I was extremely happy to see this, being in her pj's helped me feel her playstyle, personality and attitude towards life, the fact she was comfortable to dress like this in front of millions shows that she doesn't see us as consumers or her pay day, she saw us as a community people she wanted to meet, learn and know. ever since activision this has not been possible, now they have been split, full diverse communication is possible more than ever. My daughter worked for WoW and they literally would have PJ day where ALL employees came dressed in their PJ's.

[Duplicate of something a said in another similar post] I admit at first I thought this was totally in-appropriate. BUT, I'm going to buy into what she was, I want to believe, playing at. When she got her turn to set up her Warlock and then later when they ran the strike she showed and emphasized that her whole play style, here, was causal, laid back, and easy going. EXACTLY like the way she was dressed and lounging, her whole body language emphasized her play style. Ideally, if this was the plan, she did a magnificent job of not just getting the point across, especially with arc buddy, but you will not forget it anytime soon. You'll forget the other two by the next reset but not her and her setup. So if this was the plan, and I'll keep it in my head it was, and the fact that perception molds reality. Then she was one of the best instructors from Bungie we've had in some time. But if I went to a conf and saw someone come out like that I'm betting I'd shutdown and/or leave within 5 mins.

I'll say one thing, regardless of opinion, we don't really know her, like at all as a Bungie dev (or personally). As a matter of fact, we really don't know anyone at Bungie and there is no real way to get to know them. The only time they ever stream is to put on some show to reveal something with people I barely know and have no reason to care about. They are barely social with the community even during it. I can watch Warframe's 4-5 streams a week and get a more active experience. Every stream isn't even a big reveal, it's a news roundup and then just hanging out and even playing with the community and chatting, they look at fan art and fan concepts, answer questions and ideas when they can. They just do it so much more, you actually find them to be likable, you begin to care about them, and the experience is that much more chill. You begin to know them and their personalities through sheer time and exposure. It's enough that I really wouldn't care if they were casual or lazy looking for one day, I know and like them. I'm sure this was the only stream of the 3 they plan to do that Lisa was involved in, so when that is what you choose to look like and act to a bunch of people who don't even know you, like at all, that ONE time, it really comes off wrong, unprofessional, just whatever you thought of it. One time. And that's what you do? Like, why should I care about this "presentation stream" when you visually appear not to? Part of a presentation is how you present yourself. If it was to show Bungie as a casual workplace that doesn't really care about PJs, I don't care, that is irrelevant to the presentation. This wasn't "Hanging out at Bungie" This was "what the hell is happening with Armor 2.0?" I really think Bungie's first step to actually connect with the community is through more streams. Just play the game, hangout, discuss topics, answer feedback, ANYTHING. It's impossible to actually evaluate concrete thoughts on Bungie itself because they only ever show their faces less than 10 times a year. If nothing else, she represented the audience to a tee. Casual, just wanted to relax, wasn't interested in going super MLG with 100% uptime. I can respect that. Was it an unprofessional look? Yes. Was it unprofessional for the context of the stream, what the audience is, and what the importance of the stream was? Not so much. Let a lady chill for goodness sake. They were literally just socks.

This thread is truly sad, with all these people getting hung up on what she is wearing. Shows how petty some people are.

I know for a fact some tech companies allow workers to dress super casual so they can be more relaxed at a stress heavy job, and game development is way up there. As for doing it live while promoting a product to millions of potential customers; I honestly think that was part of the schtick. She was likely catering to the laid back, super casual dad/mom audience - Arc Buddy and all.

The only people that are mad at how she was dressed are boomers over 40 who think retail workers owe them their life or the ones that think saying “You’ve lost a customer” has any impact whatsoever.

So many people butthurt over this. I could not give a flying shiit what someone wears as long as the game is good. Bungie: Shows cool new armor builds that they spent months building. Fans: Oh my god, she's wearing comfy clothes *cries in little biitch* Bunch of -blam!-.
