I know it's the cool thing to do to just jump on whatever big complaint there is and hate on Bungie regardless of the situation but here's another good article by Mr. Tassi that may give a little perspective to some players. I'm sure the guys who haven't played in over a year but continue to bandwagon hate on the game and Bungie will surely find their way in here with plenty to say but here ya go:

However, it's funny how Destiny is "Free To Play" considering you have still have to pay to progress. - Exotics are largely underpowered, underutilized, and inferior to many Pinnacle weapons. So one of two things has to happen: either Exotics take the backseat or Pinnacles get nerfed so badly it's a waste of bloody time to pursue them. Adios, Recluse. And it's not like they're going to be amazingly strong. To paraphrase a certain development team, "that would trivialize the game." - Artifacts are honestly the most intriguing thing about Year 3. However the thought of fully leveling something only to have it reset and lose perks is kind of a disappointment. Why can't we mix and match perks from different seasons? Too overpowered? Then why the put the perks in the game in the first place? Whisper is the poster child for that nonsense. - It's to my understanding that Armor 2.0 won't be compatible with Y2 Armament mods. So for accomplished players, that armor is already an inferior choice when raiding. Sure, Armor 2.0 has cosmetic draw, but it will be passed up for serious play. It's just Bungie trying to be sly and entice tryhards to use pretty armor over what works best. - Strikes. Having to defend Shadowkeep with strikes is a troubling sign. They've been rendered largely useless because Legendaries are inferior to most Pinnacles. They only serve to force 40+ runs for Vanguard Pinnacles now. Once again, Pinnacles ruined another grind. - Crucible maps...... yay. They're just a few more places to put bullets in heads. That's worth celebrating how? Once again, their only redeemable factor is that they're free. So. Again. Yay? - Archon's Forge technically can't be compared to a seasonal activity because it never got deleted. It respected player time and stayed for the whole year. Just because the minority of Johnny No Lifers killed it in 2 days, doesn't mean the majority did. I helped many people grind for Saladin's Vigil throughout the year. - Wrath loot had largely static weapons and set perks on armor. Some were very useful. Others, not so much because of numerical balance and developer chosen perks. Oh, and a cool Exotic quest that DIDN'T RELY ON RNG. Never once did I see people complain about 100+ runs and no Outbreak Prime. Considering the track record for D2, Black Garden raid will have randomly rolled weapons (Inferior to Pinnacles), RNG Exotic, AND raid armor we had the chance to buy in Season 2. - Personally, I was happy to see the Rise of Iron battle pass idea was scrapped. Luke Smith said they want to create a "you had to have been there" vibe for Destiny. Been there for what exactly? Considering most of the loot that fits into that category is simply being handed to me for just playing, I'd wager it wouldn't make for an interesting story. "Where'd I get this insanely cool helmet? I just grinded Public Events until the game just gave it to me. You had to have been there, man, it was awesome." At least Rise of Iron required a little bit of specific work. Give me a break 😂 And to create a sense of urgency/FOMO they're resorting to deleting content in 3 month intervals. - Dungeons are just glorified strikes. Shattered Throne has mostly terrible loot. The only remotely cool things I got from it was Izanagi and Wishender. It's very clear that Tassi suffers from the same emotional dedication to Destiny that many suffer from. It blinds them from realizing that Destiny is built from so many conflicting systems. None of the activities flow. They all conflict. PvP vs PvE, Pinnacles vs Exotics/Legendaries, Static vs Seasonal, Loot Chase vs MTX. It's all disregarded because they're so dedicated to wanting Destiny to be good. Bungie is trying to steamroll everything all into one game. And as we learned with Y1: when you make a game for everyone, you make a game for no one. Edit: spell check

That’s okay I think players can make up their own mind and give their own opinions. When you say guys that haven’t played in over a year do you mean me? Because the last time you made that bogus claim against me I proved how wrong it is to make ignorant claims like that.

4 답변It isn't a contest... RoI wins. Biggest issue with Shadowkeep is lack of loot. If you don't have loot, it will fail, and it has no loot so far from the reveals. The raid still isn't being supported properly with Bungie dragging their heals on changes that they need to make NOW before the entire raiding community just leave. (People seem to forget D2 raids are actually one of the worst placing raids even on console).

Its an alright argument against anyone comparing shadowkeep to rise of iron, but not against what people are currently upset about, reskins, no vendor changes (besides eververse of course) and content we pay for being removed. People complaining about any little thing they can find in the game is annoying as -blam!- but so are the people who blindly defend it even when there are problems and when bungie needs the criticism, neither help the game evolve into something better. The blind defence is why it took so long for bungie to change anything from vanilla d2 and CoO because they had people telling them not to listen to the problems other people were already noticing and convinced them it was perfect the way it was(byf even admitted to being one of these fans in one of his videos, telling bungie the problems weren't there and how he realised supporting this belief did no help to the game), until even those players jumped ship and bungie was left desperately trying to fix it, we didn't start seeing a proper turn around until between warmind and forsaken. I don't want a situation like that again because people can't accept that their favourite game has a problem, and instead of asking for a fix, straight up deny the problem exists. Destiny is my favourite game and so I want it to be the best it can be but that means discussing it's problems.

Paul Tassi apparently doesn't understand how people buying games expect access to everything in that game without having to pay extra, and how AAA game development adding microtransactions to hide " the goods" is f to the ing ridiculous.

Finally someone is capable of doing a proper comparison. People on here are always -blam!- about how they think Destiny 1 was better, but never give Destiny 2 an actual chance. They don't talk about any of the positives that were mentioned in this article because they're too busy -blam!- about the few things Destiny 1 did better. This article summed up what I've been thinking for the past year. Thanks for posting it.

Nothing wrong with D2, it’s a very fine game. Nothing wrong with D1, it still is a very fine game. Imho, comparing the two has always been suspect as far as what point is trying to be made. They’re both very good games, and it has always bothered me to see one side hating on the other.
