knowledge. The more other people know, the better for everyone that raids.

10 답변Raids? What are they? MUST have Mountaintop. MUST have Swarm with spikes. MUST have an infinite number of completions. Most, and I mean the majority will never get the chance...Way too many elitist folk not willing to teach.

Check back a few weeks after players start maxing out at a higher level than most players ever achieve. Then you'll see who cares. Max light is a goal for so many here even though they never need to be max to play most of the content.

2 답변Used to love raiding on D1, had hundreds of raid clears. Yet to complete a raid in D2 due to all my Xbox buddies hating D2 so much when it came out and leaving, mixed with the unpleasantness of lfg-ing. Also, we used to enjoy figuring out the raids for ourselves on D1 - might have taken us a few extra weeks but was great fun. From what I’ve seen they’ve gone way too mechanic heavy on D2, almost forcing people to use guides etc to complete. Another example of the elitism bungie seem intent on.

Yes that’s good, I missed how in D1 I was higher than everyone because I completed the raid and they didn’t. That’s how endgame activities should be treated. Raids need to be exclusive and not to be treated as long nightfalls everyone can do. If you can’t communicate or find a team or even find the time then maybe you should consider not trying to find a raid team that day or play with the cards you’ve been dealt and stop expecting the rest of the community to make up for your losses. That’s not how it works in the real world so stop expecting it in the virtual world.

With these recently announced changes, I see the PvE meta setup pool shrinking. Its going back to D1 where all the LFG posts were like, must have gjallarhorn and 10 clears in the 1st hour of release. Locking people out of content is never a good idea, whether that is timegating or paywalling. People paid for all the content in the game, let them choose whether or not to play it. Typical Bungie. Do this the way we want it done, or jog on.

I don’t mind playing with people without clears, but I’ve run into three common types from that group: * annoying people who eat while on the mic * people (especially squeakers) who have to leave for 15 minutes at a time * high school types who talk incessantly or just want to screw around If you are new to a raid and someone leaves your fireteam, think about the above. There are a lot of idiots out there, but that’s people with or without a clear.

21 답변The problem with raids is simple: they are too mechanically complex and are increasingly more unforgiving if a player makes a mistake, and Bungie is continuously doubling down on the complexity. This leads to player impatience and more restrictive LFG requirements, with fewer teams willing to take a novice raider under their wing for fear of continuous wipes and do-overs, which results in a single digit completion percentage. If Bungie could find a balance somewhere between a fun, accessible experience and crushingly tedious mechanics only the most pedantic game designer could appreciate, maybe more players would attempt a raid.

1 답변I would love to raid if I could. Unfortunately, I already have a job, haha! I don't know how it is on the other platforms, but on PC every time I go looking for a clan, it's like applying for a job. Demanding I play x hours a day, contribute daily to discord, and do something with the clan everyday is a bit much. I'm not too keen on devoting my life away. I'm a busy adult after all.

5 답변Raids are terrible, takes too much time to get a fireteam together, mechanics seem unnecessarily complicated, should have stuck with the Menagerie recipe... not too complicated, fun, short but could be a little longer. I have to think less than half of the player base plays these things.

2 답변They haven't gotten more exclusive. D1 was the same. The only difference is D1 raids had beautiful armor and amazing weapons which made it more worth while for players to take on the challenge. D2 raid armor looks like trash and the weapons are no different than than regular legendaries.

3 답변The percentages are our fault. The raids are very teachable. It's people's willingness to commit to the raid and learn it. Many excuses are made, many have actual real priorities to attend to. Bottom line? You make time for it or you don't. At the same time, you have people unwilling to teach and don't invest in others and grow those numbers. I'm sure if you teach one, that person in turn would teach 5 and so on.

1 답변Things that are built to be hard shouldn't be lowered in difficulty for the sake of having more people complete it. I am not great at PvP and will never get Not Forgotten but I don't sweat it because I have made peace with my skills in that area.

2 답변D1 Age of Triumph – the raid expansion, highly regarded as the best state destiny has ever been in. Everyone was raiding. Why? Cause the rewards were actually worth the time. D2 raids simply don’t have good loot. You can get the same perks from the menagerie armor that you can from raid armor. Raid armor also doesn’t look like they came from a raid. Bring back flashy/glowing/over-the-top ornaments and add good perks that can only be earned in the raid and people will want to raid again.

1 답변I don't get what the problem is with the anti raid crowd. There are dozens of guides, both video and text based, that go into painstaking detail on how to beat each encounter with relatively high effectiveness. If you can't be bothered to look up a guide, why in the hell should Bungie cater raids to you? It seems to be no matter how easy the raids get, you're probably still not going to do the minute research it takes to know the mechanics. Why do you think people post "KWTD"? Because there is literally no reason why shouldn't know what you're doing. Well I say no to the noobs. Bungie needs to reintroduce raid exclusive perks back into weapons and armor, in order to incentivise participation. That's what dragged my sorry ass into the VoG, and I haven't regretted that Fatebringer since.
