Yes.
Because a business that can’t pay its bills shuts its doors.
Bungie isn’t running a charity. They are running a business.
What part of microspending for weapon skins paid for the development costs of Zero Hour was unclear to you??
No one is at Bungie diving into piles of gold like Scrooge McDuck. Games like this are expensive to make and maintain, and those costs need to be paid.

작성자: bronze189 8/14/2019 2:10:20 PMYou do know that this game has dlc right? Not only that but the micro transactions were already bad just because they added new armor to ever reverse every season but nothing else in the vendors get updated except for pinnacle weapons. The idea that “bungie is not a charity they need to make money” is just funny to me because it follows the idea they already do not make enough money. Its not like they are coming out with a constant flow of “free stuff” that warrant more money like in destiny 1 where they would release medium free dlc sized updates. You actually have to pay for the seasonal content dlc and the main dlc’s. The only excuse they have for the future is the free version of destiny coming out but that version does not include really anything other then the base game planets and armor. Does not even come with any if the dlc content or raids, its mainly just pvp. XD instead of sympathizing for no logical reason other then “i dont think they make enough just cause” look at what is actually “free” in this game and realize most of the stuff in this entire game is not free. Edit: hell they dont even have dedicated servers to spend money on they use peer to peer, the cheapest form of online gameplay you can get on the market.

You do know that all you’re paying for is the development of the content contained in that DLC, and nothing else right?? DLC and mtx replace the revenue that MMOs have traditionally generated with subscription fees. What you’re paying in dlc doesn’t begin to fully cover the costs of all the services this game needs.

What services? Balancing? Events? Because the events have their own set of micro transactions and balancing the game does not cost much at all in videogame development, its probably the cheapest form of video game service you can get. I would actually like to see the so called numbers that proof they don’t already make enough money and they need more emphasis on eververse because last time i checked their are a million concertante players in this game.

작성자: TheArtist 8/14/2019 2:43:20 PMSeriously? Seasonal content. Pinnacle weapons. Free events. Frequent patches to fix in-game problems like Lord of Wolves....the SoH armor quest in the EAZ that the community was unhappy with. Nerfing the Iron Banner armor quest that the community was unhappy with. Exotic weapon quests like Bad Juju and Outbreak Perfected. Gambit was just made freely accessible to the entire community..... Cross-save is about to drop and will be available to everyone. The entire FIRST YEAR of the game is about to be made free to ANYONE who wants to play. ALL OF THIS COSTS MONEY AND MANPOWER TO PROVIDE TO US. No one is working at Bungie for free. Their salaries cost money. The materials they work with cost money. Bungie's shareholders expect the business to make money, and the value of their share of the business to increase from year to year. Like so many gamers these days----and Millennials in general----you see things through the lens of self-interest and entitlement.
I would actually like to see the so called numbers that proof they don’t already make enough money and they
WTF makes you think they owe you that.....and WTF are you to decide how much is **enough** money that someone else should make for THEIR work and THEIR risk?? 1. Unless you are a Bungie SHAREHOLDER or creditor...they don't owe you SHIT about the financial workings of Bungie. What Smith DID choose to share in his blog yesterday was a **courtesy** to us as Bungie customers. 2. If you don't think you're being charged a reasonable amount for Bungie's goods and services...there is a VERY simple, VERY effective solution to your problem. KEEP YOUR MONEY IN YOUR WALLET....and take your business to one of their competitors. But you are NOT entitled to the fruits of their labor at a price YOU think is reasonable. Especially when you make NO allowances for what is required to bring those things to market.

BTW just wanted to point something out in case you misunderstand what i exactly want. I DO NOT CARE if their is a eververse in this game. If they want to make money i do not care in the least bit. What i do care about is the priorities of either putting the eververse store in the director to be accessed at all times VS putting literally anything else in the director (like what OP says up above) I even buy stuff from eververse my self. The priorities though are very apparent and would rather maximize access to spending money rather then making the game more accessible itself and improving gameplay flow.

Lol the badjuju was a paid dlc weapon The seasonal content is paid for And the free events come with their own complete set of micro transactions. Only event in the game at the moment that is technically free is iron banner but you have level advantages in that mode so you need the paid dlc to even compete. Lol i just love how fixing problems in their game and balancing is now considered a charitable thing that requires even more emphasis on eververse. This used to be a thing that happened generally as having a broken game is not fun and they would do it so people would still support their game but now apparently we need to be grateful they even bother fixing the game and should keep giving them money for more things. This idea is why games like madden nfl have a tremendous amount of micro transactions and they say its to help development but they make no improvements every release.
