So Solstice of Hero's... a bust.
Solstice armor is just a grind for armor 2.0 now instead of a farm when the delayed Shadowkeep launches in October because Bungie didn't wanan compete with Boarderlands 3.
Eververse..... Is Eververse.
So do some really still believe that all the problems with D2 was 100% of Activions fault ?

1 답변
So Solstice of Hero's... a bust.
Disagree.
Solstice armor is just a grind for armor 2.0 now instead of a farm when the delayed Shadowkeep launches in October because Bungie didn't wanan compete with Boarderlands 3.
Disagree. BL3's release date has been know for months. If Bungie were actually concerned about that, they simply would have never announced a release date...and then announced theirs AFTER Gearbox committed. to a date. There was no reason whatsoever to annouce a date and then change it.
Eververse..... Is Eververse.
Is only an issue for people ideologically opposed to MTX. There is NOTHING in that store that you have to have, or that impacts game play in any way. No lootboxes. No predatory practices. Just people who want free stuff.
So do some really still believe that all the problems with D2 was 100% of Activions fault ?
Never said they were. But looking at the changes Bungie has made since freeing themselves from their contract?: I'd say a LARGE percentage of the problems with D2 were due to Activision and their insistence on the "Call of Duty " business model (just look at Black Ops 4)....and their wish for another e-sport (Activision owns Major League Gaming). Since the split. Bungie is making changes that are largely being applauded. Whereas Activision seems to be in chaos...to the point its negatively impacting Blizzard now too.

2 답변Activision: invests $500 million in Bungie's project - lets bungie push back their release date by a year - lets Bungie renegotiate their contract - lets Bungie push back their sequel by another year - enlists two other game studios to help Bungie make content Forums: Activision ruined Destiny!

1 답변Just like you said it's a grind until shadow keep. Did you think they were just going to hand this armor over.

2 답변I don’t think very many people claimed it was 100% activision’s fault... more like a 50/50 split imo. They will be able to take as much time as they want to make content the way they want to, but micro transactions are going to go through the roof since they have lost their funding. Alas, the split was both a blessing and a curse

작성자: SkellRino 8/10/2019 1:51:51 PMIt is only a medical and historical fact at this point that Activision has a so-called staggering track run of injecting its deathly grips into smaller studios for the entertainment industry. To entirely leave out Activision from tge equation or to entirely blame them, however, (either extreme) us pure lunacy. That being said, I have come to learn the hard way that Bungie also has a track record for seeing their consumer base as cattle instead of as fellow humans. This is why you never trust most companies; they hunger without anything in return. Edit: android typos suck

Not Activisions fault at all. Look at what they are doing to eververse. You won't even be able to get bright dust out of engrams anymore. You want to save enough bright dust? Go do mindless bounties for a measly 50 bright dust etc. They are hoping people won't put the time in and will just buy silver. Time is money after all

Activision had a big part in the flaws in eververse and artificial grind but bungie is solely responsible for stagnantion and miscommunication. All the community needs is a reliable strip map of where the game is headed not oohs and ahhs with hush hush hype. Bungie has improved and its only going to get better and that comes from not dealing with Activision.

2 답변Bruh. Activision’s a publisher. They can push deadlines and set up DLC models, but other than that Bungie’s been the one designing the game. I doubt anyone seriously believed Bungie was without fault for anything.

2 답변I'm pretty sure Activison is still with them until Shadowkeep? I might be wrong. I'll be drawing my line in the sands of the moon when Shadowkeep launches.

작성자: Maxximus Aurelius Rexx 8/8/2019 7:47:36 AMTo some extent. But Shadowkeep is really their last chance, to prove to the last of their loyal playerbase, that they aren't total scumbags. I personally have liked the last few seasons I got for $20 in June 2019, seems like they actually have tried to add shit. Hopefully Shadowkeep is like Forsaken for $40 and not their Destiny 2 version of House of Wolves.
Like I got a thing that said something like, "Thanks for being a Y1 supporter."
Not 100% but a lot was ok them. Yes micro transactions are a big part now but it both Bungie and our faults.... If people keep buying the eververse crap then that's still a viable source of revenue. Any business would continue to do it. Any source of income a business can make why wouldn't you. Activision was a lot if the problem when it came to quality of content since deadlines were rushed.

작성자: DredLaP 8/8/2019 12:06:49 AMIt was never on Activision. Bungie needs to figure out who and what they are and then stick with it. Make the game they want and let people know what that is, Then people can stay or leave, if they dont like the plan. The delay was to let friends from gcon, who have been asking for a different date to allow them to play and stream both releases.

Yeah, people think downvoting this post will change the fact that this is all on Bungie. News flash! Bungie and Activision had to sign a contract in front of a judge in order for Tess to take place. Activision did not bend Bungie's arm in front of the judge.

1 답변작성자: Niinja Slayer 8/7/2019 3:48:54 AMPretty much yes, since Solstice was still designed under Activision’s control. Remember Shadowkeep is the first content drop without Activision. And Solstice was probably finished in design when Opulence was being tested so Solstice has been in the pipe for several months.

3 답변To be fair, a lot of this stuff was probably planned on in development before the split.

I think some of it was activision, But a majority of it is Bungie. Bungie hasn't released a new strike in coming up on a year now, Crucible hasn't had a quality of life update in that time now, weapons meta is still just hand cannons, pulse rifles, slide shotgun. Raids are just overly complicated mechanics, Bosses in raids don't even fight you anymore like some bosses in D1 or even any D2 leviathan bosses. The PvE teams are more than likely busy with shadowkeep, But unless Crucible is going through a huge change in Year 3 (I highly doubt it) there should be no reason crucible hasn't been updated.

1 답변작성자: ct-walls_007 8/7/2019 5:09:28 AMI really think people are getting too upset about solstice, yeah eververse is still a thing but they are cosmetics, and destiny is a grindy game that from the sounds of it will only get more grindy. Still not as bad as festival of the cost. And at the end of the day you don't have to do this stuff, and you don't have to buy the glows, and shadowkeep being delayed isn't a big deal.
