Why would I need more PvE time? I completed every raid that has come out this yearly pass week 1, and grinded all the curated rolls from each. I have grinded all the good rolls I need from black armory, and a good spare rations from reckoning. Most of the weapons in menagerie I had good rolls of already. The reason I don't play more PvE is because the game is too easy and boring. I have talked to some content creators and they agree. Discords are pretty open, and random top players hop around and talk in scrims. It is a small world the PC population is kind of low. I haven't spoke to Datto specifically, but have played against people from his clan.
