With all this talk about Armor 2.0 going on, I'm (and I'm sure many others) left wondering what will happen with all of the weapons?
It's odd to me, and many others (I'm sure) that they have continuously spoke of the new armor, yet have said jack-shit about any of the weapons!
What happens to the weapons mods? Are they staying the same? Are the old mods gonna be competing for space in the menu with our new armor mods? If so, thats gonna be a helluva lot of space taken up....
Here's me hoping that all the weapons in this game go completely random rolled!

I assume that if they don't say anything about it, it's probably not gonna change. I did read Paul's article earlier today and I agree that year 1 fixed rolls dropping amongst year 2 random rolls is going to be weird for new players but whatever.

1 답변I believe it has been confirmed that weapons are staying as is. Weapon mods will continue to work as before as 1 time uses. The new armor mods do not take up space, they are only view-able when you pull up armor. I do agree with the sentiment of Paul, that from a collections and systems standpoint, things are going to get confusing fast. They should make all armor in collections armor 2.0, so that there isn't multiple versions of the same armor set.

2 답변작성자: Sinisis 8/28/2019 1:02:21 PMWhy update both weapons and armor in 1 dlc, when you can split both updates and push each as "content" for 2 dlcs!? I'm pretty sure Bunga will rework weapons eventually, however, given their history, it won't happen with Dattokeep. They'll probably release it as part of the season pass. Bungo!!! King of the reskin! PS: Everything that was great in D1 was deliberately removed and slowly added back as "new content" for pay. Such is the Way of the Bungo; Bungodo!

3 답변What’s wrong with the weapons? The armor changes are fixing the cosmetic problem, no such issue with weapons

1 답변Only if they implement new mods with the weapons 2.0 that are capable of outshining the current mods. Otherwise people would just choose outlaw or kill clip or feeding frenzy. The new mods would also have to be careful not to step on the existing exotic perks.

3 답변No news is good news if you ask me. They are already random roll so I don't know what you're really asking for.

3 답변I think your wording of “Weapons 2.0” is confusing people. I think I get it, you want them to update the old stuff to our current system. But using the wording 2.0 sounds like it refers to armor 2.0 which made it so there were no random perks, but mods that you equipped. I think some people think you want weapons not to be random rolled and that’s confusing it. Or maybe I’m wrong idk.

2 답변I hope they don't bring weapons 2.0 to the game if its styled after armor 2.0 (no perks, just insert mods). It would make the game too boring, everyone would use exactly the same thing. I'm fine with the current system. Random rolls plus a slot for a mod to improve it in the way you see fit. One of the biggest mistakes they made in making d2 was removing random rolls. People said they hated random rolls, but everyone left when they realized how boring it was getting the same thing over and over again. So yeah, heres hoping that if Weapons 2.0 is a thing, it is random rolled fully and not modeled after armor.

1 답변I don't see any issue with weapons as is. God only knows we don't need another grind for things we already have.

1 답변I believe that they should give weapons the same treatment they did with armor. Some engagements in Crucible can LITERALLY be determined by having an "Enhanced Unflinching" mod and having rng be a role in PvP is just bizarre. Also, us choosing the perks would add more depth and uniqueness to builds. However, this opens the possibility that looting and shooting wouldn't be as fun because a Raid chest piece can have the same perks as a Strike chest piece.

I would like to build my own weapon, like buy a common version of Duke 44 with no perks and then level it up with exp. At certain thresholds a perk node will unlock and I could then go to banshee and buy the perk I want for that node. Once masterworked a unique perk node could unlock and you could place semi exotic perks like +10 health/shield bump on a kill or partial mag fill on a kill or +15 rate of fire.

2 답변We have Weapons 2.0. They're called Pinnacle weapons and they ruined the weapon grind. Armor 2.0 is mainly cosmetic related. Unless you play like, 2 hours a week, Y2 armor with great perks (and armament mods) will be the better choice.

1 답변If you remember we already had a weapons 2.0 and it was a disaster with a lot of things being nerf but as you are referring to the customisation of weapons I don’t think that it necessary

4 답변
It's odd to me, and many others (I'm sure) that they have continuously spoke of the new armor, yet have said jack-shit about any of the weapons!
Not as odd as it seems, they just don't have anything to say because they have nothing of real value to show us, weapon wise. It will be another year of quests for earning (again) recycled D1 weapons.
