Solstice of heroes just makes everything feel like a chore for no reason. I was playing and just not having fun because I knew that if I wanted to have fun then I would have to switch my armor and loadout to what I want to use and play around with, but if I switched my armor I wouldn't get any progress towards any of the solstice of heroes armor. It really makes no sense why I have to go and do 10 gambit matches or 10 strikes when you have this new mechanic that makes your super last longer or gives invisibility and true sight. Why not have the progress based on the elemental orbs or any of the new stuff, not the stuff we have done 100 times over already. This event just isn't fun and feels like a huge haunting checklist floating over my head any time I play anything else that isn't getting progress done for solstice armor.
Edit: I'm not complaining too much about the grind as I am complaing about what activities you have to do for the grind. They could have easily made it more about the actual premise behind solstice of heroes rather than just "hey, go do what you have already been doing for the past 2 years but this time with more orbs." Why not make the EaZ more interesting rather than the barebones area it is. To be fair this is just an event and not a DLC but it's been executed poorly in terms of interest and entertainment, and this a summer event.
Edit 2: Also, I am still playing the game, I didnt stop playing because of solstice. I have been having fun running weird loadouts in crucible and doing raids with my friends, basically doing what I want. However, I would have liked an event where it wasnt about grinding for new armor at all, but an event that made it feel like summer in the destiny world. Something that we could all just have fun with and not have to worry about getting progress done towards anything. Something like a crazier version of soccer in the farm social space or the air hockey in the tower during the dawning but bigger and better.

5 답변The grind is insane. I haven't even got one set of armour past blue yet. I thought the stupid people who insisted on forcing people to play all worked for Activision.

1 답변The most fun I've had in a while was dismantling my Solstice armor and ignoring this crap they call a celebration. Same goes for Menagerie.

9 답변Bungie thinks by making the requirements long that equals a good grind. Unfortunately all it does is make you frustrated and annoyed. I for one decided not to even try to level SoH. Right now I am just doing core bounties and collecting materials for Shadowkeep

작성자: Black Howling 8/6/2019 9:52:27 PMI figured they'd have us run some of the Forsaken campaign missions with a few added surprises, but what we got feels like a community beta test. They could have had some fun if they did "What if" missions using different factions. What if the Hive were the ones that attacked The Last City, or the Vex, etc.

Should've extended the grind a bit more with the option to choose which activities the player can do in order to progress. The longer, more difficult activities progress you faster, but you can still progress with regular gameplay (strikes, events, bounties, etc). That and make it all account wide, that way if you get bored of a certain class/subclass, you have the freedom to switch it up.

2 답변My god, why are you still playing this game. It's not a job, you're not getting paid to do it. I can relate, though. The other day I was standing in my living room banging my head against the wall and I thought to myself, damn, why did they make this wall so hard. So I called up the people who built the house and complained, "Jeez guys, I'm just not having any fun banging my head against this wall." Of course, the people I called didn't even respond, and they made a vague reference to my complaint on their TWAB and said they'd fix it next time... yeah right.

작성자: Corrick II 8/5/2019 8:51:23 PMThey could have gone so many different ways with this and actually made it a celebration of our accomplishments as well as make the armor upgrade process unique and meaningful to each piece. But no... They went the usual lazy route of filling in the same numeric fields, having us collect and kill the same things, and creating unlock steps that promote gameplay that is antagonistic to the team. Good job Bungie. Maybe you can use this feedback in “other expansions down the road.”

Not sure if you are a hardcore player or not but THIS is what the grind feels like for people like me. As you said, "Solstice of heroes just makes everything feel like a chore for no reason." for me, much of this game feels like a chore for no reason. That is how a lot of people have felt about A LOT of this game and most of those folks are gone. I'm glad you are starting to see what happens when bungie knows you will grind... They will grind you harder.

1 답변Rubix I 100% agree. The worst is the MISERABLE 100 EAZ bosses grind where everyone has to do damage on it, and the fast people get there first and blow it away with a rocket launcher. Makes me hate this activity and want to quit. Like, quit D2. Because I’m so tired of out-of-touch gaming decisions by this company. I get about 1 MB per EAZ run now. I have 60 more I will have to do to complete this thing. It’s getting worse because people are trying to do it so fast and have figured out how to beat everyone else out for the minibosses. Does not exactly encourage team play, as it is completely competitive and favors hunters with their extra mobility. And the hunter mobility boots just went on sale at Xur....

It's awful. Way too much of a grind. Way too time consuming. They're relying on three things to give us something to do, and it's the same as everything else they give us to do. Strikes, gambit, eaz. That's all it is. Just those three things over and over and over again. The armor is cool, bit the event is a bust.

It’s just the usual grind until you drop meme from Bungle. I am shocked it’s not 10,000 orbs to increase the light of the garbage armor they are pushing off. After last weeks IB fiasco where you had to grind to earn armor, the utter contempt the Bungle “developers” have for the players is more and more evident. It’s a game now for the streamers to “instruct” us plebes what to do. The EDZ aerial zone sucks too.
