Though I do see it as an easy way to earn progress on certain achievements such as the gambit pinnacle auto rifle and other such prized beauties. The AFK problem that plagues Destiny is something rather interesting. Though many other RPGs also hold this problem such as WOW players hiring others to collect gold or AFK check bots. I believe the solution to this is quite easy. If the player has gone through a mission such as Gambit, Crucible, Strikes, Forges, Etc. Or any matchmaking event without a single kill or a low threshold of damage caused, they should be booted from the fireteam. Of course, this system shouldn't persist in every mode such as patrols or raids. (Since half the time you're running past adds or waiting for a friend to get back). But high pace modes where you have the chance of being queued with blueberries such as the ones listed above. In a lot of these modes because of the volume of enemies along with the pace of action. achieving a certain damage threshold shouldn't be hard. with the high amounts of adds and players tightly packed in small maps. Another thing you could do is check the damage amount from other players in the fireteam. I think I saw a video of Datto state something like this in a video but I'm not quite sure. Altogether I believe that AFK players ruin the game for a lot of people. I'm also venting my last forge run where I had an AFK that made the other person leave. Then matched with them a second time. I don't believe this is post violates any of the Guidelines. Though if you see me complaining about AFK bots as a personal attack I do value your opinion and would like to see your side of the argument. I would like to make friends rather than enemies in this post so again, I value all information and would like to hear from whoever wants to respond to this topic out of the hundreds of similar topics there are already.
Thank you for reading and have a good solstice grind

작성자: michael 8/7/2019 9:16:20 AMStop locking S+ tier weapons (Spare rations, Last man standing) behind modes that are most efficiently farmed by AFKing and people won’t do it anymore. I AFKed like 100 gambit games (In a 4 stack so I didn’t grief matchmade teammates) in season 7 because you pretty much need a good spare rations to not be at a disadvantage in crucible. Last man standing for the outstanding range + one two punch for PvE and shutting down supers. I wouldn’t have done that if there were other ways to get two of the best guns in the entire game. If they were in the menagerie pool for example, people probably wouldn’t afk gambit anywhere near as much. In terms of solstice armour, bungie should just stop requiring you to simply be in a match to progress quests and stuff.

3 답변An even better idea would be to create quests a bit more creative rather than mundane tasks such as "do x amount of Gambit, Crucible, Strikes etc.

7 답변Or better yet: Fix the atrocious game modes and mind numbing checkpoints. Exotic quest: do crucible matches, get pvp kills, do a mission, more crucible matches, hey look more pvp kills, now into gambit for no reason... The issue is that the tasks are just outright boring and time consuming when they don't need to be. Look at the solstice armor, it proves it. Green and blue are almost copy/paste of each other with higher numbers on blue. What happened to "crucible or gambit" option? Gambit, and it's entire dlc, is a known cespool of crap. This has been known since it launched, and still remains the case. Now forcing people to play it for hopes of finishing armor, it shows even more how terrible the experience is. As someone who hates pvp, I would rather do 10 crucible than the beating head against wall that is gambit. Ps, damage won't help in gambit prime. Last I checked, a good collector isn't doing much in terms of killing things... Ps, for all my fellow blow off gambit-ers: Gambit prime counts, is max of 10min investment, and you can burn through completes quicker.

6 답변Got all three chars done, even with all the afk. It adds a little time, but doesnt stop progress. Shit, i cant fault them for doing it in gambit. Gambit sucks.

6 답변Love the idea that for progression/rewards to count you have to do minimal participation.

No. The mechanics are bad and arbitrary. If people AFK so much the game is clearly bad. Banning people in any way is -blam!-. Destiny wants to pretend to be an MMO? Suck it up buttercup. This is the shitty mechanics you advocate that brought us to AFK players. This is your bed. Sleep in it, -blam!-.

Really only a problem on pc. Maybe afl forges too, but that’s mostly lower light people. If they aren’t lower light, try to extend the time of the forge so the player eventually gets kicked to orbit. Afking on console isn’t really seen at all because pc has macros.

I said this a while back about rewards in crucible. Whenever there are bounties or something that requires so many matches, it should say matches completed with a minimum of # kills. Nothing that anyone would find impossible, just so we know people are actually playing, and not just afk for a completion. When I mentioned it a while back, it was more a reference to getting rewards for doing nothing. But now with all these specific bounties going on it kinda plays into the same complaint.
