I just watched a really good video from Aztecross about subclass abilities from D1 that he would like to see return in D2. It reminded me of how much fun the Fireborn ability was. For those who did not play D1 it enabled Solar Warlocks to self res from the dead by hitting their super. It had a lot of uses in both PVP and PVE. It saved many a Raid, Nightfall and Heroic Strike from disaster. But it was really the most fun in PVP. Even in the last year of D1 players would be taken off guard by it. The best (and most fun) use was when you were killed at a Control Zone (particularly if there were several opposing players there). The key to using it properly was to wait 4 or 5 seconds before activating it (amateurs would hit it right away and most times would end up get nailed right away too) and just as 4 or more guardians would be doing their victory dance while capping the zone (or even better t-bagging you) BOOM you self res and take out all of them! That was always a riot! Anyone else miss this?

14 답변I would agree if the ability was given to Hunters. Then maybe it would be used with skill and confidence. I don’t believe this ability should be in the hands of the type of people that use Warlocks. It was removed because Warlocks used it to cheese encounters which almost ruined the game.

Honestly I miss radiance more than self rez. Never cared for it since you don't have immunity when you do. The moment you try to you get domed by a sniper. Just about every sniper could one shot supers with a head shot unless it was one like defiance of yasmine.

Ok initially I don't like self res but then I thought of something...what if the self res was given to an exotic that says something along the lines of ”for a short moment after your whole fireteam is eliminated, come back from the grave at the cost of super energy” or (all ability energy instead ) so like the Aeon Arms every Class could have an exotic for this. On top of sacrificing your ability energy so you could activate your super to try and clutch because when you die all your ammo is gone, or you can't use Melee or Grenade energy for a short time. The class ability should be allowed as team shooting can melt barricades as well as warlocks in rifts, next the dodging could help the clutch come through...idk otherwise I feel like too many cheese situations in pve so this forces the use of a team and might even help nightfall challenges (big maybe there)

1 답변I don't miss it, but I do miss Radiance. With the right set up, you could deal so much damage just tossing Solar Grenades.

29 답변im glad its gone, it was a crutch for low-skilled players that couldnt get ahead without relying on a mulligan. instead of using a helpful super they just rely on dying. dont use sun singer class to give your team grenade spam or extended duration for maximum orb generation, just use it like a bail-out for your bad positioning.

3 답변Don't really miss it. It wasn't that good in pvp since supers were more easily dealt with. self res was the easiest super to take out since they were stuck in the animation. It was better in quickplay where people didn't pay attention. In trials, playing against good players, it was better to run radiant skin Well of radiance is a better super than self res

2 답변I miss Dinklage hovering over our shoulders as we scour the wastes of earths moon... What's this... it looks like some sort of hive spell locking these doors... I bet they've been locked for centuries.. some used to say a stranger would wander these parts, perhaps a guardian of the old city... let's put that hive rune to use and see what's inside.... Oh.. OH NO... WE'VE WOKEN THE HIIIIIIVE!!!!

They removed it because they didn’t want A- Players just sitting on their super B- Seeing death as a strategy in Raids ,Nightfalls etc I personally believe Selfres should return for one of the Dawnblade trees ,Sunsingers in D1 had their super time reduced quite a bit when they resurrected so I feel having that implemented would be great Hell ,even another subclass tree as a whole with the original super would be cool too
I just want my Tlaloc back
I miss the Radiance Super and neutral game as a whole more than Self-Res. I'd just use Radiant Skin and start going to town on a team, even after the nerfs to Viking Funeral and Flame Shield. And no, I didn't use Fusion grenades.

I liked the bad self res PvP players that revived right in front of me just to get shotgunned a 2nd time! Self-res played to the D1 ‘hero moments’. Bungie do not like that any more and want success to depend upon all players fulfilling a role. One or two players reviving themselves and pulling off an amazing raid completion seemingly goes against everything Bungie want the game to be now.
