Hello,
The announced event on Mars sounds pretty cool to me. I like these sort of mega events, but this strikes me as the perfect chance to offer a reward a lot of us would really go for and get us into armor 2.0! I think a good amount of players liked the EP armor sets.. I certainly completed two sets myself, and when armor 2.0 was announced this was the first set(s) that came to mind as an option.
My suggestion: (and I know its been floated by other players to some degree)
Upon successful completion of the event, all participating guardians should be awarded with 1 redeemable token for an ornament set appropriate to the class turning it in. One per account, one set. This way, players can still grind for the two missing sets and we can break into armor 2.0 with some sweet options to play with.
EDIT: Some people have suggested 2.0 armor pieces could drop instead, which would also be awesome.
For an emblem and menagerie rewards, I'll swing by mars occasionally..
For EP ornaments, I'll live on Mars and slaughter the hive until they are driven back to the abyss that spawned them...
Something to consider anyway, Bungie.

23 답변Yall know this event is a trap right? Why is bungie having everyone grind just EP right before shadow keep, Especially after all the backlash for the grindy Solstice event? Bungie is going to monitor what weapons and supers are being used to melt the EP waves so they know what to nerf for shadow keep. " keep the game challenging". How many times have you heard that phrase in the last month? Because they've dedicated most of their resources and staff to the solstice event and the preparation for cross save move/ shadow keep they need us in a small confined area to more easily observe what we use as our "go to" gear. So don't use your S+ tier gear during the EP event, use like your B class gear. (Time to dust off that origin story) Bungie are like the vex we have to give them garbage data. Anyone that takes this seriously is a goof.🤣

In other words ALL armor (Y1, Y2, Y3, Calus raid...) that drops after Shadowkeep launch will be 2.0. Just stack your legendary EP keys until 1st October and turn them in after SK launched. Simply. You will have a complete EP 2.0 set on day one of SK if you start stacking your keys now.

1 답변I'd much prefer Y2 versions of the Ikelos weapons with their signature perks locked as static perks. Ikelos SG: Random barrel, random 1st perk, random middle column perk, Trench Barrel Ikelos SR: Random barrel, random 1st perk, Seraph Rounds, Box Breathing Ikelos SMG: Random barrel, random 1st perk, Seraph Rounds, Disruption Break Ikelos HC: Random barrel, random 1st perk, Seraph Rounds, random 2nd perk

3 답변Honestly I’d like to see a full set of ikelos weapons some day. The design style is just awesome. Wouldn’t mind armor variations either though:).

I'm not saying I'd complain about it if they gave us 2.0 items for this event, whether they are ornaments or actual armor. I don't think it's a good idea for them, however. Grinding out whole new sets under 2.0 when Shadowkeep drops is what they want. They want you to play more. Giving ornaments that can cover any set of armor defeats that. We just grinded a ridiculous amount for the SoH armor, which will give us the 2.0 armor when SK drops. If they then allowed everyone to get 2.0 sets during a one week community event, they'd lose the justification for having the SoH armor be the one 2.0 set.

1 답변Wish they would just bring everything back from destiny 1 like the strike rewards the permanent shaders Psion flayers and those awesome mantels they dropped :) Doubt they will but I still hope

Foremost, I doubt we see EP armor added to the ornaments’ pool until its expanded; in addition, they need to probably make some space for this on console. Next, given the need to run specific activities to gather the materials for EP armor chest keys, I have the strong feeling people will not be going for EP armor to the degree they may wanna. Subsequently, if Bungo doesn’t give EP weapons the Y2 treatment (something they should address posthaste), then I doubt we anyone besides New Light player runnin’ EP. Finally, I do think that if ornaments are expanded to non Eververse armor sets, EP is a prime candidate; so there is SOME (little) hope.

4 답변I’d be happy if they just update EP to not require 5 weeks before you can get a full set. They need to just make armor drop randomly from beating the wave 7 boss instead of the key system — or at least if you have already completed the key system.

작성자: steveokillz88 8/25/2019 4:22:16 AMThis is just a test to cut Mars content. Not gonna play it at all. Content should be cut. It's also probably for nerf data as well as others have stated. Best move is to not participate at all. Don't be a sheep

They should offer the 2.0 Armor for it early. We may not be able to do much with it, but it's something to go for. This Mars event feels like a time sink that may not be even worth it considering the age of the content, player numbers, and rewards. Probably every one hates resonate stems by now and EP's weapons and armors are outdated. Ikelos Shotgun and SMG may be the only weapons worth grinding for, because the Sniper Rifle is no longer anything special, and the exotic that took its unnerfed perk is now just a shadow of its former self. It's safe to assume that the targeted goals will not be reached and it would be a surprise if it was. Player numbers are still pretty low, and Bungie's expectations for the current playerbase is too damn high.

2 답변I think EP should give rewards in general because only dropping Genotype-Null gets boring quick. What are the general EP drop odds anyways?

1 답변Are you seeing this community challenge as a new grind or gameplay reward for somewhere you would normally go play? The loot reward is already going to be represented with increased drops from menagerie. And all armour in the game is getting an upgrade in October. The way I look at it. This is a step in the right direction towards dynamic patrol zones. I’m not sure how much investment on their behalf is required to keep a running tally of these objectives across all platforms. Also I’m not sure on how often they can give feedback about the progress into this challenge, which daily results on reset would be perfect. If they can do this easily enough, then the few extra steps to making changes to patrol zones based of player involvement can be done. Resulting in an ever changing dynamic patrol zone experience. Unlimited (although minor) content for the PVE experience. Want to lift the weight of constant content construction a bit? Ding, here it is.

This event should have armor 2.0 sets available from EP honestly. This event sounds ridiculously lame already. An emblem is not an incentive to participate. Also, why TF do we have to earn additional Menagerie rewards?? That should’ve been a given just to improve player base moral. Once again, Bungie and their meager, pathetic reward structure. It’s getting so damn old.
