That's be because there is no innovation and longevity in this game that's suppose to be a MMO. And before people say it isn't, Destiny has always been a MMO, but extremely bare bones. And that is the problem. This game isn't designed for longevity. It's for designed for the short term and in the moment. Your armor and weapons get left behind to just to stay in your vault and MMOs don't normally render content irrelevant. Armor that gets left behind for better items can't be sold or traded to other players. On this issue, people give the excuse that trading isn't "earning" something or low level players shouldn't have good items. In those points, you people are wrong. If you trade an item that you earned, you earn what is given in return. And low level players can't equip high level items due to level restriction anyway. So there is no in game economy whatsoever. People also say this would attract more cheaters and people paying real money for items. People already pay to be carried through a raid and there's really no difference between paying for a raid carry or the item. The fact that you pay at all is the issue and you can't stop everyone from doing that.
Perhaps items could be broken down into crafting materials. And yet we don't even have crafting! A basic MMO concept and we don't even have that. Raids and their drops become irrelevant due to this issue, on top of maps that have become irrelevant play areas due to lack of incentive (The Farm has little use, as a glaring example). And perhaps the most baffling thing is that D2 was not an expansion onto D1 itself, making you pay for recycled content and leaving behind your progress. That is not a game built for longevity. I hope D3 doesn't continue that trend, but be prepared. So without going on and on, simply this game is not designed for the long term.

작성자: GalaxySpider 8/1/2019 12:26:34 AMWoW renders gear irrelevant with almost every yearly expansion. This is a normal procedure in MMOs and I always wondered why people were so shocked to see that in a console game, no matter how bare bones Destiny is. Get new stuff and leave old shit behind cauz that's how it works and that is how the industry works, otherwise you wouldn't earn money at work either. In WoW cash shops exist. Cosmetics exist. Trading exists. Every MMO has them. On top of that you pay a monthly fee and NO ONE complains there. Servers cost money. And many free-to-play MMOs, especially from the asian market, for PC can barely hold themselfes up, except for the real big ones who had the luck being the "first" ones. Obviously people never really played an heavily focused online game or "shared world" games, how MMO-light games are called nowadays, before. People here still think Destiny is a Halo with a clear cut between single and multiplayer. That's my impression when I check in here daily. People can buy what they want with their money. In Waframe for example, people basically pay for the same Warframe they already have (Prime versions, with minor differences in some aspects) for nearly 60(!!!!) dollars. That's the price of a full retail game! Free to play or not, IMO that is insane and yet, people love it for some reason. And DE is shitting at the community as well with constant nerfs of frames and reworks. And yet, Bungie gets flamed for some sparrows and stuff? Whut? Maybe people should start to play for fun. I for once love the game for how it plays, not for how Tess' shiny boxes.

작성자: Salamander 7/31/2019 10:15:36 PMYeah and that's exactly the problem. Bungie didn't even officially call this game a MMO until Shadowkeep. I do hope since they've come to terms with the model of what this game is that it will get better, but after being tossed around with how D1 and D2 have been handled, I'm keeping my guard up.
