I was excited to see the new stuff as it was revealed but then I look at their reasons and words and then I realized.
It’s meant to counterbalance nerfs that are coming to abilities.
The new armor seems cool...but the layers of rng with stats and elements affecting mod availability? Less time needed to get an enhanced god roll set sure, but not many people ever grinded that out anyway.
The costs of mods (as seen in the stream) makes replicating existing armor god rolls near impossible. So it’s a downgrade, and the cost of upgrading is going up.
Meaning you’re going to grind more for equal or less payout.
So that’s...a net loss. Sold as something that would be a huge benefit. Because caring about how we look is soooooooo freaking important...
Strength, Discipline and Intelligence. Seems nice...except they aren’t there to make the current recharge rates faster. We all know any improvements in that regard is asking for trouble.
They are there to lift up the new lowered recharge rates. They’ll be low, like how Y1 was, then reach close to present levels.
That’s probably going to be a wash, except for the Super recharge rates. Those are going to be low and stay low.
Slowing down supers and giving you an attack that burns half the bar. If I don’t see max power ammo drop from the finishers at least then I’ll laugh myself out of the chair.
I remember a time when Bungie downgraded abilities. Base D2. No one really liked it. So why are we backpedaling towards that?
Can’t make a game about space magic then nerf it every time it gets powerful. That’s just...bad game making. On every single level.
I don’t care that adjusting other parts of the game is harder then nerfing abilities. You made this game, you told us what to expect.
Deliver the goods or get passed over for a dev that does.
I’m not playing that gun centric crap again. That isn’t why I bought Destiny.

Give you something, to take it away again, so they can sell it to you again, so it gets removed again, so they can bring it back again, and so on. Armor 2.0 is a hoax to serve as another grind and currency sink, finishers are a new opportunity for more Eververse monetization, and all the content is basically reskinned crap. Bungie is creatively bankrupt, and they're just trying to see how often they can resell existing content until people stop buying into this bs. If you buy SK, you basically tell them to go on like that.

1 답변They'll take bad advice from people like Datto, then backpedal when sales are bad. Sounds like they spent a lot of time trying to find additional ways to make money like finishers from EV. The irony is if they just made good content they would make plenty of extra money from EV.

19 답변작성자: PilksUK 9/4/2019 8:24:26 PMYou do know armor 2.0, Finishers and the artifact system are base game updates that are free and not part of shadowkeep right? Shadowkeep is even more deceptive than you think I mean what actually comes with shadowkeep? Looking at it your paying for like 5 new story missions, 1 raid and a dungeon/new activity and thats it.... the 2 new strikes and moon patrol area are free for everyone... and in fact the first shadowkeep mission is free so your paying for 4 story missions...

Whisper of the Worm should be the poster child for Bungie. Black Hammer was one of the first 3 guns nerfed for PvE (along with Gjallarhorn and Icebreaker). One of the first three weapons that was singled out as too OP for PvE was brought back full force into D2, and then nerfed again because surprise! It's too powerful. They are looking to create buzz, give people something to chase down. They know it's getting nerfed in the future. They created a ton of buzz with Forsaken, got a lot of people back to playing. But that went beyond what they consider balanced and now they're slowly creeping back to the suck that was D1 launch. Creating situations where only one ability or weapon is viable, yeah changes need to be made for that. But taking down the entire feeling of power is going to be a move in the wrong direction.

I think you and I saw a different armor 2.0 stream. With mods being crunched into permanent upgrade perks, its instead of me grinding for 5 super mods and hoping for enhanced hand cannon targeting to grinding for god roll intellect with the right burn, which has a lot better odds with only 3 elements compared to the amount of targeting perks out there.

1 답변You are going to get enough for free to start with that I wouldn't buy anything yet. This is honestly the best system Bungie has put in place because you can finally wait a few weeks to see if it's actually worth it without missing out on much. What, you miss some story right away? The raid? So what? The dungeon probably won't be out right away. I am sure the nightmare mode is just another horde mode which we have plenty on now. You can continue to play the game without purchasing anything right away and still level up so that you can jump right into anything new if you decide it might be worth a purchase later.

3 답변작성자: MudShadow 9/5/2019 3:50:35 PMThe best element of the Destiny franchise is the gun-play. And that's what they should be concentrating on. I have no issues with player's having good platforming or support abilities. But overpowered supers which clear out an entire zone is dry, requires little game-play input from the player and get's old very quickly.

26 답변작성자: TheArtist 9/4/2019 8:33:38 PMWow. You are looking through the wrong end of the telescope. The state this game is in right now is NOT something to be held on to or seen as a model for the game going forward. Let me explain something to you right now---as someone who has played games like this for 20 years. Destiny 2 right now is a fun game to play...but it is a badly tuned game...and one that has painted itself into a LOT of corners that make it very difficult to continue the game along its current path. As a result of some REALLY bad design decisions that were made during its development. 1. The weapon system is crippled by fixed rolls, and a shallow and narrow perk pool. This limits the options of the devs to give us power and to generate interesting loot to chase. 2. The class ability tree is crippled by the developmental emphasis on PVP balance. Which was DESIGNED to limit build diversity and the scope of player power. 3. The two above points resulted in the only options the devs had back in year 1 and early Y2 were by ramping up our Supers and through exotics. 4. This has led to a very unbalnced game...and very one-dimensional combat. You don't see this in raids...but where you really see it is in in open world content where people clear away mobs with their guns.....and then you see five or six supers unload on bosses at the same time. 5. The only way to improve this game is take this structure apart...and rebuild a new one. The oly way to do that is to nerf these overpowered supers.....and then bring UP the ones that are underpowered. As well as deepen the pool of perks so that more power can be given to our abilities and our guns. Otherwise, you just break the game....and trivialize content. (Imagine if they'd added Bad Juju to the game WITHOUT nerfing the super-regen exotics first...the result would hve been ridiculously broken it would have just been non-stop super spam. Which is fun for about 10 minutes....) 6. Bungie is clearly in the process of doing this. Yes they are nerfing our supers. But they are also retuning content that was designed to protect against them (Reckoning). More importantly, Armor 2.0 and the Seasonal Artifact are set to significanly broaden the range of powers we have at our disposal. So...yes. You won't be able to stack ONE power or ONE ability to levels of power greater than what you can now. But you will have the ability to craft a wider range and greater NUMBER of powerful abiltiies. Long story short....the variety of builds that are effective in this game is about to explode. Such that everyone isnt' going to be stacking super mods and farming for enhanced hand cannon reloader mods. Which is going to make this game a lot more interesting to play from an RPG standpoint....and increase the replayability of the game.

There’s a lot to be said about the space magic or potential downgrading of it once Shadowkeep is released. I’ve always felt that as you progress and your character lvl and light increases your power should be noticeable. This makes your time investment in game worthwhile and surround that with good loot and holy smoke Batman we’ve got ourselves a fun game to play. Sadly, weaker and watered down characters were the norm when D2 launched. Bungie was called out on this during the beta and replied that the beta was an old build. Not so old as it turned out. Fast forward to the paid expansions. QoL changes occurred alongside paid expansions. Go fast, ability regen, etc. The game actually improved exponentially with the release of Forsaken. Another paid expansion. Notice a pattern? Given what we’ve been told thus far there is indeed the potential for a power/space fantasy regression. I for one hope this doesn’t occur but until we actually play Shadowkeep we won’t know for certain.

1 답변There is no evidence to state that the cooldown rates are slower. Most likely they will stay the same, and at max intellect disciple or strength they will be the same as if you had a full set of mods.

All of the game is deceptive. They pretend Shadowkeep will give you these gimmick ‘finishers,’ then you play and realise what you paid for is just 1 finisher per class. It’s pathetic & nothing. Where is the rest of them? Eververse, of course, because it wouldn’t be Bungie if they didn’t charge you things they have already charged you before. They gotta scam you somehow, right? Be very careful of whatever they decide to change, sell, remove or add. It is always not in the best interest of the player. They think about nothing but their bank accounts. Their greed and severe incompetence know no bounds.

The entire point of the change is to encourage min/maxing and for players to work toward specific builds. They aren't buffing ability rates because if you build your set correctly, you should notice a net increase rather than a stagnation. And if you really want to continue aping with super mods, then they've given you the option to do that too. But the new build will have more options and allow people to max super recharge or whatever else without relying on only 1 kind of mod and not using anything else.

What worries me most is the way they said the annual pass was really tough for them and how that ties into temporary content. Put it this way, it doesn't look like seasons are going to contain that much if one activity per season was too much for them. Then add in the fact the content is temporary, so they don't have to put as much effort into it. With the way fixes go currently, I can't see anything that's broke or bugged being fixed either. Take Reckoning, it's nearly 2 seasons since it was introduced and is only just getting a rework, under the new system it would be long gone by now.

Totally agree on the armor part. Lets take a piece of Opulence armor with Enhanced HC Loader/Heavy Ammo Finder/Hive Armaments/Super mod. That will be impossible to replicate with armor 2.0 even on a level 10 mw armor piece.
