I'll kill a high value target, runover all of the motes and try to jump into them while they're in the air. Then my teammate just casually runs over all of them and picks them up while I get like 1 mote. Wtf? Fix this stupid crap

19 답변작성자: Demon_XXVII 8/10/2019 5:28:52 AMHas been since the 1st second of Gambit And this is why Tick rate “Motes can seem difficult and inconsistent to pick up at times. Could the mote pickup area be increased?” Robbie: (Bungie) That’s an interesting question. It’s something that we’ve talked about on the team a lot, ‘cus we’ve seen a lot of feedback about it. The thing to consider with this is; the Motes themselves are actually what we call “networked”, which means we actually have to track if two or three players are trying to pick up the Mote at the same time. Basically, the way our tech works is: as soon as we detect someone is trying to pick this mote up so the first person we understand on our side – basically on the server side – that they have the mote they basically claim it, they’ve claimed authority over it. They just get it. Basically what that means is motes are subject to network latency, so that’s why sometimes you might watch one person kill a combatant, a mote flies in the air, it looks like it’s falling on that person, and then you get close to it but that other person picked it up. And you might get a little confused, like “Oh, why didn’t go away immediately?”, that’s just the latency of the game, there is a little bit of latency on that pickup time. So, the thing that would happen if we increased the pickup radius is that you would run into a lot of situations where you thought that you were claiming that mote, but in fact another player actually did. It’s something that we’ve thought about, we’ve definitely playtested it a little bit, we found that in general it felt like players were stealing Motes right from under you more often than not. So that’s why we opted for a slighter tighter Mote pickup radius. It was also our original intention too that picking up motes is actually part of the gameplay loop, right? It’s not something that’s entirely free, it’s not something that you can just be face to face with a combatant and earn that mote immediately. You actually had to have friends helping you pick up, you had to be aware of them on your radar. It wasn’t an intentional design, but at the same time increasing that radius could have a lot of other negative effects. That’s why we’re not super comfortable with doing it at this time.” Source: https://destinyroundup.com/entry/152/12th-16th-november/ And we all know it’s Bungie’s piss poor netcode, Peer 2 Peer, tick rate, engine & server end latency that causes near enough all the issues in Destiny 2

Lionheart You make some valid points and i agree that eververse must be removed from this game but, Whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank just outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

1 답변The motes, just like orbs or elemental orbs, are nothing but a cheap psychological trick anyway. Any sane developer would just assign them to you by default but when it's an object on the ground that you need to pick up/walk over, your brain thinks "Oh, reward!, reward!, another reward!", and so on. These small things are supposed to constantly stimulate the reward centre of your brain, just like health or progress orbs in Diablo 3 for example. There is absolutely no gameplay reason to make them objects you have to pick up or walk over, in fact there are several reasons against it - as you just highlighted. But unfortunately messing with our brains has a higher priority than making gameplay less frustrating. And that's true for most AAA-studios these days.

Yeah I ran over and then slid over several motes several times because it was saying I didn't grab them. That's that much more time to waste instead of going on to the next target. It is a ongoing issue that's not been addressed, and is overdue.

7 답변Gambit is a rigged game ... or so it appears: after acquiring Dredgen and that 4th reset emblem, I steered clear of Gambit because it was unbelievably frustrating; mote thieves, insta-kill enemies appearing whenever I had more than a handful of notes, getting mapped by a red-bar Taken from places unseen, lag / latency issues; weapons that suddenly became utterly useless, e.g., tracking failures, ineffective even at virtual point blank ranges, etc.; compared to getting mapped by an invader with just one or two rounds (bullets) of an identical weapon to mine, etc, etc... And then they introduced the colour-coded armour for each role; I liked this idea, as it enabled me to play my regular role of part-Reaper-and-Sentinel, which is what I was doing most of the time, anyway, especially once my bounty objectives were done. And then Tier 1 of G Prime arrived: did that, got a set of every colour armour, but, seeing the ever-increasing number of hoops to jump through, particularly re Tier 3, it was just not in any way ‘fun’ - for me, so I waved goodbye to Gambit, and that’s where I stayed, until Solstice... Having to re-enter the Gambit arena after such a long absence was a bit of a learning curve: Regular Gambit was the first step...and...nothing much has changed: still the same old issues of mote thieves, lag/latency, etc., as before, only now compounded by constant invasions - which often decide the outcome of a round, regardless of my teammates’ best efforts; also, in between invasions are the non-stop appearances of swarms of insta-kill enemies, especially if I have, say more than a few notes in hand; if, on the rare occasion I had 9+ notes, I knew I was not going to survive long enough to bank them...it happened virtually every time. It still does, only now, it’s even worse. It’s so bad it begs the Q - ‘what’s the point?’ The game feels so ‘rigged’ it is totally unenjoyable. As for Gambit Prime: the same but on mega steroids. The only reason I suffer G Prime is because it’s only one round per game, so it’s usually over very quickly. And that’s not a good reason to play because it’s totally negative...so, again - ‘what’s the point?’ Well, hunting for a G roll Bygones helps; and just getting those Solstice requirements done is a necessary thang... only my W to do! So, Gambit and Gambit Prime and the Reckoning are totally not my idea of FUN. And so it’s another area of the game that I avoid at all costs, unless absolutely necessary for specific purposes. Just like the unfun Raids...I stopped jumping through those ridiculous hoops after the Siva one...especially since they nerfed my pinnacle weapon in The Taken King...after an incredible grind to first get it; and being able as a Titan mit Bubble being able to help so many new Friends and all their m8s complete that year’s Moments of Triumph requirements - especially dropping Oryx on Hard Mode. SMH 🙄 TL, DR? Don’t be so lazy! See top of page...or...don’t! Anyhoo, just my 2d worth. YMMV. Cheers! MDGA

작성자: TheShadow-cali 8/11/2019 5:55:14 PMThere are so many issues that are wrong with Gambit that it's not funny at all that most of it will never be fixed. I stopped playing a couple of times because of that or watching them fall in the map that you can't touch them, like the forge that has the same issue.

Fix this stupid crap
Suggestion to Bungie about this: When someone kills a baddie or “invader”, the motes become the property of the killer & no-one else can pick them up. This will prevent “mote stealing” and puts a premium on taking out bad guys instead of following others around stealing their motes.

Bruh I used super on like a bunch of enemies no teammates in sight would’ve been instant 15 motes. Out of nowhere my team comes in like vultures. I’m running back and fourth through the mote pile smh. Long story short I ended up with 2. I was ready for the afterlife

작성자: Kang_81 8/11/2019 7:06:51 AMI enjoyed Gambit for about the first week after it released. That’s being extremely generous too. Now, half the time I don’t even play it for the milestones, and begrudgingly play it in small bits for any quest requirements. The mode is two different beasts when playing as a Fireteam vs solo. Unfortunately, solo is how I usually play since my clan is pretty much non existent at the moment. (Due to the mess that D2 has been since launch) If I’m busting my ass solo to clear mobs and then my team comes out of the woodwork like roaches to steal my motes, I basically throw the game. If I see that a player busted their ass to create a mass of motes, then they earned all those motes on the ground. I’m going to leave them and help keep enemies at bay while they collect. But if some jerk comes in to steal my hard earned motes, I’ll do everything in my power to make the rest of their match a living hell. It’s common courtesy, which a lot of this community seems to lack.

Just one of the reasons I refuse to play it anymore. I cannot beleive they think making this garbage free to play during solstive is going to pull players in. Its nothing short of rage inducing. I have 44 tributes and am at 70% on the Gambit one but I wont play the mode anymore even to get the Bad JuJu catalyst. My mate played about half a dozen games with me a week or so ago as he was looking at getting Destiny. He is no longer getting the game after seeing how infuriating Gambit is with its constant invasions, lame catch up mechanics, teleporting enemies and all round feel that the game mode is rigged against you if you actually play well and win. He hated it.

I'll farm a HVT, he drops motes as you damage him, then drops like 10 on death, so I'll see him drop 5, super him, so 10 more. I'll run over the motes n think yesssss, then a team mate appears and picked 13 of the 15 up, it only credited with 2, I'm like wtf. Check guys location, Peru. Non regional mm is the bane of this game.

4 답변작성자: Wolfy5079 8/10/2019 1:22:36 PMMaybe add a colour system to gambit. When you first load in, the triangle you stand on lights up in one of four colours for each player. You get the kill, the motes appear in your colour and can only be picked up by you. You die while your motes are on the field and they turn white and can be picked up by anyone on the team. Edit: refining the idea. Fireteams can change their colour to match by shooting the triangle. They cannot however change their colour to their random team mates colour. Edit 2: if you reach fifteen motes, all other motes turn white and become available for all players. If you’re in a fireteam, the motes won’t turn white unless all players in the fireteam each have 15 motes at the same time.
